Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the financial literacy of prospective teachers through an international academic collaboration between the State University of Jakarta, Indonesia, and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. This program is designed to improve participants' understanding of personal financial management and build awareness of the importance of financial literacy as a relevant competency for prospective educators. The activity is implemented with a participatory educational approach through interactive lectures, group discussions, case-based learning, financial planning simulations, and reflection sessions. The main materials include basic concepts of financial literacy, budgeting, saving behavior, simple investment concepts, digital financial services, and financial risk management. Evaluation is carried out through participant engagement, responses in discussions, and reflective feedback after the activity. The results of the activity indicate that participants have increased awareness of the importance of wise personal financial management, especially in distinguishing needs from wants, preparing a simple budget, and understanding risks in financial decision-making.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to enhance the capacity of farmers and livestock breeders through an empowerment program focused on strengthening knowledge, skills, and business independence. The implementation method uses a participatory approach. Activities are carried out by involving farmer groups, livestock groups, village government, and the implementation team as partners in every stage of the program. The results of the activities show an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in the application of cultivation techniques, business management, product processing, as well as the utilization of digital technology to support product marketing. In addition, participants have begun to implement simple business record-keeping, strengthen cooperation between groups, and increase awareness of the importance of innovation in developing agricultural and livestock businesses. The participatory approach implemented has been able to increase community involvement, ensuring that the program aligns with local needs and provides more sustainable benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Quick Ratio (QR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Return on Equity (ROE) on firm value—proxied by the Price-Earnings Ratio (PER)—in iron and steel sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. A quantitative method with an associative approach was employed, utilizing secondary data from the financial statements of iron and steel sub-sector companies for the 2020–2024 period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 9 companies and a total of 45 observations, which were analyzed via panel data regression using EViews software. The results indicate that QR, DER, and ROE—both simultaneously and partially—have a significant effect on firm value. The novelty of this study lies in its use of a combination of liquidity, capital structure, and profitability variables within the iron and steel sub-sector, covering the most recent period.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the financial management capacity of homestay owners through mentoring activities focused on simple bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, operational cost calculation, pricing strategies, and business feasibility analysis. The program applied the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by utilizing local community potential through participatory training, mentoring, discussion, and evaluation. The mentoring results showed an improvement in participants' understanding and skills in recording financial transactions, preparing cash flow and profit-loss reports, identifying operational costs, determining reasonable room rates, and evaluating business performance using financial indicators. The program also encouraged participants to separate personal and business finances and implement simple financial management practices to support business sustainability. The mentoring activities are expected to strengthen the financial resilience of homestay businesses while supporting the sustainable development of Bantaragung Tourism Village.
