Abstract

This study examines the practice of accepting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from PT. Sukun Wartono Indonesia by the Kudus Grand Mosque Foundation from an Islamic religious ethics perspective. PT. Sukun, as a company engaged in the cigarette industry, poses an ethical dilemma for religious institutions that accept its assistance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the views of mosque administrators on the CSR assistance and analyzes them through the framework of maqasid al-shariah and the principle of maslahah mursalah. The results indicate that although the funds originate from a controversial industry, mosque administrators assess that the social and religious benefits outweigh the potential harms. The acceptance of funds is based on considerations of the greater good of the community and the principle of social justice, provided that the purpose of the funds aligns with Islamic values. This study emphasizes the importance of contextual and flexible policies in the management of religious social funds. It also recommends that future research examine the perspectives of companies, particularly in their public relations strategies and efforts to build their image through religiously-based CSR initiatives.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam manajemen kewirausahaan UMKM dengan studi kasus pada Cafe Tongkrongan di Serang, Banten. Sektor UMKM kuliner memiliki peran strategis dalam ekonomi Indonesia dengan kontribusi 61,07% terhadap PDB dan penyerapan 97% tenaga kerja nasional. Namun, masih terbatas penelitian empiris tentang implementasi konkret nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam praktik manajemen UMKM. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara terstruktur pada pemilik Cafe Tongkrongan yang telah beroperasi 8 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kelima sila Pancasila dapat diwujudkan secara konkret dalam praktik bisnis UMKM, meliputi: kejujuran dalam penetapan harga (Sila 1), perlakuan manusiawi terhadap karyawan (Sila 2), prioritas supplier lokal (Sila 3), pengambilan keputusan demokratis (Sila 4), dan kontribusi sosial kepada masyarakat (Sila 5). Cafe Tongkrongan berhasil mencapai omzet Rp6-7 juta/hari dengan 8 karyawan lokal dan 130-140 menu. UMKM ini bahkan menjadi mentor bagi UMKM lainnya tanpa mengandalkan bantuan modal pemerintah. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan framework pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis nilai-nilai Pancasila yang sustainable dan memberikan dampak positif bagi ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of discipline and work environment on employee performance at the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) Jakarta. Enhancing employee performance is crucial for organizational success, and discipline and work environment factors are often identified as important predictors. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach, where data was collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of LPSK Jakarta. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the proposed hypotheses. The results of this study are expected to show that discipline and work environment, both partially and simultaneously, have a significant influence on employee performance. The practical implications of this research are to provide recommendations to LPSK Jakarta for developing policies and programs that can enhance discipline and create a conducive work environment to optimize employee performance.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between discipline and student learning outcomes in social studies learning for class VIII SMP YPI Baiturrahman Ngoro Mojokerto. This study uses a quantitative method with a correaltion approach, based on the discipline theory of Tu’u (2004). Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using the SPSS version 24 program. The research sample consisted of 32 class VIII students. The results showed a fairly strong relationship between discipline and student learning outcomes (correlation value r = 0,405). The relationship between discipline and student learning outcomes in social studies learning for class VIII SMP YPI Baiturrahman Ngoro Mojokerto was proven to be statistically significant (2,425 2,042). In conclusion, there is a positive relationship between discipline and learning outcomes. Students who are more disciplined tend to get better grades.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze kyai leadership in managing and improving the quality of education at Nasyrul Ulum Al-Aziziyah Islamic Boarding School Samalanga. The research focuses on the leadership style applied by the kyai and the strategies implemented to improve the quality of pesantren education. The research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with kyai, ustadz (teachers), foundation administrators, students (santri), and the community, as well as documentation. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that Abi Zulfikar Imran's leadership style combines authoritarian and charismatic leadership, referred to as charismatic authority. The kyai serves not only as a spiritual leader but also as a manager who integrates Islamic values with modern management. The strategies implemented include enhancing educator competencies through mindset transformation, developing curriculum that integrates salafi curriculum with formal curriculum, building infrastructure and facilities, strengthening evaluation systems, and empowering students through motivation and participation in various competitive activities. The implications of kyai leadership include improved spiritual education quality, better-structured organization, character building of students, good social interaction with the community, innovation in teaching methods, and attention to student welfare. This research concludes that effective kyai leadership is capable of mobilizing all elements of the pesantren to achieve the goal of improving educational quality. The success of kyai leadership is supported by the ability to combine traditional approaches with modern innovation and build harmonious communication with all stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of employee performance in improving public services at the Lemito Sub-District Office, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province. This study is motivated by the presence of slow services, service times that do not comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and the low discipline of employees in performing their duties. This study employs a descriptive, qualitative method, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation. The study focuses on three main aspects, namely quantity of work, quality of work, and time utilization. The findings show that the quantity of employee performance is considered adequate, as reflected in the services successfully completed. However, the quality of work is still not optimal, as various errors, including clerical errors and a lack of accuracy, are still found in the work. Time utilization is also not yet optimal, as evidenced by services that exceed the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and some employees who have not been able to fully utilize their working hours in carrying out their duties. Thus, this study recommends improving work discipline, implementing SOPs consistently, and providing training to improve employee skills.

Abstract

This article examines the fundamental clash between the principle of Permanent Sovereignty over Natural Resources (PSNR) and the international legal framework for the protection of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). This research aims to answer two main questions: first, how PSNR legitimizes the authority of the host state to regulate FDI; and second, what are the implications of exercising such authority on the fulfillment of the Fair and Equitable Treatment (FET) standard and the prohibition of indirect expropriation in investment agreements. Using a normative juridical research method, this article analyzes international legal doctrines, Indonesian laws and regulations, as well as international arbitration awards and WTO panel reports. The analysis reveals that PSNR provides a strong juridical basis for states to implement various forms of control over FDI in the natural resources sector. However, this authority is increasingly constrained by investment treaty obligations, particularly through the broad interpretation of the FET standard and the prohibition of indirect expropriation. This phenomenon has prompted states, including Indonesia, to actively recalibrate their international investment agreements to reclaim policy space and reassert their economic sovereignty.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the learning interest of 11th-grade students at MA Al-Ahliyah Bakan Maja in the Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqih) subject, specifically on the topic of Jinayat, through the implementation of the crossword puzzle learning method. The research was motivated by the low student interest characterized by minimal participation, low attention levels, and unsatisfactory learning outcomes. Using a qualitative approach in the form of Classroom Action Research with the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, the study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of four meetings. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Initial observations showed that only 24% of students were actively involved, with an average interest score of 2.1 (low category). After implementing the crossword puzzle in Cycle I, student participation rose to 65%, with an average interest score of 3.2. Improvements in Cycle II, including differentiated puzzle difficulty and a reward system, increased participation to 89% and the average interest score to 4.1. The findings indicate that the crossword puzzle method effectively boosts student interest in Fiqih, creating an active, enjoyable, and collaborative learning environment.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Anugrahmitra Selaras. Employee performance is an important factor in supporting productivity and achieving company goals. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, through distributing questionnaires to 38 respondents who are company employees. The data analysis techniques used include validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression, t test, F test, and coefficient of determination (R²) with the help of SPSS software version 25. The results showed that partially, motivation has no significant effect on employee performance, indicated by the t-count value of 1.449 t-table 2.028 and significance 0.156 0.05. Meanwhile, job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance with a t-count value of 3.351 t-table 2.028 and a significance of 0.02 0.05. Simultaneously, motivation and job satisfaction have a significant effect on performance, with an F-count value of 57.613 F-table 3.27 and a significance of 0.000 0.05. The coefficient of determination shows that motivation and job satisfaction contribute 76.7% to employee performance. Although motivation has no partial effect, but in combination with job satisfaction, both have an important role in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the impact of compensation and motivation on employee performance at PT Pos Indonesia Banjar Unit. PT Pos Indonesia Banjar Unit faces problems related to employee performance that is not optimal due to a disproportionate compensation system and lack of motivation among employees. In this study, the approach used is a survey with a quantitative method that covers the entire population of 37 employees of PT Pos Indonesia Banjar Unit through a saturated sampling technique to evaluate the effect of compensation and motivation on employee performance. Data were processed using SPSS through several stages, including data quality testing (validity and reliability), classical assumption testing (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using partial t-test, simultaneous F-test, and coefficient of determination test to analyze the impact of motivation and compensation on employee performance. The findings of this study indicate that compensation has a partially significant positive impact on employee performance, motivation also has a partially significant positive effect on employee performance, and simultaneously, compensation and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance at PT Pos Indonesia Banjar Unit. Companies are advised to assess the compensation system to ensure it is in line with the workload, improve motivation programs through awards and open comm.unication, and develop training to increase employee independence and initiative in carrying out tasks
