Abstract

This service was carried out with the title IPR Counseling in a Human Rights Perspective in the East Arso District, Keerom Regency. This activity was carried out because the partners did not understand IPR from a human rights perspective in order to guarantee legal certainty, so that with the expertise possessed by the service team, they could carry out legal counseling in a manner The aim is to provide a link between IPR and Human Rights as well as legal protection for creative works in the fields of science, arts and literature or capabilities in the field of technology, creative works or inventions. The method of implementing this service is carried out by means of legal education through lectures and discussions which were held on Thursday, November 23 2023, which was held in East Arso District, Keerom Regency. This activity begins with preparation and coordination, then presentation of material by providing knowledge to partners regarding the relationship between IPR and Human Rights as well as legal protection for creative works in the fields of science, art and literature or capabilities in the field of technology, copyrighted works or inventions. The output of this service is to provide understanding and knowledge to partners about the relationship between IPR and Human Rights as well as legal protection for someone's creative work and Intellectual Property Rights are rights that originate from the results of creative activities, the ability of human thought which is expressed to the general public in various ways. form, which has benefits and is useful in supporting human life. Apart from that, it also has economic value which is a real form of the ability of intellectual work, which can be in the fields of science, arts and literature as well as in the field of technology.

Abstract

This research reviews the role and effectiveness of the "Read Together at UPI" reading community in increasing reading interest and literacy among Indonesian University of Education (UPI) students. In the developing digital era, where interest in reading is often eroded by technological advances, the existence of a reading community is becoming increasingly important to strengthen literacy culture. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this research evaluates participants' perceptions, responses and suggestions for the reading community. The results showed that the majority of participants responded positively to the community, with high levels of support and a significant increase in interest in reading. Although there were variations in participants' perceptions and experiences, participation in the activities was considered a rewarding and motivating experience. Apart from that, this research also discusses the potential of the 'Read Together at UPI' reading community in increasing student literacy, as well as providing suggestions for increasing its effectiveness and positive impact. Thus, this research provides valuable insight for the development of literacy programs in higher education environments, confirming the important role of reading communities in strengthening interest in reading and literacy in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training in writing poetry properly and correctly. The activity was attended by 21 junior high school students in West Java. The activity was carried out online from January to February 2021. The activity method used lecture and practice methods. Students were given reading materials and invited to see directly some natural atmospheres and understand poetry writing. The results of the activity produced poetry and several short stories that will be published as a collection of poetry books with the theme of life and nature.

Abstract

Self Management Education using leaflet media at the Cimacan Regional Hospital, Cianjur Regency. Hypertension is a disease called the "silent killer" with complications from stroke, heart and kidney disease. This research aims to determine leaflets in increasing self-efficacy in hypertensive patients. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design involving 86 patients undergoing outpatient treatment at the Cimacan Regional Hospital, Cianjur Regency. The research results showed that the average self-efficacy value of respondents before being given the intervention in the intervention group was 5.8 with a standard deviation of 4.638, while the average value after being given the intervention was 9.89 with a standard deviation of 1.526. Meanwhile, the average value after being given intervention in the control group was 7.00 with a standard deviation of 3.058. The results of further analysis using the Wilcoxon Test obtained a p-value of <0.05. In conclusion, there was an increase in hypertension sufferers after the leaflet.

Abstract

The research that was prepared aims to discuss the implementation of correspondence management in administration at Sejahtera private SD schools, where this correspondence management can help educational staff manage all problems related to school administration. Correspondence management is an important element in school administration, playing a role in work efficiency, information security and accountability. This research discusses the implementation of correspondence management in schools, analyzing the practices implemented, the challenges faced, and strategies that can be taken to increase the effectiveness of the correspondence system. By using this research method, a descriptive qualitative research method is used through a literature review approach using book and journal reviews which are then analyzed and concluded from the research cited. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to schools in improving the effectiveness of correspondence management and creating a more orderly, efficient and transparent school administration.

Abstract

Banjir telah menjadi permasalahan umum di Indonesia. Selain curah hujan yang tinggi, ketinggian daratan dan jenis tanah juga mempengaruhi terjadinya bencana alam ini. Hal ini diperparah dengan penyumbatan saluran air sehingga air mudah meluap ke pemukiman masyarakat. Sebagai penanggulangan bencana tersebut, Tim Kukerta UNRI 2024 melakukan pengabdian melalui kegiatan revitalisasi parit Karang Anyer sebagai salah satu saluran air terbesar di kepenghuluan Bagan Punak Meranti yang terhubung langsung dengan Sungai Rokan. Revitalisasi ini diberlakukan pada 21 Juli 2024 yang dibersamai oleh perangkat Kepenghuluan Bagan Punak Meranti, kelompok masyarakat dan tim satgas Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian tersebut merupakan bertahap, yang berawal dari perencanaan untuk menyusun agenda kegiatan, persiapan yang diisi dengan wawancara ke perangkat kepenghuluaan, sampai pelaksanaan revitalisasi yang dilakukan bersama. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memfungsikan kembali parit Karang Anyer agar air tidak meluap ke pemukiman masyarakat, sehingga banjir yang sering terjadi di Kepenghuluan dapat dicegah. Hasil dari revitalisasi tersebut memberikan umpan balik yang positif dari warga, dan tentunya arus air dalam parit berjalan kembali dengan normal.

Abstract

Literasi investasi merupakan kemampuan untuk memahami dan secara efektif menggunakan keterampilan untuk mengelola keuangan. Literasi investasi yang dilakukan secara massif pada sektor pasar modal, akan memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap perekonomian nasional. Tujuan dari pengembangan mitra binaan adalah untuk dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat dan pelaku usaha di Desa Anyer agar memiliki sumber dana yang cukup untuk persiapan di masa mendatang serta mengembangkan sikap masyarakat kearah terciptanya masyarakat yang melek investasi di pasar modal. Dari hasil kegiatan pengembangan mitra binaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa target yang di harapkan serta diinginkan dari kegiatan berupa literasi berinvestasi pasar modal kepada investor pemula, sebagian besar sudah dapat diterima dengan baik serta kegiatan pengembangan mitra binaan yang telah dilakukan, hasilnya sangat diapresiasi oleh masyarakat dan pelaku usaha di Desa Anyer.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kolaboratif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara pada materi teks deskriptif bahasa Inggris untuk siswa SMP di kawasan Teluk Tomini. Melalui serangkaian kegiatan yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal, seperti pengenalan konsep, dan aktivitas kelompok, metode ini berhasil menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dan kontekstual. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan tidak hanya dalam kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa, tetapi juga dalam rasa percaya diri dan motivasi belajar mereka. Siswa mampu menghasilkan teks deskriptif yang lebih kaya dan terperinci, dengan penggunaan kosakata yang tepat dan struktur kalimat yang lebih kompleks. Lebih dari itu, pendekatan ini berhasil menjembatani kesenjangan antara pembelajaran bahasa asing dan identitas lokal siswa, membuka jalan bagi pengembangan metode pengajaran bahasa yang lebih efektif dan relevan di masa depan.

Abstract

Management of household waste, especially organic waste and used cooking oil, is one of the environmental challenges faced by many villages in Indonesia. Organic waste that is not managed properly has the potential to pollute the environment, attract pests and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Apart from that, used cooking oil that is thrown away carelessly can pollute the air and soil. The article aims to discuss the implementation of organic waste management through biopores and training on processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles carried out by KKN students from Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in Bolon Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. This program has the potential to reduce the volume of waste, increase environmental awareness, and provide added economic value for village communities.

Abstract

1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK) merupakan fase kritis dalam tahap an pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Pada periode waktu ini nutrisi berdampak terhadap pertumbuhan anak. Selain itu stimulasi yang diterima bayi juga akan berdampak  jangka panjang terhadap kehidupan bayi sampai dewasa. Ketika bayi berusia 6-12 bulan, bayi diperkenalkan dengan makanan pendamping ASI (MP-ASI). Jika terjadi kegagalan saat pemberian makanan pada bayi usia ini akan berdampak terhadap pertumbuhan bayi pada tahapan selanjutnya. Indikator dari penentuan status gizi bayi adalah berat. Berat badan bayi dipengaruhi oleh asupan gizi sebagai factor internal dan stimulasi sebagai factor esternal. Stimulasi memiliki peran dalam peningkatan hormon pertumbuhan. Stimulasi yang dapat diberikan salah satunya adalah pijat bayi yang dapat meningkatkan kerja hormon yang menyebabkan nutrisi terserap dengan baik sehingga tercapai pertumbuhan bayi yang optimal.  Penelitian yang telah dilakukan mendapatkan bahwa baby massage berpengauh terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi usia 0-6 bulan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 0-6 bulan dalam melakukan pijat bayi.
