Abstract

Mothers with dual roles or with the term working mother and also in college generally have greater responsibilities compared to mothers who do not work. Therefore, the chances of working and studying mothers to feel tired both physically and emotionally will be much greater. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how emotional regulation in mothers works and also lectures where there is a conflict between work outside the home, college assignments and household work conflicts, namely caring for early childhood and factors that affect emotional regulation This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design. Participants in this study were selected based on a purposive approach with certain criteria, namely working mothers, studying at STAI AL-Musaddadiyah Garut and also having early childhood. Data collection was carried out by interviewing participants and then the data was processed. The results showed that the participants were able to bring up aspects of emotion regulation, including aspects of situation selection, situation modification, attention deployment, cognitive change and response modulation. And factors in the regulation of emotions include gender, age and environment. Keywords: Emotion Regulation, Working Mothers, Early Childhood Parenting.

Abstract

This research is motivated by observational data that shows the low achievement of writing skills in early childhood at Al Waladul Huda Kindergarten with the discovery of several problems including; writing skills in group A are still lacking, children have not been able to make a meaningful scribble, children have not been able to write letters from A-Z. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of Smart Wheel media to improve writing skills in children aged 4-5 years. The subjects in this study were 10 respondents with 6 male subjects and 4 female subjects. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with a classroom action research design or PTK. The results of this study indicate that the use of Smart Wheel media to improve writing skills in children aged 4-5 years shows a significant increase, can be seen from the percentage of success, from the results of initial observations there are 0% of children developing very well, 0% of children developing according to expectations, 40% of children starting to develop and 60% of children have not developed. After implementing the use of Smart Wheel media to improve writing skills in children aged 4-5 years, the final results of cycle I reached a 60% increase in writing skills in children aged 4-5 years, and the final results of cycle II reached 100%. Abstract

This research is motivated by an initial observation conducted on October 11, 2024, at PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan, located in Kp. Babakan RT 02 RW 08, Rancasalak Village, Kadungora District, Garut Regency. Based on the observation results, it was found that extracurricular activities were conducted in the form of performances or activities that required a significant amount of funding. This phenomenon indicates the need for a more in-depth study regarding the implementation of extracurricular activities that align with the operational theory at the PAUD level. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of extracurricular activities at PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan and the obstacles and challenges faced by PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan in implementing these activities. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects consisting of the school principal and teachers of PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan in Kadungora District. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the implementation of extracurricular activities is structured and in accordance with the Guidelines for Developing the Pancasila Student Profile Project. Thus, these extracurricular activities can be carried out in a structured manner. The implementation of extracurricular activities at Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan Early Childhood Education is already in accordance with the established regulations. The implementation of extracurricular activities at Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan Early Childhood Education has been carefully regulated and follows the applicable guidelines.  Keywords: Co-Curricular Activities;  Implementation; Early childhood

Abstract

This research is motivated by preliminary observations conducted on October 11, 2024, at PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan, Rancasalak Village, Kadungora District, Garut Regency. The Intracurricular Program includes learning activities related to subjects. Every implementation of this activity is mandatory for students with different abilities according to existing provisions to enhance basic competencies that students must possess, carried out continuously every day according to a scheduled activity plan. The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of Intracurricular Activities at PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan and the obstacles in implementing them. This research uses a qualitative and descriptive approach that describes events faced and currently occurring. The subjects of this research are all students at PAUD Al-Islam Riyadhul Irfan. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. ntracurricular activities are implemented through several steps, starting with developing Learning Outcomes (CP) into Learning Objectives (TP), resulting in a series of systematically and logically arranged Learning Objectives. Abstract

This study was motivated by the issue of insufficient stimulation of naturalistic intelligence among children aged 4–5 years at Kober Majasari 1 Cibiuk. The purpose of this research was to enhance the naturalistic intelligence of children aged 4–5 years at Kober Majasari 1 Cibiuk through art activities using “stamp painting” with natural materials. This study employed a classroom action research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles. Each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were 2 teachers and 13 students, consisting of 8 boys and 5 girls. The results showed that natural-material-based “stamp painting” activities were able to stimulate children’s naturalistic intelligence, as indicated by improvements in their ability to recognize, understand, and interact with their surrounding environment. This was reflected in a success rate of 46%. In the second meeting of Cycle I, children’s naturalistic intelligence increased by 15%, reaching a success rate of 61%. In the first meeting of Cycle II, naturalistic intelligence showed a greater improvement of 24%, reaching 85%. In the second meeting of Cycle II, naturalistic intelligence increased by a further 7%, rising from 85% to 93%. This study is expected to contribute to the development of art-based learning in early childhood education, particularly in stimulating children’s naturalistic intelligence.  Keywords: Stamp Painting, Naturalistic Intelligence, Early Childhood

Abstract

Based on field observations at KB Ar-Roja, several issues were found related to the development of children's social-emotional skills. One of the problems is the lack of children's attitudes in respecting the rights/opinions/creations of others, and their difficulty in expressing emotions appropriately according to the situation (such as happiness, sadness, or enthusiasm). This research aims to improve the social-emotional abilities of children aged 5–6 years at KB Ar-Roja. One of the inhibiting factors in children's social-emotional development is the monotonous learning activities that are mainly focused on worksheets. The objectives of this research are: to describe the social-emotional abilities of children at KB Ar-Roja; to describe the implementation of the traditional game Galah Asin to enhance young children's social-emotional development; and to describe the improvement in social-emotional skills through the traditional game Galah Asin. This research uses a qualitative approach with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The research subjects are class B students at KB Ar-Roja, consisting of 12 children—6 boys and 6 girls. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the observations made by the researcher, before the intervention, the percentage of children showing expected social-emotional development was 16%. After the first intervention cycle, it increased to 58%, and in the second cycle, it rose again to 100%, meeting the criteria of “developing as expected” and “developing very well.” Keywords: social-emotional, Galah Asin

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the subjective well-being levels of kindergarten teachers in Limbangan District and to identify the most dominant component and the most influential factor affecting their well-being. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with purposive sampling, involving 60 kindergarten teachers in Limbangan District. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring three main components of subjective well-being: life satisfaction, positive affect, and negative affect, followed by the calculation of subjective well-being scores. The subjects of this study were kindergarten teachers teaching at schools within Limbangan District, totaling 60 participants. The results indicate that the majority of kindergarten teachers in Limbangan District have high to very high levels of subjective well-being (80% of total participants). The most dominant component is life satisfaction, while the most influential factor is income.  Keywords: subjective well-being; kindergarten teacher; cognitive

Abstract

In my research, it has been proven that the logical thinking ability of early childhood children in Azalia Kindergarten, Cisurupan District, is relatively low. This can be seen from the lack of concentration of children in understanding the concept of logical thinking. Therefore, I want to improve the logical thinking ability in Azalia Kindergarten. The obstacle faced is the lack of Educational Game Tools (APE), which causes the learning process to be monotonous. Furthermore, as a researcher, I will go directly to the field to better understand how to implement effective learning for children aged 4-5 years. Initial observations will be conducted on Wednesday, February 20, 2025, to assess the logical abilities of children in Azalia Kindergarten, Cisurupan District. In daily activities at school, we only provide naku for writing and similar activities. I will use the Kemmis method in this study, with eight participants, consisting of four girls and four boys.  Keywords Logical thinking Early childhood Media gardening activities
