Abstract

Industri tapioka menghasilkan limbah cair dengan beban pencemar tinggi yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan limbah cair industri tapioka sebagai bahan baku biogas di PT Tedco Agri Makmur, Tanjung Ratu Ilir, Way Pengubuan, Lampung Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi proses pengolahan limbah serta data operasional instalasi biogas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengolahan limbah cair melalui sistem fermentasi anaerobik menggunakan lagoon digester mampu menghasilkan biogas dengan kandungan metana yang cukup tinggi serta menurunkan nilai Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) hingga mencapai 81%. Pemanfaatan biogas sebagai sumber energi terbarukan memberikan manfaat lingkungan dan ekonomi, terutama dalam pengurangan pencemaran serta penghematan penggunaan bahan bakar fosil.

Abstract

One visual innovation widely applied in library collection management and information retrieval programs is color classification, which can accelerate the search and navigation of library materials. This study aims to examine the challenges and innovations of color classification in enhancing accessibility for color-blind users in library environments. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this research, using a literature review method that analyzed national and international scholarly sources published between 2015 and 2020. The findings indicate that the use of color as the primary classification marker without supporting alternative elements can hinder collection retrieval, spatial navigation, and the independence of color-blind users. In addition, the absence of inclusive design standards and limitations in technical regulations are identified as the two main barriers to implementing accessible color classification systems. This study identifies several inclusive innovations, including the integration of text, visual symbols, high-contrast color schemes, QR codes, and the application of universal design principles in library classification and navigation systems. The study concludes that the development of inclusive color classification not only improves accessibility for color-blind users but also enhances service quality and strengthens the image of libraries as equitable, disability-friendly, and user-centered information institutions.

Abstract

The development of globalization and artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about significant changes in the world of education. Technology has made it easier to access information, accelerated the learning process, and expanded learning opportunities beyond the boundaries of time and space. However, this progress has also given rise to serious problems in the form of a decline in morality among students and educators. This phenomenon is reflected in a decline in academic honesty, an increase in digital plagiarism, a weakened sense of responsibility, and a diminished respect for teachers and others. The influx of foreign cultural values, coupled with the uncontrolled use of technology, makes education vulnerable to shifts in moral values and character. The decline in morality is not only caused by technological advances, but also by weak character education, a lack of role models, and minimal oversight of the ethical use of AI in learning activities. In many cases, students prioritize the end result over the learning process, while educators often struggle to instill moral values amidst the demands of an achievement-oriented education system. This situation indicates that modern education has not fully achieved a balance between intellectual and moral intelligence. Therefore, a renewed educational paradigm is needed that re-emphasizes the importance of ethics, responsibility, and integrity amidst technological advancements. Integrating character education into all aspects of learning, ethical digital literacy, and exemplary behavior from teachers and parents are key to maintaining the morality of  the younger generation. Therefore, the use of AI and globalization should not be a threat to human values, but rather a means to shape students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also morally upright, possessing integrity, and possessing a strong moral conscience.

Abstract

As a company engaged in fastener products, PT XYZ always prioritizes product quality. Through its training center, the company provides training for new employees, existing employees, and factory visitors who want to better understand the fastener product manufacturing process. Production machines, especially heat treatment machines, operate on a large scale, making it impossible to use them directly for basic training. The purpose of this study is to improve learning effectiveness by creating miniatures as an ergonomic learning medium for heat treatment. The EFD (Ergonomic Function Deployment) method is a user-centered design product development method that combines the principles of QFD (Quality Function Deployment) and ergonomics. Based on the results of the study, the highest priority scale was found in the attributes of miniatures that were able to represent heat treatment machines close to real conditions and display the sequence of processes in accordance with actual conditions. The success of the heat treatment learning media design was achieved by the achievement of the learning objectives, namely that users were able to understand the heat treatment process flow comprehensively and were able to operate the miniatures safely and easily.

Abstract

Kemasan berperan penting dalam meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM, baik sebagai pelindung produk maupun media informasi dan promosi. UMKM Kripik Belut Bu Sri di Klaten masih menggunakan kemasan sederhana yang kurang menarik dan belum optimal dalam menjaga kualitas produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang desain kemasan berdasarkan kebutuhan konsumen menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terhadap 35 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan House of Quality (HoQ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut utama yang diprioritaskan konsumen meliputi kekuatan kemasan, kejelasan informasi, desain visual, serta fitur penutup ulang. Rancangan kemasan baru diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya tarik produk dan daya saing UMKM Kripik Belut Bu Sri. Kata Kunci: desain kemasan, kripik belut, QFD, UMKM.

Abstract

Abstract. The cracker drying process at the Kerupuk Subur MSME is still carried out manually with non-ergonomic work postures, such as bending, lifting, and reaching repeatedly, which have the potential to cause musculoskeletal complaints. This study aims to identify worker complaints, analyze the level of work posture risk, and design an ergonomic drying table to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The methods used include the Nordic Body Map (NBM) to identify worker complaints, Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) to assess work posture risks, and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to translate worker needs into technical specifications for table design. The NBM results show dominant complaints in the waist, back, shoulders, wrists, and knees with a high risk category, while the REBA results in the initial condition obtained a score of 7 (moderate risk) which then decreased to 1 (very low risk) after the ergonomic table design was carried out. The application of QFD resulted in a drying table design that suits worker needs, including aspects of comfort, strength, flexibility, and ease of movement. The results of this study indicate that ergonomic drying tables can improve work posture and significantly reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Abstract

Pancasila sebagai dasar negara dan ideologi bangsa Indonesia memiliki peran yang sangat fundamental dalam membentuk arah kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan tinggi yang menjadi wadah pembentukan karakter generasi muda. Dalam konteks perguruan tinggi, dosen tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pengajar, tetapi juga sebagai teladan moral dan agen transformasi nilai-nilai Pancasila kepada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali secara mendalam perspektif dosen Fakultas Hukum Universitas Bandar Lampung terhadap berbagai tantangan dan pengalaman yang mereka hadapi dalam proses internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila di lingkungan kampus. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi langsung, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dosen memandang Pancasila bukan sekadar simbol ideologis, tetapi juga sebagai pedoman etis yang harus dihidupkan dalam praktik akademik dan kehidupan kampus sehari-hari. Meskipun demikian, upaya internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila menghadapi beragam tantangan, antara lain pengaruh budaya global yang cenderung individualistik, rendahnya kesadaran mahasiswa terhadap makna substantif Pancasila, serta keterbatasan dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila ke dalam kurikulum dan kegiatan pembelajaran. Para dosen menyadari pentingnya memperkuat keteladanan, komunikasi nilai, dan pembiasaan etis dalam proses pendidikan agar mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami Pancasila secara konseptual, tetapi juga menginternalisasikannya dalam sikap, perilaku, dan tindakan nyata. Dengan demikian, internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila di perguruan tinggi menjadi proses berkelanjutan yang menuntut komitmen bersama antara dosen, mahasiswa, dan institusi pendidikan untuk mewujudkan karakter bangsa yang berintegritas, berkeadilan, dan berjiwa kebangsaan.

Abstract

Traditional medicine is a health practice based on hereditary customs that has been legally recognized in Indonesia. It is regulated under Law No. 36 of 2009 on Health, Government Regulation No. 103 of 2014, and Health Law No. 17 of 2023, which governs traditional medicine as a legitimate health practice in Indonesia. To ensure the safety and quality of services, the Health Law establishes licensing and competency standards for Traditional Health Practitioners, as well as strict regulations regarding the practice and use of traditional medicine. The method used in this study is a literature review from a single electronic database, namely Google Scholar. This study is based on the analysis of 5,490 clinical articles and research studies published between 2021 and 2025. From the four articles used in this literature review, all four indicate a significant relationship regarding Regulation and Supervision of Traditional Medicine: Analysis of the Implementation of the Health Law and Competency Standards for Traditional Practitioners.

Abstract

Pesantren, as Islamic educational institutions, have a strategic mission in building the character and faith of young generations. They function not only as educational centers amid the challenges of globalization and moral crisis, but also as institutions for instilling virtuous values. Pesantren focus on the formation of moral character, spiritual strength, and a meaningful life orientation. This study aims to examine how pesantren play a significant role in instilling the value of barakah (blessing) in young generations and to develop a conceptual model of its internalization process. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were obtained from books, scholarly journals, and previous studies related to barakah, pesantren, and character education. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis using a thematic approach to identify ideas, patterns, and the ways pesantren contribute to the cultivation of barakah values. The findings indicate that pesantren instill the value of barakah through a distinctive educational system that includes the central role of the kiai, scholarly and spiritual traditions, a culture of discipline, and a religious and collective environment. The internalization of values occurs through role modeling, habituation, and students’ lived experiences, so that barakah is not only understood theoretically but is also embodied as a life orientation. This process contributes to the formation of young generations with strong moral character, spiritual depth, moral resilience, and a meaningful and beneficial life orientation. This study proposes a model of the pesantren’s role in instilling the value of barakah through the following sequence: Islamic literature → pesantren system → internalization process → character of young generations. This model affirms that pesantren can serve as a foundation for character and spiritual education in building a morally grounded young generation.

Abstract

Abstract: This study analyzes the use of formal and informal language in classroom listening comprehension among second-semester students of the Tadris Bahasa Inggris (TBI) program at UIN Sumatera Utara. Listening comprehension is a crucial skill in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning, and students’ understanding of spoken input may vary depending on language registers used during classroom interaction. This study employed a descriptive quantitative research design involving 25 TBI 2 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a close-ended questionnaire distributed via Google Forms and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies and percentages. The findings indicate that most students are able to distinguish between formal and informal language used by lecturers during listening activities. Students generally perceive informal language as easier to understand, while formal language remains comprehensible and appropriate in academic contexts. Classroom interaction, intonation, and shifts in language style also support students in identifying levels of language formality. These findings suggest that a balanced use of formal and informal language may support effective listening comprehension in EFL classrooms.
