Abstract

This study aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature on the impact of cashless payment policy on economic growth in Nigeria. The paper is designed to provide a first broad overview for academic researchers and provide a practical financial policy for determining the impact of cashless payment policy on economy growth. This study conducted a critical literature review (survey) on the relation between cashless payment policy and economic growth.  This research was explorative, descriptive and was based on documentary review. The study applied qualitative text data analysis approach and examined documents and systematically interprets the information so as to allow the researcher to draw inference about the issues of interest. Thus, the identified articles were screened using the content-centric analysis technique so as to align with the objective of the study by searching for suitable keywords in line with the theme of the study. Hence, the study was carried out systematically through an article search engine using the keywords "cashless policy" and "economic growth,". Having evaluated the outcome of several study from the review, the study finds that virtually all the studies agreed that cashless payment policy has significant impact on economy growth of a country. However, due to different economic structure and levels of technology adoption as well as other related factors as explained in this study, the positive impact of cashless payments on economy growth in Nigeria may not be generalizable to European countries and other member countries such as G7, G20, OECD and CPMI as reviewed in the study.

Abstract

Carbon Footprint is a leading indicator that indicates the amount of area and resources needed to absorb CO2 emissions from economic and human waste to reduce industrial by-products and human-generated waste. Rapid economic growth, population increase, as well as human economic activities, have had a negative impact on the environment, characterized by an increase in carbon dioxide emissions. In recent years, ASEAN countries have faced significant carbon footprint problems. The purpose of this study is to analyse the influence of economic growth variables, exports, imports, population and energy consumption on carbon dioxide emissions. The type of data used is secondary data with panel data for the period 2012-2022. The analysis method used in this research is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of this study are that the economic growth variable has no effect on carbon dioxide emissions, then the Export, Import and Population variables have a positive and significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions. While the energy consumption variable has a negative and significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions in ASEAN countries.

Abstract

The application of mathematics in economics provides an important analytical framework for understanding the relationship between consumption, savings, and income. This article discusses consumption and savings functions based on classical economic theories such as The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money by J.M. Keynes as well as the permanent income theory by Milton Friedman. The consumption function is formulated as C=a+bY, where consumption is affected by national income and initial consumption. Meanwhile, the savings function is formulated as S=-a+(1-b)Y, which shows the remaining income after consumption. This research uses a descriptive approach and literature review by utilizing quantitative and qualitative data. The analysis shows that consumption and savings are closely related to household income. In addition, this article also explains the concept of market equilibrium, which is achieved when demand equals supply (Qd=Qs). The findings confirm that the application of mathematics can help analyze and solve various economic problems effectively and measurably.

Abstract

This study analyzes the potential and challenges in developing Waqf Sukuk, particularly Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS), as an Islamic social finance instrument in Indonesia. CWLS, which integrates cash waqf with state sukuk, offers great potential in a safe and impactful Islamic investment alternative, as well as expanding the investor base, and mobilizing funds for social projects and infrastructure projects that can empower communities, supported by existing regulations and examples of success in other countries as supporting facts. However, the challenges are quite severe, which include low Islamic financial literacy, religious dimensions that need to be strengthened, and limited development of supporting ecosystems. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study to provide comprehensive policy recommendations to encourage community participation in CWLS to realize its strategic role in sustainable development in Indonesia and to become a global model in the development of Islamic social finance. Abstract

This research discusses the concept of mudharib (fund manager) responsibility for losses in mudharabah contracts from the perspective of muamalah fiqh and its implementation in contemporary Islamic banking practices. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that in principle, mudharib is not responsible for losses as long as the losses are not the result of negligence, breach of contract, or betrayal of trust. However, if there is an act of ta'addi (abuse of authority), taqsir (negligence), or mukhalafah ash-syarth (violation of the contract), then the mudharib is obliged to bear the losses incurred. The views of scholars from the four schools of fiqh agree on this principle, although there are variations in the aspects of proof. In modern Islamic banking practice, there are developments in the form of applying guarantees and strict supervision as a risk mitigation effort. This concept must still be carried out in accordance with the principles of sharia and maqashid sharia in order to maintain justice, trust, and protection of property.

Abstract

Sharia tourism, which includes aspects of halal food, worship facilities, and governance is one of the strategic sectors in the development of the national sharia economy. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the guidelines for organizing sharia-based tourism have been implemented in the Indonesian tourism industry, by referring to the DSN-MUI Fatwa Number 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained from literature studies, field observations, and interviews with tourism industry players. The results of the study indicate that the application of Islamic values ??in the tourism sector has made partial progress, but has not been fully integrated into the regulatory system and business practices. The main challenges include low sharia literacy, limited competent human resources, and minimal technical policy support. This study recommends strengthening derivative regulations, HR training, and digital-based promotional innovation as strategies for developing sustainable sharia tourism. This study contributes to the discourse on strengthening the sharia economy through an ethical and inclusive tourism sector.

Abstract

This article explores the importance of building a sakinah (tranquil) household based on the values of the Qur'an and Sunnah as the foundational pillars of Muslim family life. A household is not merely a biological or administrative union, but a spiritual institution aimed at achieving tranquility (sakinah), love (mawaddah), and compassion (rahmah). Using a qualitative method with a literature-based approach, the authors analyze classical and contemporary Islamic sources to offer practical guidance for establishing a harmonious family. The findings reveal that many challenges in modern Muslim families stem from a lack of understanding and application of Islamic values in daily life. Therefore, value education, effective communication, and spiritual awareness are crucial in building a strong family unit emotionally, socially, and religiously. This article aims to make a meaningful contribution to the development of Muslim families and foster a morally upright society guided by divine principles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept and implementation of multi-service financing and ultra-micro financing in Islamic financial institutions. Multi-service financing uses the ijarah contract. This allows customers to benefit from a service, while ultra-micro financing is intended for micro-enterprises that have limited ceilings. This journal uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to understand the theory and related information. The results of the study indicate that multi-service and ultra-micro financing must be in accordance with sharia principles and avoid parties who oppress and are oppressed. Multi-service financing includes various products such as education financing, hajj, and umrah, with a service fee (ujrah) agreed upon in advance. Ultra-micro financing itself is a continuation of the social assistance program distributed through Non-Bank Financial Institutions (LKBB) with the aim of making micro-enterprises independent.
