Abstract

Penelitian tracer study ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kesesuaian kurikulum Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Negeri Gorontalo dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja serta mendeskripsikan profil lulusan periode 2021–2024. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner daring yang diisi oleh 76 alumni, mencakup aspek status pekerjaan, relevansi pendidikan, tingkat kepuasan, dan kompetensi lulusan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 90,8% alumni telah bekerja, sebagian besar di sektor formal seperti pendidikan dan administrasi, dengan relevansi tinggi antara pendidikan yang diterima dan pekerjaan. Kompetensi utama, seperti bahasa Inggris, komunikasi, dan etika profesional, dinilai baik, sementara literasi digital memerlukan peningkatan. Metode pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, seperti diskusi kelompok dan kerja lapangan, dianggap paling efektif dalam mempersiapkan lulusan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting untuk menyempurnakan kurikulum, memperkuat literasi digital, dan membuka peluang karier yang lebih beragam guna meningkatkan daya saing lulusan di pasar kerja lokal, nasional, dan global

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the early signs of a Rp 271 trillion corruption scandal at PT Timah Tbk through Earning Opacity analysis. Earning Opacity refers to the lack of clarity in financial statements that hinders external parties from comprehending the company’s financial condition transparently. In this case, financial statement manipulation is suspected to conceal illegal activities that harm various stakeholders, including investors and the public. This research employs secondary data from PT Timah Tbk's annual financial reports between 2019 and 2023. Through descriptive analysis and statistical tests, strong indications of earnings manipulation were found, such as abnormal fluctuations in revenue, operating cash flow, and Dividends Per Share (DPS). The analysis also shows a significant relationship between Earning Opacity and indications of the corruption scandal, supported by discrepancies between the company's income statement and cash flow statement. These findings emphasize the importance of transparency and accountability in financial reporting to prevent corruption practices in state-owned enterprises. Furthermore, the study provides recommendations to enhance internal and external oversight and reduce opportunities for financial statement manipulation through stricter regulations. This research is expected to serve as a reference for identifying corruption risks in the future.

Abstract

Islamic banks have a responsibility to ensure that every product, service, and operational activity is in accordance with sharia principles. Non-compliance with sharia principles not only risks legal sanctions but can also damage the bank's reputation and reduce customer trust. In this context, the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) plays a central role as an independent supervisor tasked with ensuring compliance. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SSB's role in mitigating compliance risks in Islamic banks. The study will analyze the extent to which the SSB is involved in the supervision process, the obstacles faced in carrying out its duties, and recommendations for improving the functionality of the SSB. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data will be obtained through literature studies, interviews with SSB members, and case studies of several Islamic banks in Indonesia. The results of this study are expected to provide a comprehensive picture of the role of the SSB in managing compliance risks and become a consideration for stakeholders in improving the governance of Islamic banks. In addition, the recommendations produced can help optimize the role of the SSB to be more effective in maintaining the integrity of the Islamic financial system in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem of zakat, infaq and sedekah, the social values of zakat, infaq and sedekah, the relationship between zakat, infaq and sedekah with the social values of society. The method used in this study is library research to investigate and review literature related to the concept of zakat, infaq, and sedekah and its relationship with the social values of society. Data were collected from various sources of information such as literature, scientific articles, manuscripts, and written works that are in accordance with the topic being studied. The results of this study include; (1) Zakat is an obligation in Islam that requires Muslims to give part of their wealth to those who are entitled (mustahik zakat). Infaq is a voluntary contribution for goodness or humanity, while sedekah is an act of giving without considering the status of the recipient, (2) The Social Values of Zakat, Infaq, and Sedekah include; justice values, solidarity values, empathy values and social welfare values, (3) The relationship between zakat, infak, and alms with social values of society includes: (a) redistribution of wealth and social justice, (b) building solidarity and social concern, (c) helping to eradicate poverty and increase welfare, (d) economic empowerment and independence, (e) strengthening religious and moral values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of government policies on the development of Islamic banking in Indonesia. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has great potential in developing Islamic banking in accordance with sharia principles. However, structural and regulatory challanges often become obstacles in optimizing this sector. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach, which involves analyzing the policies issued of this study show that from the financial services authority (OJK), have had a positive impact on the growth of Islamic banking. However, there are some challenges, such as inadequate infrastructure and fierce competition with conventional banking, which hinder further development. The findings highlight the importance of the government’s commitment in strengthening regulations and support for the Islamic banking industry in order to compete in the domestic and international markets.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the public relations strategy of the West Java Province Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) in managing social media content, especially on the Instagram platform @bpsdmjabar. With the rapid development of information technology, the role of public relations is not only to convey information, but also to build a positive image of the institution through effective and interactive content delivery. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that the public relations of BPSDM West Java Province implemented the SPARKLE (Smart Providing Answers, Radiating Knowledge with Love Enthusiasm) strategy for content management of general information, activities and entertainment. Evaluation of content performance is done through analysis and audience response using FAIR (Follower, Activity, Interaction, Responsive). This study concludes that content distribution through various Instagram features such as feeds, reels, stories, Highlights helps increase interaction and expand audience reach. In the future, BPSDM can conduct a more in-depth content evaluation by utilizing various analytical tools or using engagement rate calculations to measure the effectiveness of audience interaction and engagement.

Abstract

The research was conducted to look at correlation between executive function and gratitude of college students. The subjects used were the international Acehnese student in Malaysia. The subjects were chosen by stratifield random sampling techniques with quantitative research approaches. The instrument were The Executive Function Index (EFI) and Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6) based on Likert Scale. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) was used to administer and manage the collected data. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (min and percentage) and inference statistics which were the Pearson corelation, ANOVA and Regression. The hypothesis stating that there was statistically significant corelation between Executive Function and Gratitude was accepted as (r= .631, p .01). based on the research, several implications and suggestions are given.

Abstract

Work Accident Insurance (JKK) is one of the programs provided by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan aimed at ensuring that workers are protected from the potential risks of accidents or misfortune while performing their duties. The purpose of this study is to understand and describe the implementation of the Work Accident Insurance (JKK) program for firefighters at the Medan Tuntungan Fire Department (UPT). This research applies a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. To collect data, the techniques used include interviews, analysis, observation, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of the Work Accident Insurance program still faces challenges, such as the lack of understanding among firefighters about the benefits of JKK, the lack of knowledge on how to use JKK, and the insufficient cooperation between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and the Fire Department. This study recommends further socialization and simplification of administrative procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the JKK worker protection program implementation.

Abstract

The conferral of this honorary title has sparked mixed reactions from the public, particularly on social media platforms, where diverse opinions are widely expressed. One of the most vocal groups is the virtual community known as the "Angry Community." This group consists of individuals who disagree with or are even outraged by the decision to grant the title. They utilize Platform X to voice their disapproval, share critiques, and engage in discussions about the meaning and relevance of honorary titles (H.C.), particularly in this case involving a public figure like Raffi Ahmad. Data was collected using three primary techniques: participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Participatory observation was conducted to monitor interactions within the community directly, while in-depth interviews with community members, social media experts, and cultural observers aimed to provide deeper insights. The findings reveal that solidarity within this virtual community is built upon shared values, such as respect for academia, disapproval of the blending of the celebrity and academic worlds, and appreciation for formal learning processes. The community’s reactions are not merely a form of protest but also reflect their respect for these principles.

Abstract

Dalam ekonomi, konsep elastisitas mengukur bagaimana variabel ekonomi beradaptasi dengan variabel lainnya. Elastisitas harga, silang, dan pendapatan adalah tiga jenis elastisitas yang berbeda berdasarkan permintaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat seberapa fleksibel permintaan emas di Indonesia, dengan penekanan khusus pada fleksibelitas harga, fleksibelitas silang dengan produk lain, dan fleksibelitas pendapatan. Data yang digunakan mencakup informasi terbaru tentang harga emas dan permintaan masyarakat selama periode 2020–2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permintaan emas di Indonesia cukup fleksibel terhadap perubahan harga, dan terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara permintaan emas dan pendapatan masyarakat.
