Abstract

Formation of Community in Strengthening National Character Based on Religious Moderation for Students in Kudus Regency. This study examines the empowerment strategy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Macanan Village through a participatory approach conducted by UIN Sunan Ample Surabaya Community Service Program students. Using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, this study aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs with a focus on strengthening legality, marketing digitalization, and product innovation. The findings indicate that MSMEs face various challenges, including limited access to business legality and low digital literacy. Programs such as registering MSME locations on Google Maps, creating a Business Identification Number (NIB), creating business labels, training on social media optimization, and product innovation have successfully increased business visibility. In addition, these interventions also strengthened social networks and built MSMEs' self-confidence. This study concludes that empowerment strategies based on local potential not only contribute to economic growth but also to positive social change in the community. Recommendations for program sustainability include continued efforts in mentoring and training, as well as the integration of digital technology.

Abstract

Building Positive Relationships between Teachers and Children in Kindergartens in Wonosari District, Klaten. A positive relationship between teachers and children is an important foundation in early childhood education that influences social-emotional and academic development. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of KB-TK teachers in Wonosari District, Klaten in building positive relationships with children. The community service method consists of several stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Participants involved used a stratified random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The results of the interview and observation analysis showed the enthusiasm and interest of the participants, while the questionnaire results showed a significant increase in understanding before (pre-test) and after (post-test) (90% of participants experienced an increase in scores). The evaluation results also showed an increase in teacher readiness in implementing two-way communication strategies, providing positive affirmations, and an individual approach that is responsive to children's needs. This activity successfully strengthened teachers' relational capacity and is expected to create a conducive learning environment for the holistic development of early childhood in Wonosari District, Klaten.

Abstract

Developing a Resource Mobilization Strategy for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in Jolotigo Village, Talun District, Pekalongan Regency. This research focuses on community vulnerability as a result of climate change, types of threats, impacts, efforts that have been made, impact assessment, and types of mitigation adaptation actions. The aim is to analyze mitigation adaptation actions to control climate change. The fundamental problem that occurs as a result of climate change is a high level of vulnerability due to threats to people's livelihood sources, while community capacity is still low. This research uses the PAR (participatory action research) method with a participatory approach. Involving various elements of society in analyzing problems, planning actions, and of course trying to integrate with related policies. Data collection uses PRA (participatory rural appraisal) techniques such as seasonal calendars, socio-spatial mapping, trends and change. The results of this research show that there are various potential mitigation adaptations in controlling climate change in society. Various resources that can be managed are alternatives in increasing mitigation adaptation actions both internally and externally

Abstract

Program Pembentukan Komunitas dalam Penguatan Karakter Kebangsaan Berbasis Moderasi Beragama bagi Mahasiswa di Kabupaten Kudus bertujuan untuk membentuk ruang partisipatif dan berkelanjutan yang mendorong mahasiswa dari berbagai latar belakang untuk memahami, mempraktikkan, dan menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dan karakter kebangsaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) yang berfokus pada identifikasi dan pemanfaatan aset lokal—baik individu, institusi, maupun nilai budaya—yang relevan dengan penguatan toleransi dan harmoni sosial. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, diskusi lintas agama, kampanye digital, serta pengabdian masyarakat yang melibatkan mahasiswa dari Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK), Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus (UMKU), dan ITEKES Kudus. Hasil utama dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya Komunitas Moderasi Beragama sebagai wadah berkelanjutan bagi mahasiswa untuk berdialog, berkegiatan sosial, dan menyuarakan nilai-nilai kebangsaan secara inklusif. Komunitas ini berhasil menyelenggarakan berbagai forum diskusi rutin, kampanye toleransi di media sosial, serta menjalin kolaborasi dengan tokoh agama dan masyarakat desa sekitar. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ABCD efektif dalam mendorong kepemimpinan mahasiswa dan memperkuat peran kampus sebagai pusat penguatan nilai-nilai moderasi dan kebangsaan. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah perlunya replikasi dan dukungan institusional dari kampus dan pemerintah daerah agar komunitas serupa dapat berkembang di wilayah lain secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Rukyah Equipment Training at the Fadhlul Wahid Ngangkruk Grobogan Islamic Boarding School to Support the Effectiveness of Hilal Observation Implementation. This Community Service activity aims to improve the capacity of students and ustadz of the Fadhlul Wahid Ngangkruk Grobogan Islamic Boarding School in mastering rukyah devices to support the effectiveness of hilal observations. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a practice-based training approach, so that participants not only received theory but also actively participated in problem identification, solution formulation, and field practice. The results of the activity showed significant achievements, where the level of understanding of participants reached 90% in the use of cameras and rukyah devices, and 85% in mastery of theoretical material, although there were still limitations in certain instruments. The implication of this activity is the need for continuous training and intensive mentoring to optimize instrument mastery. The suggestion is that this practice-based training model can be adopted by other Islamic boarding schools as a strategy to strengthen the role of Islamic boarding schools in the development of astronomy and determining the beginning of the Hijri month.

Abstract

Developing The Cognitive Abilities Of Children With Special Needs Through Animal Introduction At Al-Achsaniyyah Islamic Boarding School. Stimulation to develop the cognitive abilities of children with special needs requires interesting and interactive learning media. Introducing animals and their habitats is one effective theme for this purpose. This community service program aims to develop the cognitive aspects of children with special needs at the Al-Achsaniyah Islamic Boarding School in Kudus through the service learning method. The activities were implemented in the form of interactive learning, including visual recognition of animals, picture guessing games, and creative activities such as making collages from origami paper pieces to enhance concentration and fine motor skills. The results of the activity showed an increase in children's enthusiasm and cognitive abilities. Specifically, children were able to recognize various types of animals, classify them based on their habitats, and demonstrate improved focus during the creativity sessions. Evaluations from the teachers stated that the media and methods used were very helpful in making the learning process more engaging, interactive, and effective in stimulating children's cognitive development.

Abstract

The AIDS Commission (KPA) Strategy in Preventing Transmission Among Adolescents in Cirebon City. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) are two health issues that have attracted global attention for several decades. Despite the significant advancements made in HIV therapy and treatment, prevention still plays a crucial role in efforts to control the virus's causes and mitigate the consequences for individuals and society. This research aims to understand the strategies used by the AIDS Prevention Commission in preventing transmission among adolescents in Cirebon City, with a focus on prevention aspects. Although the AIDS Prevention Commission (KPA) has been doing well and operating in accordance with its duties to prevent HIV/AIDS in Cirebon City, not only focusing on adolescents but also on the community in Cirebon City. The activities that are specifically focused on adolescents include the Youth Health Post (Posyandu Remaja). This activity focuses on providing education and understanding about the importance of HIV/AIDS prevention as well as materials related to youth issues. In addition, there is a primary hindering factor faced, which is the lack of understanding among adolescents about HIV/AIDS, making it difficult to conduct screenings, and this will become a problem that needs to be addressed immediately. This will affect the ongoing activities of HIV/AIDS prevention. This research is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving KPA institutions and other related actors. Data analysis is conducted through data mining, data reduction, and conclusion drawing, using source triangulation. The results of the study show that, despite the occurrence of several inhibiting factors. This research recommends direct intervention from stakeholders to assist adolescents who do not yet understand the knowledge related to HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Empowerment Of Kepeng And Fish Cracker Business Actors Through Training In Packaging And Marketing Of Local Processed Products In Padike Village, Talango Sumenep-Madura. This community service activity aims to empower local food-processing entrepreneurs producing kepeng and fish crackers in Padike Village, Talango District, Sumenep Regency through packaging and marketing training. Based on the initial identification, business actors in the village still face various limitations, particularly in packaging design, promotional strategies, and product legality. In fact, the potential of local raw materials and skills is highly promising for development into more economically valuable enterprises. This program was implemented using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes exploring and utilizing local potential through five stages: discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny. The activities were carried out on 14–19 April 2025 and involved 15 local entrepreneurs. The results show that participants experienced significant improvements in technical skills and marketing strategies. Approximately 80% of participants began packaging their products with attractive labels and started marketing them digitally. Social impacts were also evident, including the establishment of a joint business initiative and increased self-confidence among entrepreneurs to compete in markets beyond the village. The ABCD approach successfully fostered collaborative and participatory spirit, forming a foundation for program sustainability. The conclusion of this activity indicates that local potential–based training using a participatory approach can enhance the capacity of household businesses both technically, socially, and economically

Abstract

Strengthening Religious Literacy as a Means of Social Empowerment for Marginalized Communities in Koto Iman Village. Marginalized communities in Indonesia often face exclusion in various aspects of life, particularly in accessing education and religious understanding. This condition limits their ability to gain knowledge that could improve their quality of life. One critical yet overlooked aspect is religious literacy, which goes beyond reading sacred texts to include an understanding of religious values that promote social transformation. Strengthening religious literacy can serve as an effective tool for social empowerment by introducing values such as justice, solidarity, and social change tailored to their lived realities. This study explores how religious literacy can be utilized as a means of empowering marginalized communities. Specifically, it analyzes relevant and contextual forms of religious literacy, examines implementation strategies, and identifies the challenges encountered in strengthening religious literacy among marginalized groups. Using a qualitative approach, this research combines literature review and in-depth interviews with religious leaders, community figures, and social institutions engaged in faith-based empowerment. Thematic analysis is employed to identify key themes related to the forms, strategies, and challenges of implementing religious literacy for social empowerment. The findings aim to offer practical recommendations to strengthen religious literacy as a sustainable tool for community empowerment.

Abstract

Optimizing The Faith And Devotional Night Guidance (Mabit) Activity To Improve The Spiritual Intelligence Of Students At Al-Mutmainnah Diniyah Madrasah Winong Jetis Ponorogo. Spiritual intelligence is very important for every human soul, although brain intelligence (IQ) cannot be denied. Many people have intellectual intelligence, but fail in living their lives and social activities. They have personalities that do not integrate between reason and heart. This guidance process prioritizes the balance of life in the world and the hereafter, through the practice of sharia. This community service activity aims to improve the spiritual intelligence of students at Al-Mutmainnah Islamic school Winong Jetis Ponorogo through the activity of fostering faith and piety nights, and analyzing the success of the mentoring process in the activity of fostering faith and piety nights towards improving the spiritual intelligence of students at Al-Mutmainnah Islamic school Winong Jetis Ponorogo. This service uses the PAR or Participatory Action Research method. PAR is a research process that involves human resources (HR), especially researchers and devotees, which aims to solve problems. Results: The process of implementing the mentoring of the night of faith and piety activities at the Al-Mutmainnah Islamic school includes several stages. First, it begins with preparing a plan that includes activities to formulate objectives, socialize the program plan, determine schedule of activities and tasks of the mentors, and determine indicators of activity achievement. Second, the stage of implementing activities in the form of coaching, training, monitoring, increasing spirituality through Islamic tausiyah/storytelling, getting used to obligatory and sunnah worship, and others. The last stage is evaluation and continuous improvement.
