Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of *pesantren* (Islamic boarding school) management in enhancing the quality of student education amidst various challenges facing modern Islamic education—such as suboptimal evaluation systems, declining student learning quality, and students' lack of preparedness in determining their educational and career paths post-graduation. A qualitative research method employing a descriptive case study approach was utilized. The study was conducted at the Darul Muttaqien Islamic Boarding School in Parung, Bogor. Data collection involved observation, structured interviews, and document analysis, with informants comprising the Head of TMI, the Head of the Education Division, and students. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, utilizing triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that *pesantren* management plays a crucial role in improving the quality of student education through the systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. Supporting factors include teacher competence, adequate facilities, and consistent educational programs, whereas inhibiting factors include teacher workload and a lack of alignment in vision between the *pesantren* and the students' guardians.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultivation of character values—specifically religiosity, appreciation for achievement, and social concern—and to identify obstacles in instilling these values ​​in students through the *Pencak Silat Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate* (PSHT) extracurricular activity at the SMAN 1 Anjir Pasar Sub-Branch. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the cultivation of religious character values ​​is achieved through practices such as routine prayer, pausing training for worship times, Quranic memorization, thanksgiving ceremonies for rank advancement, and the exemplary conduct of the instructors. The study concludes that the PSHT extracurricular program is an effective medium for instilling values ​​of religiosity, appreciation for achievement, and social concern through habituation, role modeling, and direct experience

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to improve the welfare of waste pickers at the Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Disposal Site, Bekasi, through economic empowerment based on catfish farming and value-added shredded catfish production. The program includes training in aquaculture, food processing, business management, digital marketing through e-commerce, and continuous mentoring. Household organic waste is utilized as alternative fish feed, promoting green economy and circular economy principles. Expected outcomes include improved entrepreneurial skills, stronger managerial capacity, wider market access, and increased household income and business independence. The program also supports the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), university Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly poverty reduction, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and partnerships for sustainable development.

Abstract

The program aimed to document indigenous cultural practices, strengthen community capacity, and develop a sustainable safeguarding model. A participatory ethnographic approach was employed, involving customary elders (Tua Adat), village authorities, and local youth in documentation, validation, and digital archiving activities. The program produced a 120-page ethnographic report, a 30-minute documentary film, a village-based digital cultural archive, and trained 18 village youths in digital documentation. The initiative also strengthened community ownership, promoted intergenerational knowledge transmission, and enhanced local capacity for long-term cultural safeguarding. A key outcome was the development of a Community-Based Safeguarding Framework, integrating participatory ethnography, digital archiving, and community empowerment into a sustainable model.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital capacity of the Purwabakti Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Avatar technology, social media management optimization, and the development of a digital tourism website. The program applied a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of five stages: socialization and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), digital content creation training, technology implementation, continuous mentoring, and program evaluation. The activity involved 20 Pokdarwis members using a learning approach consisting of 30% theoretical explanation and 70% practical activities. The results demonstrated improved partner capabilities in managing digital tourism promotion, indicated by an 894% increase in Instagram reach, 40.6 thousand content views, 941 interactions, and a 575% increase in tourist visits. Furthermore, the program successfully developed an integrated tourism information platform and established an independent digital management team. These findings indicate that the combination of appropriate technology adoption and continuous mentoring can strengthen community capacity and support sustainable digital transformation in rural tourism development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of E-Commerce, QRIS, and Online Loans on the Hedonistic Behavior of Generation Z, with Financial Literacy as a moderating variable among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at universities in Mataram City. This quantitative study used purposive sampling. The population consisted of 9,284 active students registered in the Higher Education Database (PDDikti) for the 2025/2026 academic year, with 385 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0.9.9. The findings show that E-Commerce and QRIS do not have a significant effect on Hedonistic Behavior, while Online Loans have a positive and significant effect. Financial Literacy weakens the relationship between E-Commerce and Hedonistic Behavior, indicating that higher financial literacy reduces the influence of e-commerce on hedonistic tendencies. However, Financial Literacy does not moderate the relationship between QRIS and Hedonistic Behavior or between Online Loans and Hedonistic Behavior

Abstract

Empowering women through strengthening entrepreneurial skills is a crucial strategy for improving family welfare. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of financial management and home business innovation training in improving the entrepreneurial skills of Tulip Family Welfare Movement (PKK) members in Sukamaju Village, Cilodong District, Depok City. The study employed a mixed methods approach, with quantitative methods as the primary approach, complemented by qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained through pre-test and post-test questionnaires with 50 respondents, while qualitative data were collected through interviews and observations. The analysis showed a significant improvement in participants' entrepreneurial skills after the training. The average total score increased from 42.5 (65.38%) in the pre-test to 64.8 (99.69%) in the post-test. Qualitative findings supported these results, with participants demonstrating changes in attitude, increased self-confidence, and increased ability to manage finances and develop business innovations. Thus, the training was found to be effective in improving the entrepreneurial skills of PKK members.

Abstract

Anaemia and stunting remain significant health issues in Bogor City. Lack of nutritional knowledge and minimal utilisation of local foods such as beetroot are contributing factors that can be addressed through community education. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Dasa Wisma cadres in Rangga Mekar-Bogor Village in processing beetroot as a preventive measure against anaemia and stunting. The activity methods include socialisation, education on anaemia and stunting, demonstrations on beetroot-based food processing, mentoring, and evaluation through pre-post tests. The results showed an increase in cadres' knowledge of more than 50% and their ability to produce various nutritious and economically valuable beetroot products. This is in line with the solutions to the priority problems identified. This activity can improve family food security and increase the economic welfare of families. In conclusion, this activity is effective in increasing the capacity of cadres as agents of change in efforts to prevent anaemia and stunting in the community.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve electrical safety literacy among older adults through education on lightning risk and household grounding systems. The program used a participatory educational method consisting of partner needs identification, preparation of learning materials and instruments, pre-test, visual education, grounding system explanation, interactive discussion, post-test, and follow-up reflection. The materials covered misconceptions about smartphones and lightning, the function of grounding, household electrical safety, circuit breakers, and safe actions during thunderstorms. Evaluation was conducted using five indicators. The results showed improvements across all indicators: understanding of lightning misconceptions increased from 40% to 90%, grounding function from 35% to 88%, electrical safety from 50% to 92%, actions during lightning from 45% to 85%, and household installation understanding from 30% to 80%. The average increase reached 47%. These results indicate that simple, visual, and contextual education can improve older adults' understanding of grounding and lightning safety. The program supports community-based electrical safety literacy and encourages families to check household electrical installations with qualified technicians.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation strategy of the Pangling Program in reducing stunting prevalence and identify the factors influencing its effectiveness. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using document analysis of the Final Report of the Pandeglang Regency Flagship Program (2025–2030), supported by relevant policy documents and scientific literature. Data were analyzed using the policy implementation model of George C. Edward III, complemented by the Urgency, Seriousness, and Growth (USG) method to determine priority issues. The findings indicate that the Pangling Program has contributed to reducing stunting prevalence through multisectoral collaboration involving local government agencies, health facilities, village governments, and the Regional Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team. The novelty of this study lies in integrating Edward III's implementation framework with the USG method to formulate strategic priorities for strengthening regional stunting policies.
