Abstract

Children's Equipment Bag is a means to store and carry children's equipment while traveling. Usually our view on a children's bag is in the form of a sling bag and with animal or cartoon motifs but it is less attra active and also has a monotonous design if you have to take it when traveling with your little one. What is needed is a children's bag with a shape that can be adapted to consumer needs and its function is not only a place to store and carry children's equipment, but this bag can also be used in all activities with new innovations. Based on these problems, researchers will innovate with the design of children's bag products using synthetic leather material with a space-themed backpack model. but will also be an attraction for consumers.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of center-based learning to develop critical thinking skills in children aged 4–6 years at TK Harapan Bangsa Jeranglah Tinggi. Employing a descriptive qualitative design, the research involved 16 children and two teachers over six weeks, utilizing systematic observation, assessment rubrics, field notes, and interviews. Data were analyzed thematically and descriptively. Results demonstrate consistent improvement across four indicators: questioning, comparing, problem-solving, and reflective reasoning, with an average score increase of 64.9%. Teacher facilitation strategies, particularly open-ended questioning, cognitive modeling, and responsive scaffolding, emerged as primary success drivers. Spatial constraints and transition challenges were effectively addressed through weekly theme rotation and structured visual schedules. The study concludes that child-centered center-based learning successfully establishes a meaningful play environment that cultivates early inquiry habits and foundational reasoning. These findings recommend strengthening preschool educators’ facilitation competencies and providing open-ended materials to sustain cognitive development.

Abstract

This study examines ideological polarization in online news comment sections through a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. In recent years, digital platforms have increasingly become sites of discursive contestation where ideological divisions are intensified rather than mitigated. Using a qualitative interpretive design, this study analyzes approximately 300 user comments on political news articles collected through purposive sampling. The analysis applies van Dijk’s socio-cognitive model, focusing on textual structures, social cognition, and social context. The findings reveal three dominant patterns: (1) the construction of “us versus them” dichotomies through evaluative and exclusionary language, (2) the use of emotional and stigmatizing discourse as a mechanism of ideological legitimation, and (3) the recursive reproduction of polarization through interactive comment chains. Drawing on recent studies in digital communication and polarization, the findings demonstrate that online language operates as a form of symbolic power that reinforces group boundaries and social fragmentation. This study contributes to contemporary digital discourse research by emphasizing the importance of critical digital literacy and micro-level discursive analysis in understanding ideological polarization.

Abstract

Human trafficking is a crime that causes physical, psychological, social, and economic harm to victims, thereby requiring effective legal protection. This study aims to analyze the role of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) in the implementation of restitution for victims of human trafficking in Decision Number 45/Pid.Sus/2023 of the Bajawa District Court and to examine the obstacles encountered in its implementation. This research employs an empirical juridical method with a socio-legal approach. Data were obtained through interviews and library research, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results indicate that LPSK has carried out its role through legal assistance, physical and psychological protection, psychosocial rehabilitation, and the submission of restitution claims for victims. However, the implementation of restitution has not been fully effective due to several obstacles, including weak coordination among law enforcement agencies, limited restitution execution mechanisms, limited institutional resources, and low victim awareness regarding restitution rights. Therefore, stronger coordination, supervision, and restitution enforcement mechanisms are needed to ensure effective victim protection and victim-oriented recovery in cases of human trafficking.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of minimum wages and social security for workers in Kupang City, as well as the factors influencing their implementation. This study is important given that minimum wages and social security are fundamental rights of workers that must be fulfilled to ensure the well-being and protection of the workforce. The research method used in this study is a legal-empirical approach utilizing primary and secondary data obtained through interviews, literature reviews, legislation, expert legal opinions, as well as books and journals related to the research. This approach was used to obtain an overview of the actual conditions regarding the implementation of workers’ rights in Kupang City. The research results indicate that the implementation of the minimum wage and social security for workers in Kupang City has not been fully realized. The implementation of the minimum wage is influenced by labor productivity, inflation rates, economic conditions, social conditions, and government policies. Meanwhile, the implementation of employment social security still faces obstacles in the form of low legal awareness among workers and employers, limited government oversight, and suboptimal compliance by companies in fulfilling workers’ rights.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Manupeu Tanah Daru and Laiwangi Wanggameti National Park Office (Balai TN MaTaLaWa) in managing community-based tourism at Lapopu Waterfall, Rewarara Village, Wanokaka District, West Sumba Regency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to understand the implementation of community-based tourism management in the conservation area. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study involving the National Park Office, village government, local communities, tourism managers, and tourists. The results indicate that Balai TN MaTaLaWa has performed its role as regulator, facilitator, catalyst, and dynamizer in tourism management. Its role as regulator is reflected in the establishment of tourism management rules and supervision of conservation areas. As a facilitator, the institution supports tourism facilities and community economic activities. As a catalyst, Balai TN MaTaLaWa builds cooperation among stakeholders, while as a dynamizer it provides training and tourism awareness education to local communities. The implementation of Community Based Tourism (CBT) has involved local communities in tourism activities, particularly as tour guides and environmental caretakers. However, tourism management still faces several challenges, including limited tourism human resources, inadequate supporting facilities, and unstable water discharge affecting the attractiveness of Lapopu Waterfall. Therefore, strengthening community capacity, improving infrastructure, and enhancing cooperation among stakeholders are necessary to support sustainable tourism management in the area.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of mediation as an alternative dispute resolution method for breach of contract disputes in credit agreements at Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Surya NTT. The research used an empirical juridical approach with descriptive qualitative methods. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and literature study involving legal aid advocates and clients involved in credit agreement disputes. The results show that mediation is relatively effective because it provides faster, less expensive, and more flexible dispute resolution compared to litigation. Mediation also encourages communication between parties and helps achieve mutually acceptable agreements. However, its effectiveness is still influenced by good faith, legal awareness, and the economic conditions of the parties involved. The implementation of rights and obligations after mediation generally runs well, although delays in fulfilling obligations are still found in several cases.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the sub-district head (Camat) in community empowerment and village development in Lamboya District, West Sumba Regency, based on Government Regulation Number 17 of 2018 concerning Sub-Districts. The research employed an empirical juridical method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies involving the Camat, village heads, district staff, Village Consultative Body (BPD) members, and community representatives. The findings reveal that the Camat has carried out important functions in coordinating, supervising, and guiding village governance and development programs, as well as facilitating community empowerment activities. These roles contribute to improving development implementation and encouraging community participation at the village level. However, the effectiveness of these functions has not been fully optimized due to several obstacles, including limited infrastructure, inadequate human resources, weak coordination among institutions, and inconsistencies in regulatory implementation. These challenges affect the achievement of development objectives and the sustainability of empowerment programs. Therefore, strengthening technical regulations, enhancing institutional coordination, and improving the capacity of government officials are necessary to optimize the Camat’s role in supporting effective village development and sustainable community empowerment in Lamboya District.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas pelayanan kesehatan di Puskesmas Oelbiteno dalam upaya meningkatkan pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat di Kecamatan Fatuleu Tengah, Kabupaten Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, kuesioner, serta dokumentasi yang melibatkan tenaga kesehatan dan masyarakat sebagai informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan kesehatan di Puskesmas Oelbiteno telah dilaksanakan melalui program promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. Namun demikian, efektivitas pelayanan belum berjalan secara optimal karena masih terdapat berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan tenaga medis, sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai, kekurangan obat dan alat kesehatan, hambatan geografis wilayah, serta rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pelayanan kesehatan. Selain itu, kualitas pelayanan juga masih dipengaruhi oleh beban kerja petugas kesehatan serta komunikasi antara petugas kesehatan dan pasien. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya peningkatan sumber daya manusia, perbaikan fasilitas pelayanan, serta penguatan pelayanan kesehatan berbasis masyarakat guna meningkatkan efektivitas pelayanan kesehatan secara berkelanjutan secara menyeluruh di wilayah tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of the Obor Mas Kupang Savings and Loan Cooperative using financial ratio analysis, including liquidity, solvency, profitability, and activity ratios during the 2022–2024 period. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with financial ratio analysis consisting of the Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Asset Ratio  (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio  (DER), Return on Asset s (ROA), Return on Equity  (ROE), and Total Asset Turnover. The data used are the cooperative’s financial statements, including the balance sheet and the Statement of Remaining Operating Results (SHU). The results show that from a liquidity perspective, the Current Ratio decreased from a very unhealthy category in 2022 and 2023 to a fairly healthy category in 2024, indicating an improvement in managing short-term liabilities. From a solvency perspective, the Debt to Asset Ratio  remained in the very unhealthy category throughout the study period, as total liabilities exceeded total assets, while the Debt to Equity Ratio  showed improvement from less healthy to fairly healthy. From a profitability perspective, both Return on Asset s and Return on Equity  indicate low and unstable performance, falling into unhealthy to very unhealthy categories. From an activity perspective, Total Asset Turnover shows fluctuating performance, experiencing a decline and then improvement, but remaining unstable.
