Abstract

This study examines the da‘wah messages embedded in the song “Eling-Eling Umat” by Ebith Beat A, focusing on how its lyrics promote the obligation of ṣalāh and cultivate spiritual awareness among listeners. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, this research draws on document analysis grounded in the theory of fiqh al-ṣalāh and da‘wah through creative media. The findings indicate that the song conveys explicit messages regarding the mandatory nature of ṣalāh and implicit messages related to its spiritual virtues and the consequences of negligence. The lyrics integrate normative religious teachings with creative da‘wah strategies expressed through popular musical forms, enabling broader public engagement. The study concludes that popular religious music can function as an effective medium for strengthening awareness of ṣalāh and for enhancing the community’s spiritual connection to Islamic values. Keywords: Ṣalāh; da‘wah; religious music; Ebith Beat A; fiqh of ṣalāh; popular culture.

Abstract

The limited internalization of religious values and information in Islamic Religious Education learning in schools is often caused by insufficient consideration of neuroscience and cultural aspects in the learning process. This research aims to discover an appropriate Islamic Religious Education learning model with a Deep Learning approach that aligns with efforts to strengthen cultural values embedded in the learning process, adapting this learning model in Islamic Religious Education with a cultural approach implemented based on neuroscience knowledge. This research employs a mixed methods research model, utilizing qualitative data with a phenomenological approach to identify students' learning style tendencies in schools, while quantitative data is used to confirm and test findings from the qualitative data. The results of this research demonstrate that 1) the three dimensions of the deep learning approach are interconnected and influence Islamic Religious Education learning at every educational level, 2) adapting the Deep Learning approach based on Cultural Neuroscience into the learning process supports the existence of cultural values in learning implementation, 3) the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning through the Deep Learning approach with the Cultural Neuroscience concept not only has implications for improving Islamic Religious Education learning competencies, but also for developing cognitive abilities and students' capacity to contextualize Islamic Religious Education learning. Keywords: Learning approach, Deep learning, Cultural neuroscience, Islamic education

Abstract

The implementation of the murur scheme in Muzdalifah emerged as a strategic response of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs to the extreme crowding observed during the 2023 Hajj season. The scheme allows eligible pilgrims to pass through Muzdalifah without staying overnight after completing wukuf in Arafah, proceeding directly to Mina. Priority is given to elderly pilgrims, individuals with high medical risk, persons with disabilities, those with obesity, wheelchair users, and officially assigned companions. This study aims to examine the operational management of the murur scheme, analyze its policy implementation using the Van Meter and Van Horn framework, and evaluate the effectiveness of its execution. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the operational management of the murur scheme was sufficiently effective during its inaugural implementation. The Decree of the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Affairs No. 137/2025 further outlines detailed procedures for the 2025 Hajj cycle, covering the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina phases. The study contributes to strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing pilgrim safety, and supporting continuous policy refinement within large-scale Hajj management systems.  Keywords: Murur Scheme; Operational Management; Hajj Performance; Policy Implementation; Van Meter–Van Horn Model

Abstract

Depression is one of the mental disorders with a high global prevalence, while pharmacological approaches often fail to address the psychological and spiritual aspects that are at the root of the problem. In Islamic tradition, hadiths contain emotional concepts such as huzn, ghamm, and ya's, which have the potential to form the basis for the development of psycho-spiritual interventions. This study aims to analyze the meanings of these three terms in the hadith of the Prophet and construct a model of Islamic psychological intervention relevant to the treatment of depression. This study employs a thematic-hadith (al-maudhu‘i) qualitative approach, utilizing lafziyah search, takhrij, sanad-matan assessment, and thematic analysis in conjunction with Islamic psychology theory. Of the 30 hadiths that were successfully collected, 5 hadiths passed the criteria of authenticity and relevance. The analysis shows that the hadiths offer three therapeutic interventions: prayer as spiritual-cognitive regulation, talbinah as a biological intervention that affects mood stability, and al-hisā' as aroma-based sensory regulation. All three are consistent with Malik Badri's model of Islamic psychotherapy and Najati's psycho-physiological theory. Hadiths with the themes of huzn, ghamm, and ya's not only describe emotional conditions but also provide a framework for psycho-spiritual interventions that are compatible with modern psychotherapy. This study opens up opportunities for clinical trials of the resulting intervention model.Keyword: Depression; Hadith; Islamic Mental Health; Psycho-Spiritual Integration; Spiritual Intervention.
