Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a long-term metabolic disorder marked by elevated blood sugar levels and can lead to long-term complications, including peripheral neuropathy, which causes decreased foot sensitivity and increases the risk of ulcers and amputation. Preventive efforts can be carried out through physical exercises such as Active Lower Range of Motion, which help improve peripheral blood circulation and nerve sensitivity. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach using a pretest–posttest control group design involving 36 respondents with type 2 DM. The intervention consisted of regular Active Lower ROM exercises, and foot sensitivity was assessed using a 10-gram monofilament. The results showed that most respondents were 60–70 years old and predominantly female. Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney analyses indicated a notable change was observed between the pre-intervention and post-intervention results (p=0.000), demonstrating that ALROM exercises effectively reduce the risk of peripheral neuropathy. This exercise can serve as a safe, simple, and beneficial non-pharmacological therapy for individuals with type 2 DM.

This study investigates the difficulties faced by Indonesian learners in developing Korean reading proficiency, focusing on students enrolled in the Korean Language Program at Universitas Madani Indonesia. Using a qualitative exploratory design, data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with seven selected participants. The findings reveal five major obstacles: insufficient vocabulary knowledge, heavy reliance on translation tools, structural and grammatical challenges, and difficulties understanding various text types. Learners also struggle to identify main ideas due to limited discourse-processing skills. These challenges stem from typological differences between Korean and Indonesian, restricted reading exposure, and inadequate cultural knowledge. The study highlights the need for instruction that integrates vocabulary development, explicit grammar teaching, scaffolded text engagement, and cultural literacy. The results offer important insights for improving Korean reading pedagogy in Indonesian educational contexts.

This study aims to examine the role of leadership and work stress on work motivation and employee performance at the Muna District Attorney’s Office, while also testing the mediating role of work motivation. The study employed a quantitative approach involving 40 employees as research respondents. Data were collected through questionnaire distribution developed based on indicators relevant to the research variables. Path analysis was conducted using the SmartPLS application. The results indicate that leadership does not have a significant effect on either work motivation or employee performance. In contrast, work stress has a significant effect on both work motivation and employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation significantly influences employee performance. The findings also reveal that work motivation mediates the relationship between leadership and work stress with employee performance. Therefore, work motivation plays a strategic role in enhancing employee performance within the Muna District Attorney’s Office.

This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity of collagen extracted from catfish (Clarias sp.) using DPPH and ABTS assays. The research procedures included sample preparation, collagen extraction using an acid-based method, and antioxidant analysis at concentrations ranging from 20–100 ppm. The degree of hydrolysis (DH) was measured to determine the effectiveness of Alkalase in producing bioactive peptides. The results showed that higher enzyme concentrations led to increased DH, with the highest value of 62.42% obtained at 3% Alkalase. Antioxidant activity increased with sample concentration, with maximum inhibition values of 78.57% (DPPH) and 85.00% (ABTS) at 100 ppm. The ABTS assay exhibited higher sensitivity than DPPH. These findings indicate that catfish collagen has strong potential as a safe and natural antioxidant source suitable for further development in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic applications.

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, including in Indonesia. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is an important risk factor because it increases the likelihood of cardiovascular events by 2–4 times through mechanisms such as chronic hyperglycemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, and endothelial dysfunction. Risk assessment using the Framingham Risk Score (FRS) is essential, as it can estimate the 10-year risk of CHD based on age, blood pressure, lipid profile, smoking status, and the presence of diabetes. The increase in DM cases at Raden Mattaher Hospital Jambi from 92 in 2023 to 125 in 2024 highlights the need for early cardiovascular risk detection. This study aimed to describe CHD risk in Type II DM patients using the FRS through a descriptive quantitative design involving 62 respondents. The results showed that 46 respondents (74.2%) were in the low-risk category, emphasizing that the FRS is useful in supporting clinical decision-making and planning preventive interventions for diabetic patients.

This study examines the role of local ecological wisdom as an alternative model for sustainable development amid the dominance of modern industrialization, which often leads to environmental degradation and social inequality. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a literature-based study design, combining conceptual analysis with a political ecology perspective to explore the relationships among industrialization, power dynamics, and natural resource governance. The findings indicate that local ecological wisdom embedded in indigenous communities—such as customary norms, conservation traditions, and community-based resource management systems—plays a significant role in maintaining ecological balance, strengthening social cohesion, and preserving cultural identity. Integrating local wisdom into development policies is therefore considered relevant for mitigating the negative impacts of industrialization and promoting more just, inclusive, and sustainable development. This study provides analytical and normative contributions to the discourse on sustainable development and environmental governance rather than generalizable empirical conclusions.

This study aims to examine the comparison between warm red ginger compresses and warm white ginger compresses on back pain in third-trimester pregnant women at Rawasari Health Center, Jambi City. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design: equivalent two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 34 third-trimester pregnant women divided into two groups (17 red ginger, 17 white ginger) using consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed differences in the changes in back pain levels between the two intervention groups, with a greater reduction in back pain observed in pregnant women who received warm red ginger compresses. Therefore, non-pharmacological therapy in the form of warm red ginger compresses can be recommended to healthcare professionals as an effort to reduce back pain in women during the third trimester of pregnancy.

This study is motivated by the increasing competition of fast food MSMEs in Ambon City, so it is necessary to identify and evaluate the financial conditions and marketing strategies to ensure business sustainability. This study aims to identify and analyze the financial and marketing aspects in determining the feasibility of a business or business in the "Burgerak" MSME in the culinary field. The establishment of this business is an innovation from the business owner who sees the large business opportunities due to the lack of food trends in Ambon City. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive approach by obtaining data from interviews, observations, documentation, and simple financial reports. Business feasibility analysis is carried out using net profit indicators, payback period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), and Profitability Index (PI). The results of the study show that Burgerak MSMEs are financially viable with stable profits, and have a fairly effective marketing strategy in reaching local consumers. However, increasing product innovation and expanding promotional reach are still needed to strengthen the business position in the Ambon culinary market.
