Abstract

The school committee is an independent body that accommodates community participation in improving the quality, equity, and efficiency of education management in educational units. This study aims to: (1) describe the management of the School Committee in achieving quality education at UPTD SPF SD Negeri Pandan Sari Gunung Meriah; and (2) analyze the implementation of the School Committee's functions so that they can run effectively in achieving quality education at UPTD SPF SD Negeri Pandan Sari Gunung Meriah. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion drawing. The results show that: (1) The management of the School Committee in achieving quality education covers three stages: (a) Program Planning, including planning for the procurement of qualified educators and education staff, planning for the provision of facilities and infrastructure, and planning for teacher competency enhancement training; (b) Program Implementation through meetings with the school and parents, forming committees, fundraising, and physical and non-physical program implementation; and (c) Program Evaluation through direct classroom observation, quality control of school policies, and monitoring of the budget and facilities; (2) The implementation of the School Committee's functions runs effectively through efforts to encourage community participation, provide recommendations to the principal, raise funds, improve facilities, add student learning hours, and organize talent-based extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Bureaucratic reform is a systematic agenda to realize professional, transparent, and service-oriented governance. In this process, the quality of state apparatus is a determining factor in the success of government administration and public services. One of the main instruments in state apparatus management is the implementation of a merit system that places competence, performance, and integrity as the basis for managing human resources of the apparatus. This study aims to analyze the role of the merit system as a determinant of the performance and integrity of modern bureaucracy, identify obstacles in its implementation, and formulate a strategy for restructuring apparatus governance based on meritocracy. The study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method through the review of literature, scientific journals, laws and regulations, and related official documents. The research analysis is based on Max Weber's rational-legal bureaucracy theory, the concept of good governance, and the theory of meritocracy in public administration. The results show that the implementation of a merit system can increase the professionalism of state apparatus, encourage objectivity in job promotions, strengthen bureaucratic integrity, and improve the quality of performance and public services. However, the implementation of the merit system still faces various obstacles, such as political interference, a culture of patronage, weak oversight, limited staff competency, and a suboptimal digital civil service management system. Therefore, strengthening leadership commitment, accountable oversight, staff competency development, and organizational culture transformation are needed to support the realization of a modern, professional, and integrated bureaucracy.

Abstract

The growth of digital technology has fundamentally changed the ways people communicate, learn, and share religious information in society. Short video platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts are increasingly taking over how young people access knowledge, including Islamic knowledge. This phenomenon brings both opportunities and challenges for carrying out Islamic preaching and learning in a way that is effective and responsible. This article aims to analyze the potential of optimizing short video content focused on Islamic education as a means of preaching and learning in the digital age. It uses a conceptual paper approach based on literature review. The research used a literature review method by analyzing various national and international scientific sources that discuss digital preaching, Islamic learning media, digital literacy, and the use of short video platforms. The study’s results show that short videos are very effective in capturing the audience’s attention, boosting engagement, and spreading the values of Islam to a wider audience. However, there are serious challenges such as the risk of oversimplifying religious material, spreading unverified information, the dominance of platform algorithms, and low levels of religious digital literacy. This article presents an integrated conceptual model as a framework for developing Islamic preaching and learning through short videos that are adaptable, educational, and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze social work practices in restructuring the lives of families experiencing socio-psychological problems. The method used is library research, involving a review of various literature related to social work, family dynamics, and social interventions. The findings indicate that family problems require a comprehensive approach through assessment, assistance, and needs-based interventions. Social work practice plays an important role in helping families improve their social functioning, enhance communication, and build family resilience. Restructuring family life is a strategic effort to create sustainable social welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the psychosocial dynamics and the effectiveness of social work interventions for child victims of violence who have run away from home. The method used is a qualitative approach with an explanatory case study design. Primary data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, genograms, and eco-maps. The intervention integrated the Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) approach, individual counseling using art therapy techniques, peer support group activities, and the mobilization of formal and informal support systems, which were then analyzed to draw conclusions based on the existing issues. The results showed a significant improvement in emotional regulation, a reduction in acute anxiety symptoms and hypervigilance, the elimination of maladaptive coping behaviors, and the restoration of clients’ interpersonal relationship capacity. However, family reintegration could not be achieved during the internship period due to chronic dysfunction within the nuclear family microsystem.

Abstract

Product price and quality influence a person’s decision-making process. Price is a key factor in a person’s decision to make a purchase. The lower the price, the more interested the buyer will be; conversely, the higher the price, the less interested the buyer will be. Another factor that influences purchasing decisions is product quality. Product quality is crucial for buyers when making their choice. Consumers are more likely to purchase high-quality products even if the price is slightly higher. These two factors help determine the buyer’s choice when deciding on a purchase. Other factors, such as location and service quality, also influence purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyse the influence of price and product quality on purchasing decisions for Soto Ayam Cak Dul in Surabaya. The population in this study consists of customers who purchase Soto Ayam Cak Dul in Surabaya. The sample size for this study is 86 people. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software version 26. The results of the study can be summarised as follows: price has a significant influence on the decision to purchase Soto Ayam Cak Dul in Surabaya. Product quality has a significant influence on the decision to purchase Soto Ayam Cak Dul in Surabaya. Price and product quality simultaneously have a significant influence on the decision to purchase Soto Ayam Cak Dul in Surabaya.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education plays an important role in shaping the noble character of students as a provision in both personal and social life. The development of technology and increasingly complex social changes demand the strengthening of character education in the school environment, so Islamic Religious Education teachers are required to be able to carry out their roles optimally in fostering the character of students. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the noble character of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research type, by reviewing various scientific literature in the form of books, journals, articles, and other documents related to the role of teachers and character development in the Islamic perspective. The data is analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques to obtain a comprehensive picture of the strategies used by teachers in shaping students' character. The results of the study show that Islamic Education teachers act as mentors, role models, motivators, as well as evaluators in the process of moral development through exemplification, habituation, advice, and instilling Islamic values in learning. Therefore, the success of shaping students' noble character is greatly influenced by the teachers' earnestness in consistently integrating Islamic values within the educational environment.

Abstract

Indonesia’s multicultural society presents significant challenges and opportunities for strengthening religious moderation within educational environments. Increasing cases of intolerance, social polarization, and interreligious conflict indicate the urgent need for inclusive and diversity-responsive educational approaches. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in enhancing religious moderation through Problem-Based Multicultural Education. The research employed a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design. Data were collected from peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and other academic databases published between 2019 and 2026. The review process followed identification, screening, eligibility, thematic analysis, and synthesis stages based on PRISMA guidelines. A total of 48 relevant studies were selected and analyzed comprehensively. The findings revealed that 91% of the reviewed studies emphasized teachers’ strategic roles in fostering tolerance, inclusiveness, empathy, and democratic values within multicultural classrooms. Approximately 87% of the studies also demonstrated that Problem-Based Multicultural Education effectively improves students’ critical thinking, collaborative learning, and peaceful coexistence in diverse social contexts. The study further identified that contextual learning activities based on real social problems significantly contribute to strengthening religious moderation and reducing discriminatory attitudes among students. The study concludes that integrating teachers’ pedagogical competence, multicultural awareness, and problem-based learning provides an effective educational framework for developing harmonious and inclusive learning environments in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

Control and evaluation of regional development play an important role in supporting the effectiveness of development planning and decision-making by local governments. However, the implementation of development control in the Balikpapan City Government still faces various obstacles because development data management is carried out through several partially integrated systems, namely the Integrated Performance Evaluation and Accountability Measurement System (REAKSI), the Balikpapan City Budget Realization Reporting Information System (SIPERANGKO), and the Balikpapan One Data Portal. This condition results in repeated data entry, inconsistencies between systems, and the suboptimal use of development evaluation data in the policy-making and regional development planning processes. This policy paper aims to formulate policy recommendations for strengthening the governance of regional development control and evaluation through the integration of development information systems in Balikpapan City. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach through regulatory review, theoretical review, gap analysis of existing conditions, and policy alternative analysis using the Bardach and Patashnik approach. The results of the study indicate that the most feasible policy alternative is the integration of the REAKSI and SIPERANGKO applications into an Integrated Regional Development Control and Evaluation System, which is expected to improve the integration of development data, reporting efficiency, and the quality of data-based regional development planning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital marketing strategies adopted by local entrepreneurs in competing against imported smartphone accessories in the Indonesian market. The development of globalization and the rapid growth of e-commerce have facilitated the entry of imported products into the domestic market through cross-border trading systems, thereby intensifying competition especially in terms of price and product variety. These conditions require local businesses to develop adaptive and effective marketing strategies to maintain competitiveness. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data obtained through observation and literature review. The findings indicate that digital marketing strategies such as social media utilization, creation of engaging and informative content, and active consumer interaction play an important role in building trust and increasing purchase intention. Empirically, content marketing is proven to have the strongest influence on consumer purchase intention (?=0.359), followed by brand image (?=0.351) and social media engagement (?=0.209), with the model explaining 68.1% of purchase intention variance (R²=0.681). Furthermore, e-commerce adoption by local UMKM has resulted in average sales volume increases of 75%, active customer growth of 77%, and monthly revenue increases of 87%. Service differentiation including fast response, good communication, and flexibility in transaction systems also serves as a supporting factor in creating competitive advantage that imported products cannot easily replicate. Thus, digital marketing functions not merely as a promotional tool, but as a primary strategy in facing global competition.
