Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is a scientific journal published by Indonesian Journal Publisher. PJPI publishes four issues annually in the months of October, January, April, and July. The focus and scope of Jurnal Pendidikan Islam include research and scholarly discussion concerning Islamic Education in Academic disciplines and Institutions, focusing on the advancement of scholarship both formal and non-formal education. Abstract

The discussion method is highly essential to be implemented in education with the aim of increasing students' motivation, leading them towards independence and responsibility. So far, fiqh learning has been carried out in a monotonous manner, involving memorization of theories, which has resulted in student boredom during the learning process. Therefore, the Madrasah Aliyah has transformed this method by incorporating the discussion method to address cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This research employs a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique is inductive analysis, and data validity is ensured through source triangulation. Findings from this research indicate that the discussion method is capable of transforming students' knowledge from passive to active, thus improving fiqh learning outcomes. Additionally, the discussion model influences student motivation in enjoyable learning, making the material easier to remember and applicable in daily life.

Abstract

Students, as academic actors, have a responsibility to fulfill their academic obligations, which include learning and completing academic tasks. The process of fulfilling these obligations and working on academic tasks requires consistency, understanding of priorities, and effective time management. If students are not aware of their responsibilities and lack these three elements, it can lead to the phenomenon of academic procrastination or delaying the completion of tasks. Therefore, it is necessary to have values that can serve as self-control and foster a sense of responsibility. The values that are believed to act as control mechanisms for students against the phenomenon of academic procrastination are religious and spiritual values. Hence, the researcher attempts to investigate the relationship between religious values and academic procrastination. The aim is for religious values to reduce students' academic procrastination. This study employs a quantitative research approach. The research intends to determine the correlation between students' religiosity levels and academic procrastination at MBS Al Mukhtar Watukebo in the even semester of 2022/2023. The research subjects consist of 58 students from MBS Al Mukhtar who were selected as research samples using a random sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaires distributed to the 58 students as respondents. The research analysis employs the Pearson product-moment correlation test. The research findings indicate that students' levels of religiosity have a negative correlation with academic procrastination, as evidenced by a coefficient value greater than the critical value (r > r table). Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This implies that there is a correlation between students' religiosity and academic procrastination at MBS Al Mukhtar Watukebo.

Abstract

Education aims to improve the quality of human resources. One of the efforts to enhance the quality of education is by changing the learning patterns. In schools, the learning process still revolves around the teacher with a conventional model. Therefore, the learning pattern needs to be shifted towards student-centered learning. One of the efforts to improve students' learning outcomes is for teachers to implement a cooperative learning model, such as the Student Teams Achievement Division model. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of the Student Teams Achievement Division model on students' learning outcomes. The researcher used a quantitative research method with simple linear regression analysis by distributing questionnaires to 38 eighth-grade students. Based on the research results, it is evident that the influence of the Student Teams Achievement Division model on students' learning outcomes is 57.8%. Hence, 42.2% of students' learning outcomes are influenced by variables outside the scope of this study. In this research, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, indicating that variable X (the Student Teams Achievement Division model) significantly affects variable Y (Students' Learning Outcomes) by 57.8%, categorized as a strong influence.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of character education based on multiculturalism at Al-Muwahideen School in Thailand. This qualitative study involves interviews with teachers and students, observations during multicultural education, and the analysis of documents related to student behavior and daily grades. The research results identified four forms of character education implementation at the school, including collective prayer activities, the promotion of universal attitudes among religious communities, the internalization of tolerance values, and the use of lecture and practice methods in teaching. Positive impacts observed include the development of mutual respect among students, the creation of a school climate that promotes learning and tolerance, and the establishment of harmony in the learning process. Supporting factors for multicultural education include the community environment, the curriculum, and facilities, while differences in students' understanding of subjects and their emotional maturity level serve as inhibiting factors.

Abstract

Lately, there have been numerous marriage cases in Indonesia, including underage marriages, domestic violence, partner selection without proper knowledge of marriage. Therefore, it is important for all segments of society to be aware of the legal aspects of marriage for an individual. Hence, a study has been conducted with the theme "Marriage Law in Islam: Comparative Analysis According to 4 Mazhabs." The methodology used in this writing is a literature review. The results of this study reveal that there are fundamentally five categories of marriage laws in Islam: obligatory, recommended, prohibited, disliked, and permissible. Based on the contextual analysis by scholars from the four Mazhabs worldwide, they provide reasons for why marriage can be obligatory, recommended, prohibited, disliked, and even permissible. Specifically, the Shafi'i Mazhab presents four marriage laws: obligatory, recommended, disliked, and permissible, the Hanbali Mazhab also outlines four marriage laws: obligatory, recommended, prohibited, and permissible, while the Maliki and Hanafi Mazhabs present five marriage laws: obligatory, recommended, disliked, prohibited, and permissible.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is considered one of the main pillars in shaping Islamic character among students. This education involves conscious efforts to convey, guide, and teach the values of Islam so that students can understand, internalize, and practice Islamic teachings in their daily lives. This article utilizes the library research method, drawing on various journal references and books that discuss Islamic Religious Education as a character builder. In this context, Islamic Religious Education is expected to play a significant role in shaping a society with strong moral responsibility and Islamic character. It is a long-term investment to create individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess noble character in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

A leader is a person who stands in front of every institution or organization he leads, a leader who is trustworthy, sincere, visionary and always makes changes for the better. In the scope of the school, the principal is a leader who is digugu and imitated every action and behavior. This research uses a literature study method that analyzes several journal references as a reference in determining a good school principal. The purpose of this research is to study and analyze the results of previous findings related to the role of the principal in motivating the habituation of dhuha prayer and fardhu prayer in congregation to improve the discipline of students. Based on the results of the reference analysis, it shows that a principal has an important role in the running of a program held at school. Doing the habituation of dhuha prayer and fardhu prayer together with direct monitoring by the principal is very effective so that students run it with discipline.

Abstract

The Batagak Penghulu tradition in Minangkabau can be considered as a form of integration between traditional and Islamic values, where Islamic principles are the basis for implementing this tradition. In this tradition, religious values and Islamic teachings are reflected in various aspects, such as the election of leaders, the deliberation process, and cooperation in order to achieve goodness and justice. The process of selecting the headman involves the participation of all components of society, demonstrating the principle of deliberation recommended in Islam. The chosen leader must meet leadership criteria in accordance with Islamic teachings, such as being honest, trustworthy, wise, and able to convey teachings well. The Qur'an also emphasizes the importance of just leadership and dual responsibility towards Allah SWT and society. The concept of deliberation, explained in the Qur'an, provides the basis for decision making in the traditional Batagak Penghulu process. This deliberation process not only reflects traditional values, but is also in line with Islamic principles which encourage justice, togetherness and problem solving through consensus. Through qualitative research methods and content analysis, this research provides an in-depth understanding of the integration between custom and Islam in the Batagak Penghulu tradition. The Batagak Penghulu tradition in Minangkabau reflects the harmonization between traditional values and Islamic teachings. The process of appointing the headman, deliberation, leadership and cooperation in this tradition shows harmony with the Islamic principles contained in the Al-Qur'an. This tradition is not only a unique cultural heritage, but also a manifestation of community life that is firmly rooted in Islamic religious values.

Abstract

Islamic education planning has become a crucial element in efforts to enhance relevant and high-quality education in line with the current era's developments. In this modern age, the traditional paradigm in Islamic education planning is insufficient to meet contemporary demands. The new paradigm aims as a step towards the renewal and improvement of Islamic education. The approach of the new paradigm in Islamic education planning can encompass various aspects, including: First, a broader and more efficient integration of information technology. Second, the development of a more contemporary curriculum that is relevant to global challenges. Third, active participation in the community and the implementation of educational plans. Fourth, assigning a greater role to Islamic education in creating positive transformations in the education system. With the introduction of the new paradigm, the goal is to enhance the quality and values of Islamic education.

Abstract

This research analyzes how qaul qadim and how ijtihad are viewed by Imam Syafi'i which is studied from several aspects, namely from historical, social and Islamic legal aspects. This research has the main aim of examining how qaul qadim is from a historical perspective, namely how history was formed and the birth of qaul qadim and then how social changes and Islamic law have affected qaul qadim which was mandated by one of the fiqh scholars, namely Imam Syafi'i, in establishing Islamic law. This research is research with a normative theological approach, namely a theological-normative approach, namely by looking at the texts of the Koran and al-Hadith which are the main sources in determining Islamic law and this type of research. The sociological approach is research whose object of study is seen in terms of different fatwa factors. different to accommodate legal problems that arise at this time and require ijtihad, then Islamic law will do it. This research shows that qaul qadim and ijtihad carried out by Imam Syafi'i are influenced by various factors in their determination, including social, political, cultural, geographical and scientific factors which influence the dynamics of legal determinations carried out by mujtahids like Imam Syafi'i.
