Conference on Community Engagement Project -Community service is one of pillars in Three Pillars of Higher Education. Community service is the implementation of practice of science, technology, and arts to the society institutionally through research methodology as the implementation of Three Pillars of Higher Education and responsibility to improve the ability of society. Therefore, it can accelerate the growth rate of the national development goals. To support the practice of community service, UIB Research and Community Service Center organize a Conference on Community Engagement Project (ConCEPt) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas universities. This conference is expected to significantly spread impact the results of community service that are directly implemented to society and spread information about science, technology, and arts to society.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to implement the promotion mix program in order to increase the number of customers, increase income, and expand public knowledge about Time To Eat coffee shop located at Ruko Eden Park Blok D No. 15-16, Batam Center, Batam. The method of implementing the activity is divided into several stages, namely the preparation, the observation stage, the data collection stage, the problem identification stage, the marketing strategy design stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the activity show that the program has been running effectively with the addition of 10% new customers and an increase in sales turnover. It is recommended that partners use the results of this design optimally and consistently if they want to develop further.

Abstract

Cen Sui Lan is a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the Riau Islands constituency in her 2019-2021 term of office. During her tenure, there have been many programs carried out, such as socialization of the four pillars, distributions of daily necessities, and the construction of STT flats. Even so, she faced a dire problem. Her works have not been widely known by the citizens of Batam. Therefore, Cen Sui Lan needed a form of media, such as motion graphics, to inform the Batam community of the programs she had done so far. The methodology applied in this research is an applied method by developing motion graphics videos using VideoScribe software and Adobe Premiere Pro. The results of the motion graphics videos will be uploaded to Cen Sui Lan's social media. The video will give more information about the works of Cen Sui Lan as a member of the House of Representatives and improve the public image for Cen Sui Lan's performance.

Abstract

Khalila Batam Dental Care merupakan salah satu jasa usaha mikro kecil dan menengah di Batam yang menggunakan microsoft excel sebagai pencatatan akuntansi yang memiliki beberapa persoalan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menyusun sistem akuntansi dengan microsoft access. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menyusun daftar pertanyaan dalam bentuk wawancara mendalam terstruktur untuk menemukan kebutuhan yang diharapkan oleh mitra. Merujuk pada hasil wawancara, maka mitra mengharapkan adanya form data nama dokter, nama customer, nama supplier, kartu piutang, kartu utang, laporan arus kas, laporan perubahan modal, dan laporan laba rugi atas persoalan yang belum diakomodasi microsoft excel. Penulis berhasil menyusun sistem akuntansi dengan microsoft access dan memenuhi ekspektasi atau harapan kebutuhan dari mitra. Bahkan, penulis menambahkan laporan neraca untuk membantu mitra mengetahui kondisi keuangan bisnisnya secara andal. Pengabdian masyarakat ini memiliki kelemahan karena belum sempurna sebagai sistem akuntansi yakni tidak memiliki sistem pembukuan persediaan. Hal itu tidak disusun oleh penulis karena mitra tidak mengharapkan adanya pembukuan persediaan. Dengan demikian, penulis merekomendasi dua hal, yakni mengimplementasikan sistem akuntansi microsoft access ini terkhusus form-form yang saat ini dibutuhkan serta kartu persediaan dimasa depan jika kondisi bisnis semakin kompleks.

Abstract

The problem that is usually faced by teachers related to the preparation of teaching materials is that the teacher gives too much material or teaching materials and sometimes even too little explanation of the material being taught. The facility of ICT that covers internet access and technological tools availability becomes the main problem teachers have in the ICT integration. This research resulted in the creation of site-based learning materials for independent learning media. This output is intended to be used as evaluation material in order to make resolution steps related to the author's problems encountered during the implementation process. The authors performed three methods of data collection techniques. The author carried out this method using quantitative methods. This method the authors use to overcome obstacles based on the findings. The findings show that the integration of vocational and high school learning in English subjects is not suitable for integration considering that their scientific studies are different. Therefore self-learning based learning using ICT is suitable for application.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan usaha dari mitra serta memberikan jalan keluar melalui implementasi program kerja yang baru pada Toko Paris Furniture. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memfokuskan dalam bagian advertising dalam menggunakan metode digital yaitu dengan mengimplementasikan e-catalog sebagai alat bantu dalam mengiklankan produk toko tersebut melalui layanan internet ataupun sosial media yang tersedia. Hasil dari wawancara serta pengamatan secara langsung merupakan sumber pendataan dalam mencari masalah serta merancang program kerja tersebut. Hasil dari pengamatan dari pelaku pengabdian kepada masyarakat ialah mitra masih sangat minim dalam memanfaatkan internet sebagai salah satu media pengenalan produk dimana pada zaman milenial ini penggunaan internet telah sangat merebak dimana-mana. E-catalog merupakan alat bantu yang akan cukup effisien dimana sebelumnya mitra hanya menggunakan catalog konvensional dalam mengenalkan produknya kepada calon konsumen, dan dibantu oleh whatsapp sebagai sarana direct marketing dimana pada catalog tersebut akan terletak sebuah icon yang dimana ketika di klik akan langsung secara otomatis me-redirect konsumen kepada halaman Whatsapp dari Toko Paris Furniture Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melakukan implementasi cukup memuaskan dimana ada beberapa orang yan melihat hingga menanyakan produk dan ada juga beberapa yang berhasil melakukan pembelian sehingga penerapan e-catalog tentu membantu mitra.

Abstract

The development of technology that cannot be avoided by the community and its rapid distribution flow, of course, can provide benefits for business actors in developing their business. Branding on products that are marketed becomes a marker for the community. This study aims to test empirically related to the implementation through a trademark registration mechanism. The method used in this activity is qualitative by developing the theory and implementing it, which is then compiled in a report on community service activities. The results of these activities such as understanding more about a brand, the function of the mark, the mechanism for registering a mark which is carried out online, and the benefits received after registering a mark for online business actors.

Abstract

Since the age of 3, children have been trained to understand the world little by little and shape their own personalities and characters. Children around the age of development tend to learn behavior and articulation through sight and hearing. Hearing educational stories in early ages will help them learn good traits more quickly. Children educative stories can become one of the sources to shape and build good characteristics of children. In collaboration with IOM, HMPS Architecture UIB has created a special audio visual story for children to understand. Delivering story plots with audio and visuals through the story of "It's Dyra" will provide positive results to build positive mindsets of children. The story will be distributed via YouTube and SoundCloud to make it easier to be shared directly to viewers

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design an accounting system for E-Mobil Parts owners. E-Mobil Parts is an online spare part shop on at online platform. E-Mobil Parts has been operating for 6 years and manually bookkeeping the accounting records. The manual bookkeeping causes ineffective and inefficient for E-Mobil Part for preparing the financial report. To retrieve the information needed for the design of the Microsoft Access-based accounting system the author conducted observation and interviews. The author will decide on the needs of E-Mobil Parts and create an account list form, customer list form, vendor list form, inventory list form, purchase form, and sales form and reports for the owner of E-Mobil Parts such as income statement, statement of owner equity financial position, cash flow statement, purchase report, sales report, inventory report, payable report, receivable report, and ledger report. The implementation of the accounting system for E-Mobil Parts will run properly and minimize errors.

Abstract

As an important system in education, learning is an interactive space for the building of teacher and student relationships in order to develop self-potential and achieve learning goals. The outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the world, including Indonesia, has made significant changes for all sectors in Indonesia including education. Changes in learning methods from face-to-face to long-distance become a challenge as well as an obstacle to the learning process, not only for teachers but also for students and parents. Therefore, schools need teaching materials that are able to facilitate the distance learning process by making teaching materials. Making digital teaching materials in the form of learning modules is one form of community service. The target of this activity is students majoring in accounting at SMKN 1 Tanjungpinang for the subject of Tax Administration. The output produced from this activity is a learning module equipped with case examples, practice questions, and answer keys. This learning module is expected to make it easier for students during the distance learning process and independent learning and make it easier for teachers to achieve learning goals. It is hoped that this module can continue to be used and developed to support the learning process.

Abstract

Business in Batam, especially Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) often ignore the accounting recording system. Even though they using the system, the system is not applicable in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standard of Micro Small and Medium Entity (SAK-EMKM). By not following the system, many MSMEs do not know exactly the state of the company and only attach to the company’s profit. The company is also will be difficult to make decisions because there are no clear and correct financial statements. As one of the MSMEs in Batam, PT. Mustika Indo Kepri has been running for approximately 10 years, but the managed of accounting system is still done manually. Such recording is less efficient, causing financial reporting to provide less accurate information. Inaccurate reporting can make it difficult to find previous transactions and can also lead to frequent differences between record keeping and physical inventory. The data collection techniques are used start from the process of interviewing, observation and documentation with business owners in the period from September to December 2021. Systems designed using Microsoft Access are able to manage reports such as transaction of cash equivalents, purchase and sales transactions, general journal entry, journal recording adjustment, closing journal entry and inventory recording. So that the processed report will produce a statement of financial position, income statement, statement of change in equity, cash flow statement, and inventory statement
