Abstract

This article describes the community service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, PkM) of the Theological Education Study Program of the Indonesian Catholic University of Saint Paul Ruteng. The target group is the people at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Rentung. This parish is included in the ecclesiastical administrative area of the Ruteng Diocese. It was found that there was a lack of interest among people in reading the Holy Bible in the Ruteng Diocese. To face this problem, efforts are needed to study the Holy Scriptures. The aim of PkM is to help people read and reflect on the Word of God in the Holy Bible and discover values that lead them to an awareness of God as the source of love and salvation. As a result, through sharing and prayer, the people's awareness of God, the source of love and salvation, is revealed.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood. Adolescence starts from the age of 11 – 20 years and is divided into 3 phases, namely: Early phase (11-14 years), Middle phase (15-17 years) and late adolescent phase (18-20 years). Some teenagers show their identity with aggressive behavior in order to be accepted by the group. The form of aggressiveness that is most often carried out by teenagers is verbal aggressiveness. Several studies show that teenagers who engage in verbal aggressiveness have low levels of satisfaction, poor family backgrounds, and low self-esteem. Case data from 2011 to 2019 for bullying was 2,473 cases, with an increasing trend. The aim of this service is to use counseling corner intervention and also reduce verbal aggressiveness, by forming a peer group model that has been previously established with and supporting facilities, this room is used for peer groups to identify problems and also provide solutions to perpetrators and victims of bullying. . The result of this activity was a decrease in the number of students who carried out and were victims of bullying in Islamic boarding schools from 125 students who felt bullied in the last 3 months to 10 children who had problems with friends and this had an impact on students' activeness in participating in activities and also in behaving with her friends. This counseling activity needs to be followed up as a means of support in monitoring and developing students in behaving and politely in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The economy is one of the important axes in supporting human life and welfare. Therefore, efforts to achieve the welfare of life must be based on creative efforts to create jobs. Nevertheless, it turns out that in the reality of life there are various economic problems for humans, one of which is getting a job. In relation to that, the author relates it to the passage about talents in the Gospel of Matthew 24: 14-30. Talents are God's grace that He gives freely to humans from birth. The talents are given by God as an effort to develop his ministry in the world, in this case work, and be fully responsible for it whatever the consequences. Realizing this, the author carried out community service activities in the form of catechesis at KUB St. Luke the Evangelist, St. Andreas-Lasiana Parish Quasi, which aims to interpret talent as a potential in developing an economy that creates jobs. The results achieved were the awareness of the people at KUB St. Lukas Penginjil about the talents that God has given since birth, and followed up in developing a creative economy for the sake of creating jobs.

Abstract

Batu Putik Village has carried out potential disaster mapping, and has determined the potential for disaster based on community perception, namely flood disasters that occur during the rainy season with the trigger being incomplete waste processing. There is no certainty about the waste residue that will be sent to the Ijo Balit Final Processing Site (TPA) owned by the East Lombok district government, creating obstacles for planning modes and mobilization. For this reason, it is deemed necessary to have a community assistance activity based on Participatory Action Research (PAR) which is able to design a pattern for transporting waste residues to the landfill with community involvement to maintain the continuity of the program in the future even if assistance is not provided. This activity shows that the residual waste after sorting is 1,030 tons/day so the optimal mode for transporting it is a dump truck with a capacity of 3m3 or a pick-up with a capacity of 2m3. The travel time required is around 1 hour for a travel distance of 42.29 km. It is highly recommended in further research to calculate the operational costs of Integrated Temporary Processing Sites (TPST) in villages, where waste sorting is carried out as a trigger for program sustainability, especially for TPST independence.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis, often called TB, is a bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Indonesia is one of eight countries that accounts for 2/3 of TB cases worldwide. This disease usually affects the lungs, but can also attack other organs in the body. TB symptoms can vary depending on the type of infection and the organs affected. During the COVID-19 pandemic, attention to other diseases, such as TB has decreased. The increasing risk of spreading TB after COVID-19 is a public health concern. Restrictions on social movement implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic may result in an increased risk of TB transmission among close contacts of TB sufferers. People who have had COVID-19, especially those who have had lung damage due to COVID-19 infection, may have a higher risk of developing TB due to a weakened immune system. This Community Service is carried out to increase public awareness of the dangers of TB that continue to lurk after COVID-19 and it is hoped that through this outreach and education, the public will become more aware of the symptoms of TB so they can check themselves at Primary Health Care.

Abstract

The development priorities in Pujo Kerto village in 2023 are improving village roads, increasing agricultural activities and environmental sanitation, especially the use of cow dung waste. Currently in Pujo Kerto Village, the community has not utilized cow dung waste properly. The situation analysis above is the basis for Biodigester development activities in Pujo Kerto Village. The aim of the community service activities for the Tanjungkarang Ministry of Health's PPDM Health Polytechnic scheme in Pujo Kerto Village: Guiding the Pujo Kerto Village community in constructing Biogas buildings, monitoring biogas construction and the use of biogas for cooking, as well as liquid fertilizer used for watering plants. The methodology for community service activities is as follows: Preparation, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of the activities are as follows: 1) Construction of 1 unit of Cow Dung Biogas building 2) Availability of biogas fuel for cooking for 1 household 3) Availability of Liquid Fertilizer for watering plants.

Abstract

Competency development is an effort made to improve the quality of human resources. Intensive competency improvement is carried out to provide added value to something that is done. Public Relations and Cooperation Training is a need for institutions and human resources, especially in government institutions. SEAMEO QITEP In Language together with the Riau Islands Provincial Teacher Mobilization Center carried out public relations and cooperation training from 18-20 April 2024 in Batam City. This activity was attended by around 60 participants, consisting of elements from the SEAMEO Centre in Indonesia, the Center for Teacher Mobilization, the Education Service, and public relations practitioners. At the start, the need to receive this training was 75%. After training, participants receive an increase in competency and benefits of 95%. This activity aims to increase competence in the field of public relations and cooperation in Indonesia. All participants gave positive responses to this training and provided recommendations for continuing the training. The organizing committee will provide continued support and development for this activity. Participants get benefits from building cooperation to increase the competence of teachers, education staff, human resources in the field of Public Relations, and Collaboration Teams.

Abstract

In the Era of Society 5.0, young people have different styles of interacting, socialising, and/or absorbing knowledge. Coupled with the fact that most of today's students are from the digital generation who are accustomed to speed and convenience in other aspects of life, students expect the same speed and convenience when it comes to learning. Bing AI is an integral part of the Bing search engine platform developed by Microsoft. Built with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, Bing AI aims to improve users' online search experience by providing more relevant and personalised results. As video content continues to dominate the digital world, creating engaging and high-quality videos is a top priority for the younger generation in content creation. Producing videos quickly while entertaining audiences is important to stay ahead of the curve. Vidnoz is a versatile and free AI Video Generator for easy video creation, this is done through the use of Artificial Intelligence and intelligent automation. Karang Taruna Kelurahan Ragunan has many positive activities and actively spreads content on social media such as Instagram but does not yet have knowledge in the use of AI technology using Bing AI from Microsoft and the use of Vidnoz in each content. The Karang Taruna Kelurahan Ragunan administrators need insight in the form of training in the application of AI technology in the distribution of content to be shared on social media and need technical steps in the application of the use of AI technology using Bing AI from Microsoft and the use of Vidnoz. With the training in this community service, it is hoped that Karang Taruna Kelurahan Ragunan can understand the knowledge of the use of AI technology using Bing AI from Microsoft and the use of Vidnoz in every content to be shared on social media owned by Karang Taruna Kelurahan Ragunan and practice and be creative in technical steps in the application of the use of AI technology using Bing AI from Microsoft and the use of Vidnoz in every content to be shared on social media owned by Karang Taruna Kelurahan Ragunan.

Abstract

The digital era has brought changes in various sectors, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out throughout the world. The use of information and communication technology is an opportunity for MSMEs to market their products more efficiently. However, the limited knowledge of MSME actors is an obstacle. Serua Village, Bojongsari, Depok is also one of those with potential MSME groups but is hampered by the digital technology operating capabilities of the actors. Therefore, community service activities were carried out regarding digital marketing training for MSMEs in Serua Village, Bojongsari, Depok. From the results of the pre-test and post-test, progress was obtained from the participants, where participants understood the meaning of digital marketing and had tried to practice using digital platforms such as e-commerce.

Abstract

Waste is the remains of daily human activities from natural processes in solid form. Waste needs to be managed well so as not to damage the environment. The aim of this community service activity is (1) to provide knowledge to students at SD 1 Tanjung Senang, BandarLampung City about how waste can pollute the environment. (2) provide skills to students that waste is differentiated into several types. (3) Give students skills to process inorganic wasteecobrik useful value (4) Increasing students' creativity in processing inorganic waste into ecobricks and hand washing soap from used cooking oil (inorganic). The method used is this: 1) Lecture and discussion about waste. 2). Training on sorting waste, 3) Training on processing organic and inorganic waste into ecobricks and hand washing soap from used cooking oil (inorganic). The result of this community service activity is that it has increased the knowledge of students and teachers in the Tanjung Senang Elementary School, Bandar Lampung City regarding waste, improved skills in how to differentiate types of waste, been able to process waste into goods of use value, and increased creativity in processing plastic waste into ecobriks. . Conclusion: Community service activities for students at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Senang increase knowledge about waste, how to manage it and provide character education for students.
