Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of songs in facilitating memorization for early childhood students at KB Karya Bersama, Pacitan Regency. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews with teachers.The results of the study show that the use of songs effectively enhances the memorization abilities of young children. Songs with simple melodies and repetitive lyrics help children remember material more easily compared to conventional methods. In addition, songs create a fun learning atmosphere, improve focus, and motivate children to learn without feeling burdened. Teachers also experience the benefits of this method in increasing students' active participation during lessons. However, selecting songs that are appropriate for the children’s age and learning material is a key factor in the success of this method. Recommendations for future research include developing a wider variety of songs, integrating technology into song-based learning, and testing the effectiveness of this method on larger and more diverse groups of children. In conclusion, songs are an effective strategy for improving memory in early childhood, and thus can become an integral part of learning methods at the early childhood education level. Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the form of symbolic interaction in the habit of singing and to analyze the meaning of symbolic interaction in the habit of singing. This study uses a qualitative research approach method with a case study method whose data is in the form of sentence fragments in children's song lyrics. This study uses George Herbert Mead's Symbolic Interaction theory. The approach used in this study is the Social Interaction approach. This analysis technique is used in this study to interpret the process of symbolic interaction in the habit of singing through the lyrics of the song. The results of this study show that symbolic interaction is present in the habit of singing. Symbolic interaction has three main concepts, namely Mind, Self and Society. The meaning of symbolic interaction mind is that there are several nonverbal and verbal symbols found that have different meanings between educators and students. While the meaning of self is that Mead divides the concepts of "I" and "Me" and in this study there is this concept. Finally, the concept of society is the concept of society where students can be accepted in society. Keywords: symbolic interaction; singing

Abstract

The research is motivated by a problem of the low level of increasing children’s creativity through stamping activities using banana stems and media for group B at Bina Ananda Kindergarten. The type of research used is the classroom action research method which is  carried out in two cycles. The subjects in this study were group B students at Bina Ananda Kindergarten in the 2024/2025 Academic Year totaling 12 children, including 7 boys and 5 girls. The success criteria in this study are Developing According to Expectations (BSH) and Develoving Very Well (BSB). In cycle I only 6 children achieved the level of completion from a total of 12 children involved increasing stamping and increasing children’s creativity by 92%. The conclusion of the study is that the activity of stamping using banana stem media can increase the creativity of early childhood grop B at Bina Ananda Kindergarten. Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of using Educational Game Tools (APE) to enhance the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at BA Aisyiyah Baleharjo, Pacitan. A quantitative method with a pre-test post-test control group design was employed. The sample consisted of an experimental group using APE and a control group using conventional methods. Data were collected through cognitive tests, observations, and interviews. The t-test results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group (p < 0.05) with an effect size (Cohen’s d) of 0.85, indicating a substantial impact. Observations revealed that children were more active, enthusiastic, and exhibited better memory and problem-solving skills. Interviews with teachers confirmed that APE enhanced cognition, social skills, and learning motivation. Thus, APE is proven effective and recommended for early childhood education. Abstract

The digital revolution has presented challenges in the child education system, including gaps in access to digital infrastructure, limitations in teachers' competence in integrating technology, and concerns about negative impacts on children's socio-emotional development. This study aims to analyze the role of innovation and technology in education in the digital era, explore effective technology-based learning models, and identify strategies for developing children's intelligence to meet the demands of the 21st century. The method used was a systematic literature review with a thematic analysis of peer-reviewed journals from leading academic databases. The results show that technology plays a significant role in creating personal, collaborative, and inclusive learning through game-based learning, adaptive learning, and artificial intelligence-based applications. The effectiveness of technology integration depends on a blended learning approach, adequate infrastructure, educator training, and policies that support equitable access, thus requiring stakeholder collaboration in creating an optimal digital education ecosystem. Abstract

This study focuses on understanding the instillation of Islamic values ​​in the formation of early childhood manners through the habit of memorizing Asmaul Husnah and Short Letters. In Bustanul Athfal Aisyiyah Gembuk I. The study used a qualitative method with a case study design. The results of the study showed that the habit of memorizing Asmaul Husnah and Short Letters can help children understand and internalize Islamic values, as well as improve their manners. This study recommends that the Asmaul Husnah and Short Letter memorization program can be integrated into the early childhood education curriculum. The increase in manners is reflected in the increase in scores on the manners indicator, such as saying hello, respecting parents, and avoiding bad behavior. In addition, the study also shows that the Asmaul Husnah and Short Letter memorization program can improve children's ability to memorize Asmaul Husnah and Short Letters. This study concludes that the habit of memorizing Asmaul Husnah and Short Letters can be an effective strategy in instilling Islamic values ​​in early childhood. Therefore, this study recommends that the program of memorizing Asmaul Husnah and Short Letters can be implemented into the early childhood education curriculum. Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a crucial role in shaping children’s character through the integration of religious and ethical values. This study aims to examine strategies for integrating these values into the ECE curriculum, their impact on character formation, and the challenges of implementation. Employing a qualitative approach based on a literature review, the study analyzes 25 sources, including journals, books, and government regulations, selected for their relevance to character education in early childhood (2010–2023). Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis to identify themes of strategies, impacts, and obstacles. Findings indicate that strategies such as habituation (e.g., praying and practicing courtesy), value-based storytelling, structured play, and project-based learning effectively enhance prosocial behaviors (empathy, cooperation), moral integrity (honesty, responsibility), and spiritual awareness (gratitude, faith). However, challenges such as limited teacher competency, variations in interpreting religious values, and uncontrolled gadget exposure hinder implementation. The study recommends teacher training, collaboration with parents, and the development of digital learning media to support holistic character education. These findings contribute to developing a value-rich ECE curriculum, supporting Indonesia’s national education vision. Keywords:  Early Childhood Education; Value; Character

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Loose Part media in developing creativity and social interaction at BA Aisyiyah Ketro II. The method used is a quantitative approach with experimental research type. The research design applied was Intact-Group Comparison. The sample in this study was taken randomly using random sampling technique, which is the selection of samples from the population randomly. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used include observation sheets, questionnaires, and learning outcome assessment sheets. The results showed that the learning activities of group A students using Loose Part a were better than those of group B students. The group that used Loose Part media made students more creative and enthusiastic in learning activities and trained students to cooperate with their friends so that their creativity and social interaction increased. Meanwhile, groups that do not use Loose Part media in their learning activities are more monotonous and tend to be passive. Abstract

In early childhood, the role of educators has a great influence on children's social and emotional development. This is because early childhood tends to imitate what they see, without being able to distinguish between good and bad behavior. Therefore, they easily imitate the attitudes of those around them. One way that can be used to observe a child's social-emotional development is through traditional games such as dakon. The purpose of this study is to find out how the game of dakon can support early childhood social-emotional development. The results of the study show that the dakon game at RA Bahrul Ulum can be an effective medium in training children's social and emotional attitudes in a simpler way. This game helps children understand noble values such as helpfulness, empathy, responsibility for actions taken, and accepting defeat. This research is focused on children aged 5-6 years with the hope of understanding and developing social-emotional attitudes, such as tidying up the game tools after playing dakon, caring for friends who don't understand the rules of the game, and learning to accept defeat with open arms. Abstract

This research seeks to explore and assess how gadgets are utilized in the early childhood education process at PAUD KB Cahaya Putra Tegalombo, Pacitan. It primarily focuses on the institution’s approach to effectively incorporating technology into learning and the strategies adopted to ensure gadget use contributes positively to children’s overall development. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the study involves participants including teachers, the head of the PAUD, and parents. Data were gathered through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation regarding gadget use in learning activities, along with institutional policies. The results indicate that, when used appropriately, gadgets can enhance cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills development in young children. However, the institution encounters challenges such as children's overreliance on gadgets, inadequate supervision, and infrastructural limitations. In response, the school enforces time restrictions on gadget use, promotes active teacher involvement, and integrates both online and offline learning methods. Furthermore, collaboration with external partners is undertaken to develop educational applications that are suitable for the children's age group. This study underscores the need for a comprehensive approach to integrating technology into early childhood education, ensuring that gadget use delivers optimal benefits without hindering physical and social growth.
