Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and competence on employee performance at PT. Zahir Internasional, South Jakarta. The method used is quantitative descriptive research, which is research with data collected through a questionnaire survey and expressed in numerical form involving 80 respondents. Data analysis was performed using simple and multiple linear regression. The results showed that work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (calculated t = 2.942 > table t = 1.991), meaning that the higher the work motivation, the better the performance. Conversely, competence did not show a significant effect on employee performance (t count = 0.520 < t table = 1.991), indicating that competence did not contribute significantly to performance improvement. Simultaneously, work motivation and competence have a significant effect on employee performance (F count = 4.584 > F table = 3.115), with a total contribution of 10.6%. These findings indicate the importance of increasing work motivation to improve employee performance, while competence needs to be improved to provide more optimal support. This study suggests that companies should pay more attention to motivation and provide appropriate training to improve employee competency, so that organizational performance can be improved.

Abstract

Abstrak. This study aims to examine the effect of the Current Ratio (CR), Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC), and Total Asset Turnover on Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) in infrastructure sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2024 period. The study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression, with samples selected through purposive sampling and data obtained from companies’ annual financial statements. The estimation is conducted using the Random Effect Model with a Generalized Least Squares approach, which is considered appropriate for capturing differences in firm characteristics as well as changes over time. The results indicate that, simultaneously, CR, CCC, and Total Asset Turnover do not have a significant effect on CAPEX. The partial test results also show that each independent variable does not significantly influence corporate capital expenditure decisions. These findings suggest that capital investment decisions in infrastructure companies are not solely driven by internal financial conditions such as liquidity, working capital efficiency, and asset utilization. Abstract

Abstrak. This study aims to determine the influence of work motivation, burnout, and work discipline on employee performance at PT Victory Retalindo Central Jakarta. Employees are strategic assets in an organization, and the success of a company is largely determined by the quality of employee performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. The sample consisted of 60 respondents who are employees of PT Victory Retalindo. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, and data analysis employed validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, as well as partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing. The results show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, burnout does not have a significant effect, but work discipline has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, work motivation, burnout, and discipline have a significant effect on employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance for companies to pay attention to internal employee factors to improve overall performance. Abstract

The application of sharia economic principles in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector is a crucial aspect in creating fair, ethical, and sustainable business practices. This study aims to examine the extent to which sharia economic principles are applied in the operational activities of the Mie Pangsit Lisa MSME, located in Medan City. The analysis focuses on the production process, transaction mechanisms, pricing systems, and work relationship patterns between business owners and employees. This study used a field research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from primary and secondary sources through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically to describe the actual conditions in the field. The results indicate that the Mie Pangsit Lisa MSME has implemented most of the values and principles of sharia economics, particularly in the aspects of product halalness, transaction honesty, and price fairness. However, several aspects still require strengthening, particularly in the understanding and application of sharia principles more comprehensively to achieve optimal sharia principles.

Abstract

Abstrak. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and compensation on employee performance at PT. Anugerah Autocentra Abadi Jakarta. The background of this study is the importance of the role of leaders in directing and motivating employees, and providing appropriate compensation to improve performance. The method used is descriptive quantitative with saturated sample technique, involving 60 respondents. Data analysis includes validity, reliability, classical assumptions, simple and multiple linear regression, correlation coefficient, determination, and hypothesis testing. The results show that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient of 67.1% and t count > t table (10.876 > 2.001). Compensation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient of 44.2% and t count > t table (6.772 > 2.001). Simultaneously, leadership style and compensation have a significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient of 68.4%, while the remaining 31.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding confirms that the application of appropriate leadership style and the provision of fair compensation can improve employee performance optimally. Abstract

Learning the hijaiyah letters in early childhood is a crucial stage in establishing the foundation for Quranic reading skills. Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) teachers play a strategic role because the educational process in this age group requires an approach that aligns with the child's developmental characteristics. This article aims to explain the role of PIAUD teachers in developing hijaiyah reading skills, including appropriate learning methods, media that can be used, and supporting and inhibiting factors encountered in the field. Theoretical studies and discussion indicate that the teacher's role includes planner, facilitator, guide, motivator, and evaluator. The use of play-based approaches, multisensory methods, a religious learning environment, and collaboration between schools and parents are key to the effectiveness of hijaiyah learning in PIAUD. This article is expected to serve as a reference for teachers, PIAUD students, and educational institutions in improving the quality of Islamic learning in early childhood.

Abstract

Corruption in the funding of social assistance continues to be a serious issue because of its significant impact on Indonesia's economy. This study aims to analyze the effects of corrupt practices in aid funds on three main aspects of the national economy, namely economic growth, fiscal stability, and socio-economic inequality. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, combining literature review and analysis of current cases. The results of the study show that corruption in aid funds not only causes losses to state finances but also has long-term effects that can hinder economic growth, disrupt fiscal balance, and widen social inequality, potentially reducing the rights of the poor as beneficiaries. It can be seen from the analysis of several cases, ranging from the misuse of Covid-19 aid funds, the Indonesia Smart program, disaster aid, to the public housing program, which show evidence of state losses reaching trillions of rupiah. Therefore, these findings emphasize that aid funds can have a significant and layered negative impact on the national economy. For this reason, comprehensive improvements are needed in managing aid funds by strengthening the oversight system, increasing transparency, utilizing advanced digital technology, and imposing strict sanctions on perpetrators of corruption to prevent them from committing it again.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments have spread to all aspects of human life, one of which is the economic sector. This growth has encouraged diversity in shopping patterns among different age groups born in different eras. This study aims to describe and compare the characteristics of online shopping behavior among Millennials, Generation Z, and Generation Alpha. This study focuses on four indicators: platform preferences, shopping motivations, payment methods, and brand loyalty. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed to respondents from the three generations. The use of e-commerce as a place for online shopping is motivated by cheaper prices and features such as promos, discounts, and so on. In terms of payment methods, Cash on Delivery (COD) is the preferred choice for all generations. The findings of this study show that online shopping characteristics between generations have several similarities, but there are differences in the level of platform usage and brand loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Emotional Intelligence (X₁) and Work Pressure (X₂) on Employee Performance (Y) at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of South Tangerang City. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive approach with an associative method. The population in this study consisted of all employees, with a total sample of 67 respondents determined through questionnaire distribution.The partial test results (t-test) show that the Emotional Intelligence (X₁) variable has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, with a t-count of 5.685 > t-table of 1.997 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The Work Pressure (X₂) variable also has a significant effect on Employee Performance, with a t-count of 3.090 > t-table of 1.997 and a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. The simultaneous test results (F-test) indicate that Emotional Intelligence and Work Pressure together have a significant effect on Employee Performance, with an F-count of 21.612 > F-table of 3.991 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.635 shows a strong relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Work Pressure with Employee Performance. Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 0.384 indicates that 38.4% of the variation in Employee Performance can be explained by both variables, while the remaining 61.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Thus, improving emotional intelligence and effectively managing work pressure can contribute significantly to enhancing employee performance in public institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies of tofu products implemented by small businesses in the Sari Rejo area, North Sumatra, and how these strategies contribute to increasing customer interest. Tofu is a daily food staple with high consumption in urban areas. However, high levels of competition require businesses to develop innovative marketing strategies that align with the characteristics of the local community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study describes the marketing practices used and the factors that support the success of tofu product marketing in the area. The results indicate that effective marketing strategies include improving product quality, implementing competitive pricing, an interpersonal marketing approach, utilizing simple digital media, and a direct-to-consumer distribution strategy. This combination of strategies has been proven to increase customer interest and expand market reach.
