Abstract

This study aims to explore the crucial role of language proficiency in everyday life, particularly among children in Group B at TK 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 72. A descriptive qualitative design approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentary studies. The research findings indicate that children in this group possess significant expressive language abilities. They can engage in two-way communication with peers and adults, narrate the content of stories read to them, and express desires or disagreements verbally. Importantly, the optimal involvement of parents and the home environment contributes positively to providing stimulation to enrich the vocabulary of children through activities that reinforce the content of storytelling introduced at school. The results of this research can serve as a foundation for better understanding and enhancing language learning for children at the preschool level.

Abstract

Learning the art of music is no longer strange when you are at RA/TK because music serves as a foundation for learning from start to finish. Learning the art of music is very important for young children because music plays a significant role in fostering and improving memory. This happens because when children listen to music, their brain cells work more actively, making children more enthusiastic about learning, especially when they play music or a musical instrument. This activity helps train motor skills and develop sensitivity to coordinate various senses. Meanwhile, learning the art of music using musical instruments at RA Al-Kamal is rarely implemented. It is only during certain events that children are taught to play several musical instruments at RA Al-Kamal.

Abstract

The Utilization of Digital Applications in Education Facilitates the Teaching and Learning Process. Quizlet, as one such application for language learning, is examined in this research to assess its effectiveness in enhancing Early English vocabulary for 5-6 years old. The research employs a quantitative method through surveys, collecting data via questionnaires based on theoretical frameworks. Results indicate that the use of Quizlet enhances English vocabulary for young children, as evidenced by their recognition of English words. This suggests that Quizlet can aid teachers in introducing English to early learners, providing an alternative method to improve English vocabulary for young children. Future research may explore further developments in the utilization of similar applications.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of traditional bakiak games on the gross motor skills of early childhood. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an experimental design, specifically utilizing a pre-experimental One Group Pretest-posttest design. The participants include all children at Mutiara Bunda Early Childhood Education (PAUD), amounting to 18 children, who were selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through observation sheets. Prerequisite tests, such as normality and homogeneity tests, were conducted, followed by hypothesis testing using the t-test. The findings indicate that the t-table value at a significance level of 5% supports the research hypothesis, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. The findings of this research underline the importance of incorporating traditional games like bakiak into early childhood education to enhance gross motor skills.

Abstract

The Information Technology era inseparably intertwines students' behavior with internet usage through computers, laptops, and gadgets. Da'wah (Islamic preaching) is a responsibility for every Muslim, regardless of their profession, requiring effective means for its delivery. Social media serves as a platform for accessing and disseminating moral messages of da'wah. This qualitative descriptive research focuses on the utilization of social media by students for obtaining and spreading Islamic da'wah content. The study involves students of Islamic Education at UIN Batusangkar, specifically the 2023 cohort. Data collection employed a questionnaire distributed to 50 students from December 6 to December 15, 2023. Key findings reveal that 100% of students possess social media applications, with 86% favoring Instagram. Furthermore, 100% have encountered digital da'wah, 78% consistently receive it through the "For You Page" (FYP) feature, and 94% have shared digital da'wah. The predominant platform for disseminating da'wah content is WhatsApp (78%), driven by the goal of earning continuous rewards (pahala jariyah) for sharing beneficial knowledge (88%).

The research design used is classroom action research with a sample of 13 children selected through simple random sampling. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and the data obtained were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the research show that the musical intelligence of the children increased from cycle I to cycle 2 after the implementation of research and improvement actions. This indicates that recycled drum band games can enhance musical intelligence in 5-6-year-old children. The implementation of these activities is adjusted to the stages of their age, brain development, and intelligence. It involves introductory stages and methods that facilitate them in memorizing different beats in each played song.
