Abstract

Classroom management is an effort made by teachers to create and maintain classroom conditions so that they remain normal and optimal in carrying out learning so that it can continue to run effectively and efficiently. Thematic learning is integrated learning that uses themes to link several subjects so that it can provide meaningful experiences to students. The aim of this research is to describe classroom management in thematic learning. This research method is a descriptive approach with a qualitative research type. The results of this research indicate that the classroom management carried out by teachers at SDN 2 Trienggadeng Pidie Jaya has generally been carried out well and teachers have utilized the available classroom facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Globalisasi merupakan sebuah istilah yang memiliki hubungan dengan peningkatan keterkaitan dan ketergantungan antarbangsa dan antarmanusia di seluruh dunia melalui perdagangan, investasi, perjalanan, budaya populer, dan bentuk-bentuk interaksi lainnya, sehingga batasbatas suatu negara menjadi semakin sempit. Nilai-nilai Pancasila, khususnya nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam sila ketiga, yaitu "Persatuan Indonesia," menjadi sangat relevan dan penting untuk diaktualisasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penulis menggunakan metode Studi Literatur, yang didefinisikan oleh Nazir (2013) sebagai proses sistematis dalam menelusuri berbagai sumber pustaka yang relevan dengan topik penelitian untuk memperoleh informasi dan bahan yang diperlukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sila Ketiga Pancasila memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam menghadapi tantangan di era globalisasi. Dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai persatuan, Indonesia dapat menjaga identitas nasional, mengatasi tantangan ekonomi, melestarikan budaya, meningkatkan toleransi, dan memperkuat posisi politik di kancah internasional.

Abstract

Language error analysis is a working procedure to identify language use. In this digital age, humans can communicate through applications or what can be called social media. One of them is TikTok. This research was conducted on one of the Liputan 6 news uploads on TikTok. The purpose of this study is to identify the language skills of netizens in commenting. With this research, the aim is to identify language errors used by netizens to comment such as errors in spelling or errors in the use of grammatical structures. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, namely by making observations on the comments of one of the uploads and then recording the language errors found as research data that will be further examined.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out: is there an indirect influence of positive thinking abilities on students' mathematics learning achievement through student learning independence. This research is correlational research using quantitative survey methods. The research subjects were 80 students at Al Minhaj High School. This survey research is quantitative research using structured/systematic questions, then all answers obtained by researchers are recorded, processed and analyzed as well as physic scores from student report cards. Data analysis uses path analysis. The independent variable in this research is physic learning achievement, while the dependent variable is the ability to think positively and learning independence. In the description of this research data, the results of the research from the data obtained include the highest score, lowest score, mean, mode, median, range/variance, and standard deviation/standard deviation. In processing the data obtained, the researcher carried out processing with the help of Microsoft Excel 2019 and SPSS 26 applications. Before the data was analyzed, a requirements test was first carried out, namely a normality test using the Liliefors test from Kosmogorov – Smirnov and a regression significance test using analysis of variance (ANAVA). From the results of normality testing for the independent variable positive thinking ability, a significance value of p = 0.922 > 0.05 was obtained; and the independent variable learning independence obtained a significance value of p = 0.652 > 0.05; while for the dependent variable physic learning achievement, the significance value was p = 0.783 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the three samples have a normal distribution. Testing the linearity of the relationship between the positive thinking ability variable and the physic learning achievement variable obtained a significance value of p = 0.670 > 0.05; The relationship between independent learning and physic learning achievement obtained a significance value of p = 0.789 > 0.05; Meanwhile, the relationship between positive thinking ability and independence in learning physic has a significance value of p = 0.132 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the regression model is linear, meaning that there is a linear relationship between the three variables. Hypothesis testing was carried out using path analysis, then calculating the significance of the correlation using the Student's t-test. The results of the path coefficient calculation show that t-count = 2.234 > ttable = 1.980 and the p-value (significant column) is 0.327, which means > 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant direct influence of positive thinking ability on physic learning achievement; tcount = 2.144 > ttable = 1.980 and the p-value (significant column) is 0.314, which means > 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant direct influence of learning independence on physic learning achievement; tcount = 11.832 > ttable = 1.980 and the p-value (significant column) is 0.796, which means > 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant direct influence of positive thinking ability on student learning independence.

Abstract

The rapid development of communication and information technology in the digital era has brought significant changes in communication patterns and language use, including the use of slang among public figures such as Jerome Polin. This study aims to analyze the use of slang by Jerome Polin with a focus on the types of slang used, the context of its use, and its implications in public communication. The research method used is a qualitative analysis of social media content published by Jerome Polin. The research findings show that the use of slang by public figures can attract followers but also raises concerns about its influence on the development of Indonesian language and culture. The results of this study provide new insights into the phenomenon of slang use among public figures and its influence on the development of Indonesian language, which reflects the dynamics and creativity in language use in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of the discovery learning model assisted by canva media in increasing student motivation in learning to write personal letters. The research method used was a quantitative – experimental approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest which was tested twice: first before treatment (pretest) and second after treatment (posttest). The sample in this study was 35 class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Parongpong for the 2023/2024 academic year who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the research show that there is an increase in students' motivation in learning to write personal letters by applying the discovery learning model assisted by Canva media, with the average score before treatment being 59.89 and after treatment being 80.00 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the discovery learning model assisted by Canva media is effective in increasing student motivation in learning to write personal letters.

Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this research is to find out the effectiveness of civic education learning through the Discovery Learning method for vocational school students. The method used is qualitative where the data collection mechanism used is through field observations and interviews with informants, namely teachers and students. The results of this research show that the Discovery Learning learning mechanism is able to create student independence in studying citizenship education. Students better understand learning concepts by having discussions with peers. Apart from that, the success obtained from this successful learning is that students' grades increase.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate teachers' knowledge, skills and attitudes towards Citizenship Education (PKN) learning in elementary schools. By focusing on the effectiveness of PKN teaching, this research analyzes three main aspects: knowledge and mastery of PKN material, the effectiveness of teachers' skills in managing classes and implementing innovative learning methods, as well as teachers' attitudes towards the role of PKN in shaping student character. The research method used is a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Data was collected through surveys and interviews with elementary school teachers in several areas. The research results show that there are variations in teachers' knowledge, skills and attitudes towards PKN learning. Several factors such as lack of training, limited resources, and curriculum pressure influence the effectiveness of PKN teaching. The implications of these findings support the importance of increasing teacher competency and greater support from schools and the government in improving PKN learning in elementary schools. Abstract

Reading intelligence greatly affects students. The overall responsibility for developing an interest in reading in primary school children should rest with teachers at school, parents at home and students. One of the obstacles is the low interest of primary school students in reading. Because lack of interest in reading can hinder children's growth, development, and learning, it can lead to poor performance in the future. The reason for students' low interest in reading is their own reluctance to read. Teachers also do not require students to read books in class. To increase students' interest in reading in primary grades, it is necessary to maintain their interest in reading and provide them with exposure to reading materials so that they can become accustomed to reading. Having a reading habit from childhood will help develop a strong interest in reading in the future. The purpose of this study is to discuss various innovative teaching methods that can be used to increase children's interest in reading in primary schools. It is important that teachers encourage students' interest in reading in school. Research is conducted by developing research questions and searching for journal references suitable for data analysis. Google Chendikia or Google Scholar is used to search the Internet for a collection of journals. Data is studied, examined and compared with other data. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The analysis found that this could potentially increase students' interest in reading in primary schools.

Abstract

Leaders should play a supervisory role in improving the professionalism of teachers. This is because the improvement in teacher professionalism should not only depend on government efforts, but also require the teacher himself to have a strong determination to become more professional. Only in this way can the goal of national education be fulfilled. Professional teachers must have expertise in various disciplines of science, teaching resources, instructional strategies, student motivation, and have advanced capabilities and broad knowledge in the field of education. The methods in this research are qualitative descriptive methods and the type of research of phenomena occurring in the field. The location of this research is in SMAN 5 Payakrasuh. The findings are that surveillance is carried out with the aim of developing and improving teaching skills in educational institutions. Supervision enhances the professional competence of teachers, enabling them to effectively implement the learning process in the classroom. In addition, teachers can fulfil their role as professional educators by effectively carrying out their duties and responsibilities in guidance and teaching, as well as creating a learning environment that supports and promotes effective communication.
