Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying group counseling to increase students' interest in reading. This research is a quantitative approach. The method used is quasi-experimental. This research was conducted at SMPN 12 Kota Kupang with a period of ± 3 months. The population of this study was 160 people using the purposive sampling technique, so that a total sample of 5 people was obtained. The results of this study obtained a score of 1 person with a score of 72 and 4 others with a score of 70 which are in the active category. Based on the calculation results, it was found that 5 students were very active in the group counseling process. All students involved are in the active category with a score range of 60-73. There is an influence of the application of group counseling to increase students' reading interest in class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Kota Kupang where the posttest score is higher than the pretest score. This means that the group counseling process can increase students' interest in reading.

Abstract

Burnout is one of the symptoms of saturation that occurs in a person caused by there internal and external influences are influences that originated from and within his own self, while external influences are influences caused by other people and the surrounding environment. Internal factors also occur in class X high school students in Negeri 6 City The purpose of this study was to determine the shape of the aspects of learning burnout during the covid 19 pandemic for class X students at SMA Negeri 6 Kota Kupang. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research methods. The population in this study were the students of class X in SMA Negeri 6 Kupang and a sample of 42 students was taken from the sampling technique. The data collection method used is the burnout questionnaire instrument which consisted of 58 items. The validity of the learning burnout scale during the pandemic covid 19 is declared valid by reliability (931). The data analysis technique used is Product Momen Correlation Analysis by using the SPSS Version 16.0 program. For data analysis, used the percentage descriptive analysis technique.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Description of the Satisfaction of Receiving Counseling Services, (2) An Overview of Discipline Students, (3) The Relationship between Satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Atambua with a sample of 78 students using stratified random technique. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the help of SPSS for Windows 22.00 Version. The results showed that 60 students (76.92%) of SMP Negeri 2 Atambua were satisfied with obtaining counseling services, and 57 students (73.07%) were disciplined in obeying school rules. There is a positive relationship between satisfaction with obtaining counseling services and discipline in obeying school rules with an rxy value of 0.343. The results of the correlation significance test show that there is a positive relationship with the value of r count > r table, namely 0.343 > 0.2227. Therefore, students have satisfaction such as obeying the rules that apply at school and the ability to show attitudes, behavior at school

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) a description of learning burnout, (2) a description of displacement behavior, (3) the relationship between learning burnout and displacement behavior in BK FKIP Undana students. This research uses a quantitative approach. The population is students, amounting to 483 students. The sampling technique used proportional stratified random sampling so that a sample of 80 students. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. Data analysis, namely descriptive and correlation analysis techniques with the help of the SPSS version 26 program. The results of this study include: (1) a picture of burnout learning for BK FKIP Undana students, very high category of 1 student (1.25%), high category of 43 people students (53.75%), low category as many as 33 students (41.25%), very low category as many as 3 students (3.75%). (2) description of displacement behavior in BK FKIP Undana students, very high category of 1 student (1.25%), high category of 54 students (67.5%), low category of 25 students (31.25%) ), very low category of 0 students (0%). (3) there is a relationship between learning burnout and displacement behavior in BK FKIP Undana students, where r value is 0.404 > r table with a significance of 0.05 = 0.219.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) a description of people's attention, (2) a description of student attendance discipline (3) the relationship between parental attention and student attendance discipline at SMA Negeri 2 Amarasi. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The sampling technique was through Proportional Random Sampling with a total sample of 79 students. The data collection technique is the Parental Attention Questionnaire and the Student Attendance Discipline Questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis techniques and correlation analysis. The research results show that (1). Description of Parental Attention to SMA Negeri 2 Amarasi students belonging to the low category, if the low and very low categories are combined it becomes 60 students with a percentage of 76.0%. (2). Discipline of Student Attendance at SMA Negeri 2 Amarasi belongs to the low category, if the low and very low categories are combined it becomes 64 students with a percentage of 81.0%. (3) it is known that there is a significant relationship between the Parental Attention Relationship and Student Attendance Discipline of r-hit = 0.676 with a significance value of (sig) 0.000 < r-table (0.05) = 0.227. Thus it can be said that there is a correlation because rcount ≥ rtable, namely 0.676 ≥ 0.227. For this reason, there is a significant relationship between parental attention and student attendance discipline at SMA Negeri 2 Amarasi

Abstract

Body shaming is a negative comment on a person's body shape, the impact caused by body shaming behavior is one of them on the victim of body shaming who is greatly harmed, resulting in self-blaming. It is important to have interventions for victims who feel self-blaming, so that they continue to grow in accordance with their developmental tasks optimally. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the reality counseling metaphor technique in reducing students' self-blaming as a result of being victims of body shaming. The research method uses the Systematic Literature Review. stematic Literature Review consists of several stages, namely formulating questions, searching for literature, establishing criteria, selecting literature, presenting data, processing data and drawing conclusions. The data obtained related to keywords is 19 articles. The articles were selected based on criteria close to the researchers' objectives, namely into 5 articles taken from 2015-2020. The results of this study based on previous literature reveal that the metaphorical technique using the reality counseling approach is effective for reducing students' self-blaming against victims of body shaming.

Abstract

The use of facebook and nomophobia has a very negative impact on students. This study aims to determine the description of the intensity of Facebook use with the nomophobia tendency of students, and whether there is a relationship between the intensity of facebook use and the nomophobia tendency of BK Undana students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of correlation descriptive research. This research was carried out at the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of FKIP Nusa Cendana University Kupang with a total population of 209 people and a sample of 70 people. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling method or respondents who have the characteristics of the same criteria. The data collection technique uses a likert scale questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the help of the SPPS for Windows 26.00 Version program. The results showed that (I) In general, students using Facebook are in an intermediate presentation, namely 43% for the low category in using Facebook (II) Based on the results of data analysis, the nomophobia tendency of students of the FKIP guidance and counseling study program at Nusa Cendana University is in the low category in the nomophobia tendency with a presentation of 44%. Person product moment correlation analysis shows that between the intensity of facebook use and the tendency to nomophobia has a positive directional relationship shown with an r value of 0.452 The results of the correlation significance test, showed that there was a significant relationship between the intensity of facebook use and the nomophobia tendency of students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program FKIP Nusa Cendana Kupang University as evidenced by the r-count value > r table (0.452 >0.273). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a relationship between the intensity of Facebook use and the nomophobia tendency of BK Undana students. The higher the intensity of facebook use, the higher the tendency to nomophobia, on the contrary, the lower the intensity of facebook use, the nomophobia tendency of BK Undana students is also lower.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of counseling teacher home visits in dealing with student delinquency and the factors that influence the implementation of home visits for counseling teachers in overcoming student delinquency at Tumu State Junior High School, Amanuban Tengah District. South Central Timor. This type of research is phenomenalogy with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research is guidance counseling teachers while the object of this research is the implementation of home visits in overcoming student delinquency. The informants in this study were guidance counseling teachers, totaling 2 people. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used was narrative. The results showed that: the implementation of home visits for Counseling Teachers in overcoming student delinquency at Tumu State Junior High School, Central Amanuban District, South Central Timor Regency was carried out by 2 counseling guidance teachers. each counseling guidance teacher prepares everything needed to carry out home visits starting from planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up. Home visiting activities carried out must also be carried out in collaboration with other school parties such as: Principals, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and so on.

Abstract

The addictive behavior of playing online games experienced by students has a negative impact on students, often students do not attend lectures because the time they spend is only playing online games all day long. The purpose of this study was to find out whether or not there was an effect of using self-control techniques in group counseling to overcome addiction to playing online games.This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research (Quasi Experimental), with a research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest. The population of the study was 210 people, the sampling in this study used purposive sampling, namely 7 students with high addiction scores. The collection uses a questionnaire and documentation. Research results: (1) Before participating in group counseling services with self-control techniques, addiction to playing online games is in the very high and high categories with a percentage of 1% and 9%, (2) After participating in group counseling services with self-control techniques, the score for addiction to play is online games decreased in the middle category (3) Students were able to carry out the steps of self-control techniques, (4) t-test values ​​tcount and ttable 12,182> 1,943, meaning that there was a difference in scores between before and after the implementation of group counseling with self-control techniques, (5 ) there is an effect of group counseling with self-control techniques on addiction to playing online games by 73.9%, while some 26.1% are thought to be influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The objectives of the present study is to describe the forms of procrastination behavior, the causes of procrastination behavior, and the impact of procrastination behavior on the completion of students' final studies. The researcher applied a qualitative research approach and employed a case study design. The criteria for selecting research subjects included: 1) mastering and understanding the research theme; in this case, students at the Anjungan Jayawijaya dormitory with procrastination behavior towards the completion of their final studies consisting of class 216, 2017 and aged 26, 27 and 29 years. Based on the results of the research, procrastination towards the completion of final studies is generally caused by students' laziness, other activities such as organization and hanging out with friends, and the tendency to play games irresponsibly. Contributing factors include a lack of time management in doing assignments, the priority is focused on earning money for college due to a lack of financial support from parents in supporting education, a lack of self-discipline, a lack of time management, a lack of self-awareness, the influence of involvement in an organization, addiction to playing social media Facebook and the lack of food supply in the dormitory, and the influence of the organization on the subject's personality. The impact of procrastination behavior on the completion of final studies leads to oneself and the environment. The impact on the subject includes shame, anxiety, despair, stress, inferiority, regret, pessimism, loss of appetite, insomnia, loss of enthusiasm for college, low grades.
