Abstract

This study aims to analyze vegetable marketing risks at the intermediary trader level in Modoinding District. The method used is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), using a quantitative approach with 10 purposively selected traders. Risks were assessed based on Severity, Occurrence, and Detection, and calculated into RPN and RSV scores. The results show that capital risk is the most critical (average RPN 9.9), followed by price risk (RPN 8.1). Product quality and physical damage risks had lower RPN values. This study recommends improving capital access, training in risk management, and enhancing distribution infrastructure.

Abstract

Per capita household consumption is an important indicator for assessing community welfare because it reflects the ability to meet basic needs. The higher the per capita consumption, the greater the purchasing power of the community, which indicates economic growth and improved quality of life. This consumption is closely related to per capita income, where an increase in income is believed to drive consumption. This study analyzes the impact of per capita income on per capita household consumption in North Sulawesi Province using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2015 to 2024. The method used is simple linear regression with a quantitative approach, conducted from April to July 2025. The results of the study show a positive and significant relationship between per capita income and per capita household consumption. This means that the higher the income, the greater the household consumption. However, even without income, households still have basic consumption for essential needs. Overall, this research model is able to explain the relationship between the two variables with a high degree of accuracy, so the results can be trusted as a true reflection of the conditions on the ground.

Abstract

Patchouli oil is an essential oil obtained by distillation which will produce oil. This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of patchouli oil refining business in Tompasobaru Dua Village, Tompasobaru District, South Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted from April 2023 to June 2023. Data collection techniques were through direct interviews with business owners. The data analysis used is the criterion of investment feasibility analysis by calculating Net present value (NPV), Internal rate of return (IRR), Net benefit cost ratio (Net B/C Ratio), Payback period (PP). From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the patchouli oil refinery business in Tompasobaru Dua Village, Tompasobaru District, South Minahasa Regency is financially profitable and feasible to run. This patchouli oil refining business has met the business feasibility criteria based on the Net Present Value (NPV) which has a positive value of Rp.34,462,573, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) value is greater than the interest rate which is 8.42%, the Net Benefit Cost value The ratio (Net B/C) of 1.381814461 is greater than 1 and the Payback Period (PP) value is very short compared to the maximum payback period which is 2 months.

Abstract

This study aims to calculate and analyze the profits of the white meat business run by Mr. “F” in Tontalete Village, Kema District, North Minahasa Regency. This business uses white meat as its main product and coconut shells and husks as by-products. The main challenges faced include the absence of proper financial record-keeping and management, fluctuations in raw material prices, and labor costs and unforeseen expenses that may affect the smooth operation of the business. The research method employed is a case study with data collection conducted in March 2025. The data collected includes primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data from various literature and relevant institutions. The analysis used was a profit analysis and Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) to assess the feasibility of the business. The research results showed that the total revenue of the business in March 2025 reached Rp718,644,760, with total costs of Rp597,410,026, resulting in a profit of Rp121,234,734. The R/C Ratio value of 1.2 indicates that every Rp1.0 spent generates Rp1.2 in revenue. Therefore, it can be concluded that the white coconut meat business operated by Mr. “F” is viable and worth developing as it can generate significant profits. However, better cost management and systematic financial record-keeping are necessary to ensure the business continues to grow and contribute to job creation for the local community.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) has become one of the main food crops in Indonesia. Rice productivity plays an important role for the supply of the community on a national scale. The application of NPK fertilizer can be a solution. The objective of this study was to determine the response of NPK compound fertilizer “Compaction DGW” on rice yield. The experimental was design using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) that consisted of 3 treatments and 3 replications, on 2,5 m x 4 m (10 m2) plot. The NPK compound fertilizer used for this study was “Compaction DGW”. The treatments included K0 (control), A2B1 (200kg of NPK fertilizer + fertilizer grain size > 1 mm), and A2B2 (200 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + fertilizer grain size < 1 mm). The variable observed was the production of dry grain. The results showed that the application of NPK compound fertilizer “Compaction DGW” with grain size >1mm and <1mm had no significant effect on increasing the dry grain weight. However, NPK compound fertilizer “Compaction DGW” produced higher dry grain weight compared to the control.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the availability status of N, P, and K nutrients in tomato-planted land, which serves as the basis for fertilizer recommendations for tomato crops. The research was carried out over 8 months. The tools used included shovels and laboratory equipment for soil analysis. The materials used were dryland soil and chemical reagents according to the methods of soil analysis for N, P, and K. The research method employed a survey approach with composite soil sampling at 6 locations, adjusted to the actual soil conditions in the field. Condition 1: Soil that had been prepared and was ready for planting. Condition 2: Soil planted with tomatoes aged 1 month. Condition 3: Soil that had just been harvested, with tomato plants aged 3 months. From each soil condition, 3 soil samples were taken, resulting in a total of 9 samples. The research duration was 8 months, from preparation to the final report. Soil samples collected in the field were analyzed in the laboratory to obtain quantitative results. Nitrogen content was analyzed using the Kjeldahl method; available Phosphorus content was analyzed using the Bray I method; available Potassium content was analyzed using the Bray I method. The data obtained from soil analysis showed that Nitrogen levels were classified as moderate, available Phosphorus levels were moderate, and Potassium was sufficiently available for plant needs.

Abstract

Smallholder plantations are of great importance to commodity production and the macroeconomy in Indonesia. However, data shows a downward trend in the area and production of smallholder plantations in recent years. This is contrary to both the increasing global demand for smallholder plantation commodities and their value in the “green revolution” search for alternative energy sources to replace fossil fuels. This study aims to evaluate the production and area of smallholder plantations. There are two main questions regarding the future of smallholder plantation production that need to be answered: (1) What is the production projection for the coming years? and (2) What factors can predict crop production by smallholder plantations? Based on these two questions, the objectives of this study are formulated as follows: (1) To project smallholder plantation production in Indonesia in the coming years (2) To identify factors that can predict smallholder plantation crop production in Indonesia. The research data source is a tabulation published online by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Statistical analysis involves determining the distribution curve and regression modeling.
