Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that children's fine motor skills are not yet optimal, such as children's fine motor skills not being able to carry out movements that include small muscles with eye and hand coordination, for example folding, sticking, cutting, pinning and tying shoelaces. The purpose of this study is to gather data regarding the impact of banana leaf paper toys on young children's fine motor skills. In this study, experimental methodologies are combined with a quantitative methodology. All 115 students from the West Pasama Pembina State Kindergarten, who were split up into six classrooms, participated in this study. The testing method makes use of target samples, which are 15 kids from each of classes B2 and B1. The data collection process is carried out through the use of tests, and data analysis is carried out through normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The pre-test and post-test results for the experimental group averaged pre-test 13.2 and post-test 17.73. Meanwhile, the pre-test and post-test results for the control group were 12.6 and post-test 14. This difference occurred because of the paper toy activities carried out in the experimental class in this paper toy activity children used paper which we usually encounter in everyday life. such as using banana leaf paper which comes from nature, children usually only use origami paper and in this paper toy activity children not only fold, but here children will carry out folding, cutting, sticking, and producing 3-dimensional shapes, such as animal shapes, fruit, and other shapes using banana leaf paper.

Abstract

The low understanding of students in understanding the material of changes in the form of objects in fourth-grade students at SDN 55/I Sridadi is the main problem of this research. This study aims to improve the understanding of fourth-grade students using concrete objects in teaching Science (IPA) material on changes in the form of objects at SDN 55/I Sridadi. The subjects of this study are fourth-grade students at SDN 55/I Sridadi. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and tests. This study uses quantitative research with an associative research type. After conducting research and data processing, the findings obtained are: Through evaluation questions at the end of each cycle of learning, it can determine students' learning outcomes. The initial values of pre-action students are still far below the determined KKM, which is 75. In action cycle 1, the average value is 70.53, which is still below the KKM, and action cycle 2 shows an average value of 89.87. Thus, learning using concrete objects can improve students' understanding of learning.

Abstract

Fine motor skills are acquired through practice and education. Defined as precision movements that use small muscles or specific body parts. From observations made at Iqra' Kindergarten, it can be seen that children's fine motor development is still lacking. The aim of this research is to evaluate the extent to which busy board media can help kindergarten students at TK Iqra' ANGKAL Hitam Padang in developing their fine motor skills. This research stands out for its emphasis on quantitative elements and using an experimental research approach. The researchers used word and action assessments to collect data. To test the data, homogeneity and normality checks were carried out. The average score of the experimental class was 14.17, while the control group's score was 12.75, based on research findings before and after the test. The significance level of 0.05 is somewhat exceeded by the two-sided p value of 0.009. As a result, we can say that the difference between the experimental group and the control group is statistically significant. As a result, there were striking differences between the experimental group and the control group. Thus, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is refuted and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is validated. The results showed that there were significant differences in the fine motor skills of experimental and control group children aged 5-6 years. This shows that the Media Busy Board is an effective way to help teenagers in this age range improve their fine motor skills.

Abstract

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the social-emotional development of children aged 3-4 years. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to explore social interactions, emotional regulation, and language development of children in their everyday contexts. The research methods involved direct observation, interviews with parents, and participatory observations during children's play activities. The collected data were analyzed using a thematic approach to identify patterns and key themes. The findings of the study revealed that children aged 3-4 years show a growing interest in interacting with peers. They begin to learn simple rules of group play and demonstrate the ability to share toys. Children's language skills also undergo significant development, as they are able to use longer and more complex sentences and express their feelings and thoughts through words. Furthermore, children at this age start developing self-awareness, recognizing their own identities, and understanding their roles within a group. They also begin to learn emotional regulation, although they may still struggle with controlling rapid mood changes. The capacity for empathy also begins to develop, as children show concern for injured or sad peers. This study provides a deeper understanding of the social-emotional development of children aged 3-4 years. The implications of these findings can inform early childhood education and care approaches, emphasizing the importance of positive social interactions, healthy emotional regulation, and the development of empathy skills during this period.

Abstract

The formation of prosocial attitudes in early childhood has a significant impact on the formation of their character and behavior in the future. The role of the model and environmental influences are important factors in this process. This research aims to explore more deeply the role of models and environmental influences in the formation of prosocial attitudes in young children, as well as to understand the challenges and obstacles faced in efforts to promote prosocial behavior in them. The research method used is qualitative research, by conducting direct observations and in-depth interviews with parents, teachers and children's caregivers. Data were analyzed thematically to identify key patterns and findings. The research results show that the role of models, whether from parents, teachers, or characters in the media, has a significant impact in shaping the prosocial attitudes of young children. The environment, including at home, at school and in the community, also plays an important role in shaping children's behavior. However, there are challenges such as negative media content and lack of awareness about the importance of promoting prosocial attitudes in early childhood. Therefore, a deep understanding of these factors is key in creating an environment that supports positive moral and social development in early childhood.
