Abstract

TikTok and Shopee are popular applications influencing cosmetic purchasing decisions among young individuals. This study examines their impact on cosmetic purchasing behavior among students in the Beauty and Cosmetic Education program. The objective is to objectively understand the influence of TikTok and Shopee on cosmetic purchasing decisions. A quantitative survey method was employed, targeting students from the 2021 and 2022 cohorts. Results indicate a significant impact of TikTok and Shopee on cosmetic purchasing behavior. Sampling utilized total sampling, with questionnaires as data collection instruments. Statistical analysis tested hypotheses regarding TikTok and Shopee's influence on purchasing decisions. Findings confirm significant effects on cosmetic purchasing. This research implies significant implications for understanding TikTok and Shopee's influence on cosmetic purchasing among Beauty and Cosmetic Education students.

Abstract

Visual impairment is a general term used to describe partial or complete loss of vision function. This research uses a qualitative approach. Observation results show that by implementing appropriate teaching methods, blind children can learn effectively. Good interaction between teachers and students, as well as the use of braille and audio visual aids, greatly contribute to a positive learning process.

Abstract

Phonetics is a branch of linguistics that studies the sounds of language, including how these sounds are produced, transmitted and received by listeners. In Arabic, phonetics has an important role in understanding how to pronounce sounds correctly. Arabic has a distinctive sound system consisting of vowels, consonants and semivowels, which are produced through various makhraj (places where sounds come out) in the human speech apparatus. Vowel sounds are produced without air resistance, while consonants involve resistance to certain speech organs. Apart from that, Arabic also has letters which are divided into hams (without vibration of the vocal cords) and jahr (with vibration of the vocal cords). Arabic phonetics is very important for improving pronunciation and understanding the meaning of words or sentences, because differences in pronunciation can affect the intended meaning. Therefore, phonetics is an important basis for understanding and practicing Arabic correctly.

Abstract

The era of AI and automation technologies has fundamentally changed the structure of jobs and skill needs in the global market, driving significant transformation in the digital business world. This research aims to analyze the impact of these technological developments on the jobs and skills required by the modern workforce. Using the literature review method, this research evaluates various academic sources and related industry reports. The findings show that there is a shift away from routine work towards jobs based on analytical, creative and interpersonal skills, with a growing demand for expertise in data management, programming and emotional intelligence. In addition, the research reveals a significant skills gap, which could exacerbate socio-economic inequality if not addressed. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of investing in retraining and workforce skills development to support adaptation to technological transformation, as well as the need for collaboration between government, educational institutions and industry in designing inclusive and sustainable policies.

Abstract

Marriage is not only about forming a family that occurs because of the union of a man and a woman, but marriage is an innate bond between a man and a woman as husband and wife with the aim of forming a happy and eternal family (household) based on the One Godhead. It is a problem if marriage is the desire of each prospective couple but is hindered due to religious differences, In practice interfaith marriage is not a new thing and has caused many pros and cons in the community. This paper aims to find out the legal postulates of interfaith marriage both in terms of Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. Using juridical-normative legal research methods, this article will review these contradictions. The results of the study show that interfaith marriage, both in terms of Islamic law and positive law, is prohibited.

Abstract

Machine learning has revolutionized various industrial sectors by giving systems the ability to learn and make decisions based on data without the need for explicit programming. This technology plays an increasingly important role in the era of big data, helping to solve various business and operational challenges. This study aims to explore the literature related to the application of machine learning in various industrial fields, identify advantages, challenges, and direct future research. The research method in the form of a literature review was conducted by collecting and analyzing 15 international journals in the last 10 years that are relevant to this topic. The results of the study show that machine learning has a significant impact in the fields of health, finance, and transportation. Techniques such as deep learning and reinforcement learning have expanded the scope of implementation, although challenges such as interpretability, data bias, and computational requirements remain major obstacles. With continued development, machine learning opens up great opportunities for industrial transformation, although it must still pay attention to ethical and desirable aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the illocutionary speech acts used by the teacher in the Indonesian language learning videos on the YouTube channel "Suparti Timbul." Illocutionary speech acts consist of several types, including assertive, directive, declarative, commissive, and expressive, each playing an important role in the learning process. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to identify and interpret the various speech acts found in the learning videos. The results show that the teacher uses assertive speech acts to convey information, directive speech acts to give instructions and motivate students, declarative speech acts to create a conducive learning atmosphere, commissive speech acts to make commitments regarding the learning material, and expressive speech acts to express positive expectations. These speech acts are crucial for fostering interactive communication and enhancing the efficacy of online education. Based on the study's findings, educators and others who create educational content are advised to focus more on the proper use of speech acts to make sure the message is clear and useful for enhancing student comprehension.

Abstract

Speech act is one of the elements or components of pragmatics that involves speakers and listeners. Speech acts are classified into 5 major groups, including: representative speech acts (assertive speech acts), commissive speech acts, directive speech acts, expressive speech acts, declarative speech acts. In this research, we will only discuss one type of speech act, namely representative speech act. Representative speech acts are speech acts that describe a situation, convey knowledge, or information to speech partners. Representative speech acts are not only found in direct speech. However, you can also find it on social media accounts such as YouTube. The purpose of this research is to find out the typical speech acts in some YouTube playlist videos of the Physics channel Pura-Pura Tau. One of them is in a video entitled “Nonrenewable Energy Class 10 Independent Curriculum Definition, Sources, Examples and Benefits”. The method that researchers use is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique in this article uses the listening technique which consists of two techniques, namely the free listening technique and the note technique. The results of this study are in the form of speech acts of telling, suggesting, stating, explaining. This research will help readers interpret and understand representative speech acts from various utterances spoken in social life.

Abstract

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by trichomonas vaginalis that affects both women and men. In pregnant women who do not maintain personal hygiene, it can cause trichomonas vaginalis infection which results in premature rupture of membranes, premature birth, babies of mothers with trichomoniasis are more likely to have birth weights less than normal. Preterm birth While being born too early and of low birth weight are the major causes of infant deaths. The research was perfomed at the Mamajang Health Centre between March 20 and April 6, 2023. This was a laboratory observational study conducted in order to analyze the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis in the urine of pregnant women. The sample sizes taken are the sample in this study were 35 urine the samples of pregnant women at the Mamajang Health Center with purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of research conducted microscopically, it can be concluded that on positive sample was found in the urine of pregnant women with a percentage of 2.85%. Examination of urine pH, turbidity and the number of leukocytes in the sediment in the urine to see the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis urine, pregnant women.

Abstract

Green tea is widely known as a beverage rich in antioxidants with numerous health benefits. However, excessive consumption may have negative effects, particularly on gut health. This article discusses the impact of excessive green tea consumption on stomach irritation, mineral absorption disruption, gut microbiota imbalance, and caffeine-related side effects. It concludes that moderate consumption of green tea (2-3 cups per day) is safe and beneficial. Proper consumption management can maximize green tea benefits without adverse effects on gut health.
