Abstract

Understanding and determining fold symmetry is a competency that is difficult for students to achieve, either because the learning does not attract student enthusiasm or the students themselves do not have the motivation to learn about fold symmetry. In connection with this, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing student learning outcomes on folded symmetry material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research is a type of research that uses quantitative descriptive methods with an approach in the form of a classroom action approach. The source of this research comes from SD Negri 079 Pajagalan and the subjects in this research are class III students at SD Negri 079 Pajagalan. The technique for collecting data on student learning outcomes is carried out through tests in the form of test questions from evaluations and student worksheets. Then the data obtained was analyzed descriptively. Research that has been conducted shows that the difficulties experienced by students actually come from the questions given not being in accordance with the students' cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Mathematics is a branch of science that is very useful in social life. Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies relationships including lengths and angles in triangles. Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that will only be taught to high school/vocational school level students, so for students trigonometry is a new and abstract subject so it is difficult to understand. This research aims to enable students to overcome difficulties and obstacles to student learning in learning trigonometry using this teaching aid. This research method uses the library research method. The use of teaching aids in mathematics learning is very important and much needed for vocational high school students. PAPI GO! learning media can be a support or support in mathematics learning which can increase students' learning motivation in trigonometry material.

Abstract

Roads are infrastructure created as a facility for transportation activities to get to the place you want to go. Road damage has a significant impact on health, economy, safety and comfort. From the results of direct interviews, it was found that the impact of this road dredging was quite detrimental to the surrounding community but also brought a few benefits. damage that occurred along the Transportation Road, Tembung, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency has not been paid attention to by the local government for a long time. The research results show that damage to transportation roads has caused various negative impacts on society. Mobility is hampered, causing increased travel time and transportation costs. Apart from that, traffic accidents are also increasing due to poor road conditions, threatening the safety of road users and even causing casualties. Road damage ultimately also affects the economy of the surrounding community. This journal uses qualitative research methods. Qualitative research method is a research method based on post-psychivism or interpretive philosophy, used to research the conditions of natural objects, where the researcher is the key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out by triangulation (a combination of observation, interviews, documentation).

Abstract

Developing scientific literacy in students is the main objective of any reform in science education. Scientific literacy is one of the most significant competencies of the 21st century. One problem with science education in Indonesia is that students fail to give enough attention to the knowledge that has already been taught, which results in a lack of scientific comprehension. By observing how the student responded to the student's collaboration abilities during their chemical studies from the viewpoint of the chemical literacy teacher, the study was trying to figure out how well second-year students understood chemical literacy on the level of a problem. In order to ascertain high school chemical literacy, a descriptive research design and quantitative methodology were employed in the study. The interview guides and chemical literacy questionnaires, which provide data on students' understanding of chemical literacy, are the study's instruments. Students from high schools in cities and villages, both regular and vocational, are the subjects of the study. Studies show that 39% of respondents agreed that high school students had very little understanding of the concept of chemistry. It is further supported by the opinions of a few of the chemical teachers who teach the XI class.

Abstract

This research is motivated by understanding of mathematical conceptsstill low in class V SDN 39 Mata Air Barat. This is caused bylearning that is carried out is less interesting and understanding of mathematical conceptslow students. This study aims to find out analyzeunderstanding of mathematical concepts for class V SDN 39 Mata Air Barat Padang.This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. Populationin this study were all students of class V SDN 39 Mata Air Barat. The sampling technique was carried out by means of purposive sampling, selected class V as the class being analyzed. The research instrument is in the form ofposttest by using an indicator of understanding the concept that functions formeasure the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts. The average score of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the sample classis 96 with a maximum value of 100 and a minimum value of 88 and a standard deviation3,7

Abstract

The issue of ozone depletion and surface global warming due to synthetic refrigerants has prompted educational laboratories employing cooling machines to seek environmentally friendly alternative refrigerants. Retrofitting involves replacing refrigerants (consumable substances serving as working fluids) with environmentally friendly alternatives. Refrigerators are essential household appliances that have a significant environmental impact. This paper addresses various aspects of environmentally friendly refrigerator design, encompassing the use of cutting-edge technology, routine maintenance, the utilization of waste heat, material recycling, and the selection of eco-friendly refrigerants. By focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable material usage, refrigerators can become more efficient and environmentally friendly. Through this comprehensive analysis, practical recommendations are emphasized for the eco-friendly use and maintenance of refrigerators.

Abstract

Analysis of Students' Insights Regarding Traditional Clothing in Indonesia and Responses Regarding The Differences With These Traditional Clothing and Current Clothing. In relation to national identity in the context of a nation related to culture, Indonesia itself is a country with a variety of ethnic and cultural diversity, where one of the varieties of Indonesian culture is traditional clothing. Traditional clothing is one of Indonesia's cultural treasures whose existence has received praise from many countries in the world. The preservation of traditional clothing needs to continue, one of which is through students as the generation of change in a nation. The aim of this research is to find out the insights of students as the spearhead of the nation's struggle regarding Indonesian traditional clothing. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by collecting data through interviews. The data was analyzed and explained descriptively. The results of the research showed that based on the 10 questions asked, respondents tended to answer not in detail and in depth, apart from that, some answers only stated "don't know" such as the respondent with the initials HD who answered three questions in a row with the answer that he didn't know. The conclusion of this research is that student respondents do not have broad insight regarding traditional clothing, so a change program is needed

Abstract

Globalisation occurs due to advances in technology and science. One of the benefits of globalisation is the easy access to information and news around the world, but not all news and information obtained is good and true source. Especially in the younger generation who use gadgets in their daily lives, making things that need to be watched out for. Because if the younger generation is accustomed to everything that happens on the internet, it will have an impact on attitudes and behaviour. This must be watched out for, because it is related to the identity and attitude of state defence embedded in the younger generation. Thus, this research was conducted to find out the extent of the impact of globalisation on the identity and attitude of state defence in the younger generation. The research was conducted using quantitative methods, with a total of 50 respondents, consisting of 28 women, 22 men and are the nation's young generation with an age range of 15-25 years. From the results of the research conducted, it is known that there are still many young people who are aware of the importance of maintaining identity and state defence.

Abstract

This research aims to create an instrument to measure critical thinking skills in algebra material for students at SMP N 1 Percut Sei Tuan, especially for class VII students. The research was carried out on October 24 2023 using the R&D (research and development) approach and the Borg & Gall model which has 10 stages, namely: data collection, planning, product draft development, design validation and revision, product refinement resulting from field trials, field trials ( large groups), product refinement, and implementation. This research produced a reliability value of 0.702 with 60 respondents and 5 questions, which states that the 5 questions were reliable. By carrying out this research, it is possible to determine students' critical thinking abilities and at the same time improve the critical thinking abilities of students at SMP N 1 Percut Sei Tuan..

Abstract

This research aims to describe the quality of the questions in terms of the validity and reliability of the four-tier diagnostic test instrument as well as identifying students' misconceptions regarding rectilinear motion material using the four-tier diagnostic test. This research is research using the Ex Post Facto method with a quantitative descriptive research type. The quality of the questions is reviewed in terms of instrument validity, namely internal validity including content, construct and language, then external validity including content and construct. The results of the analysis in this study show that the internal validity for the content, construct and language domains is 91%, 90% and 91% respectively. External validity includes content with respective false positives and false negative values ​​of 9.0% and 7.33%, then the construct aspect produces a value of 0.47. The reliability of the instrument shows that rcount = 0.420. The factors that cause misconceptions experienced by students originate from within themselves, originating from humanistic thinking with a percentage of 25.98%, then from preconceptions, associative thinking, wrong intuition and wrong reasoning with percentages of 18.38%, 15.44%, 5.88% respectively, and 5.64%.
