Abstract

Programs for corporate social responsibility (CSR) The voluntary contributions of businesses to sustainable development are the most frequently accepted definitions of corporate social responsibility today. The Batam City Government's duty is to serve as a liaison between companies and communities or community groups in need of money in order to realize programs sponsored through corporate social responsibility programs, as well as to undertake coaching and monitoring programs on program execution. CSR from the private sector, banks, BUMN/D, and numerous other business industries in Batam can spur efforts to expedite development. This study employs qualitative methodologies and leverages the Batam city administration and corporate social responsibility forums as facilitators between firms and communities or community groups. The effectiveness of CSR is measured in terms of a component of the organization's aim, which is a state or condition that the organization wishes to attain. There are numerous techniques to measure organizational effectiveness that can be used to determine the efficacy of corporate social responsibility (CSR), including the Source Approach (System Resource Approach), the Process Approach (Internal Process Approach), and the Goal Approach.

Abstract

The role and position of public accountants such as auditors are criticized for doubting their professionalism and independence. This condition results in the potential become high risks in KAP, the risks also affect the author who serves as a Junior Auditor at Public Accounting Firm. In this case, the author plans business risk management in the work of the Junior Auditor position to minimize the risk of material errors in doing his work. The research method uses the results of interviews and brainstorming, the results of which are used as events that become the object of research on potential risks that are likely to arise if these risks occur. The results of the event will form a risk register which will be an input in making Qualitative Risk Identification. The results of the study are 5 types of risk events and triggers that occur in Public Accountant, namely; complex transactions (high risk), uncooperative clients (medium risk), high audit schedule (medium risk), final approval audit report (medium risk), and business audit risk (medium risk).

Abstract

The style or method of a school principal in his capacity as a leader will determine the success of improving teacher performance under his leadership. The purpose of this study was to analyze the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance and motivation. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Aek Natas with a total of 58 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques are carried out with 3 paths, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the principal's leadership style applied in schools was able to improve teacher performance. What the principal does is to set an example for the teacher and hold strict supervision and supervision of the teacher in carrying out teaching and learning tasks. The principal also gives appreciation to teachers who excel to be a motivation for other teachers. In terms of increasing teacher motivation, the principal provides a comfortable work environment where young teachers and senior teachers mingle with each other and senior teachers share experiences with young teachers, for example in terms of obtaining professional allowances such as teacher certification. The principal also provides high wages to honorary teachers so that they are able to meet the daily needs of teachers which has a positive impact on teachers because teachers are enthusiastic in carrying out the tasks assigned by the school

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement risk management in Public Accounting Firms (KAP). This research combines field research and literature research. This research uses a qualitative approach and utilizes descriptive data from interviews and brainstorming to obtain field data. Literature research uses literature studies and previous research. The process of designing and implementing risk management starts from risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, and risk treatment. The results of risk identification show that KAP has several risks that can result in complaints from clients, audit delays, wrong opinions, and financial losses. Risk analysis shows that 3 events are at the medium priority level and 2 events are at the low priority level. A risk evaluation was conducted and showed that 5 risk events actually at medium priority. Finally, risk response analysis shows that risks can be mitigated by mitigation and avoidance. Researchers recommend KAP and similar companies to consistently apply risk management in the audit process so that companies can reduce the adverse effects of risks or take advantage of risks in a direction that benefits the company.

Abstract

Differences in student learning styles as part of individual characteristics that cause differences in student learning outcomes need to be considered in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the differences in the learning styles of high achieving students and students with scores below the KKM. This research is a qualitative research with a sample of 50 students of SMA Negeri 1 Aek Natas. Data collection techniques were carried out by giving questionnaires, interviews, and observation. Data analysis techniques were carried out using the Miles and Huberman methods. The results showed that for a visual learning style tendency of 28, students with a kinesthetic learning style tendency of 14, and students with an auditory learning tendency of 8. The learning style of achieving students with ratings 1-3 dominates the auditory where students prefer discussion and active in giving opinions to friends and teachers. The learning styles of students with grades below the KKM are all three. However, students prefer kinesthetic learning styles because the material is delivered practically so that students are more enthusiastic in learning activities.

Abstract

Online consultation or better known as Telemedicine is a technological breakthrough that centered on medical subject, this activity used the internet as their communication media. One of the biggest market potential to promote the telemedicine is social media. This study discusses the influence and impact of surveillance, social interaction, information sharing, entertainment and social media richness towards purchase intention with brand equity as the mediation. The method used in this study is correlational quantitative method with 400 participating respondents and the questionnaire distribution is carried out with the Google Form as a data collection. The outcome of this study revealed that the relationship between surveillance, social interaction, information sharing, entertainment, social media richness and purchase intention with brand equity as the mediating role is significant and positive.

Abstract

Advances in technology lead to a major transformation in the means of communication between users and companies. Likewise, the music industry is also experiencing technological innovation, where more and more consumers are subscribing to online music streaming services, both paid and free. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of usefulness, entertainment, interaction, enjoyment and familiarity on purchase intention for music streaming platform subscriptions in millennial and gen-z communities in Batam City through trust mediation. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with data from 348 respondents collected through questionnaires and processed through the Partial Least Square program. The results of this research indicate that familiarity and interaction have a significant influence on purchase intention through trust mediation.

Abstract

Batam City is a zone of territory that is surrounded by the ocean so it is called an archipelago. And also surrounded by Singapore and Malaysia. Making the city of Batam a strategic position. And because Batam city is an archipelago, Making Batam City rich in culinary tourism especially on seafood. Batam City is also known as paradise for seafood lovers because Batam City has a very large and rich supply of seafood. Seafood is a food that produces a source of animal protein and omega 3 which is beneficial for our health. Therefore, culinary tourism especially seafood restaurants is a promising business in Batam City. Seeing the prospect and high demand for seafood, The seafood restaurant business is also growing and increase in Batam City. This research aims to analyze the effect of Promotion Strategy, Price, Advertising, Quality Service, Customer Trust, on Purchase Decision with mediation of Product Quality in Batam City. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires by google form and the total of the samples used in this study were 400 respondents. This study was analyzed using smart PLS version 3.

Abstract

The use of the internet in human life is made more accessible because the delivery of information and promotion in the MSME sector has become more structured and systematic, which makes visual communication media in the form of video the first choice used in addition to messages in the form of text, brochures or websites. The promotional video is an alternative form to increase the power of visitors and buyers to find MSMEs efficiently and quickly; Star Milkshake is an MSME that is engaged in the culinary field in the form of drinks with various compositions and flavors. In this study, the author uses the MDLC method, which explains in a structured manner starting from conceptualizing, designing, collecting data, collecting data, testing, and distributing. The result of this applied research is the creation of an increase in the economy and income of MSME owners from around 400 thousand per day to 600-750 thousand.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the business risk management plan at the Public Accounting Firm in Batam City and can take action to prevent for minimize the risks. This study uses a descriptive contextual approach to analysis and data collection techniques in this study are interviews. Respondents who were interviewed must have knowledge and competence in related fields so that the data obtained can reflect the actual conditions. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 risks in the Public Accounting Firm in Batam City which include 4 medium risks and 1 low risk. Most of the risks that occur are caused by a lack of audit planning. Therefore, the Public Accountant Office in Batam City needs to implement a more effective and efficient audit plan to be able to prevent and minimize the risks that will occur.
