Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of job description and workload on employee performance in a pharmaceutical company in Cikarang. The study emphasizes the importance of human resources in an organization and how a workload that does not align with the job description can affect employee satisfaction and performance. Initial observations conducted in one of the pharmaceutical company's departments in Cikarang indicate that the workload does not match the job description, leading to dissatisfaction and suboptimal performance. Job description is described as a crucial factor in an organization to acquire quality and productive employees. An imbalanced workload can result in fatigue and various negative impacts on employees. Employee performance is interpreted as the qualitative and quantitative output achieved by an employee in line with their responsibilities. Employee performance is influenced by the job description and workload they receive. The research methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a questionnaire for data collection. The analysis is conducted using Algorithm R Square and Bootstrapping Path Coefficients analysis in SmartPLS. The implications of the research include steps to enhance the quality of job descriptions and manage workloads, along with recommendations for workload equalization and continuous monitoring.

Abstract

This paper examines the utilization of the Small Group Activity (SGA) method using in manufacuring company as an example. The topic was selected due to issues identified by the company in the domain of quality management. The aim of the investigation is to provide theoretical concepts for the enhancement of group activities and their impact on organizational effectiveness. Methods of Continuous Improvement in the Philosophy of Kaizen (SGA) and a Presentation of the Practical Benefits of Its Implementation. The results indicate that it could be a highly effective method in solving problems and improving. Design and manufacture special pallet racks for Cover components. The elimination of non-value added (NVA) activities in the cover component setting process. Components received from suppliers can either be stored or directly allocated to production. Loading components from suppliers maximizes efficiency as it takes up minimal space and there will no longer be a build-up of waste from strapping plates after the setting process.

Abstract

The measurement of algae concentration in water plays a crucial role in environmental monitoring and assessment. Traditionally, this quantification has been accomplished using methods such as gravimetric analysis or spectrophotometry. However, in recent years, innovative approaches have emerged to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of this process. One such advancement is the utilization of RGB (Red-Green-Blue) light absorption as a means to estimate the concentration of algae. The RGB color model, a fundamental representation of colors, involves the blending of three primary light beams to produce a wide spectrum of colors. Building upon this principle, Benavides et al. (2015) conducted pioneering research that demonstrated the potential of RGB light absorption as a viable method for approximating algae concentration. In their study, Benavides et al. established a correlation between the component weights of the RGB color space and the presence of algae in water. This correlation was particularly evident when employing the YCbCr color space representation, which facilitated a quantitative link between the RGB values and algae concentration. This innovative approach hinged on the selection of a suitable RGB light sensor. The researchers opted for the Arduino KY-016 3-color LED module, a cost-effective solution that seamlessly integrated an RGB LED and a light-to-voltage converter, based on the Arduino UNO R3 platform. The implementation of this low-cost device opened up new avenues for estimating algae concentration with remarkable accuracy. By leveraging the RGB light sensor's capabilities, the researchers were able to establish a practical framework for estimating algae concentration that holds potential for widespread application. This innovation carries significant implications for environmental monitoring, as it offers a streamlined and accessible method for assessing water quality and potential ecological imbalances caused by excessive algal growth. In conclusion, the research conducted by Benavides et al. showcases a paradigm shift in algae concentration measurement. Through the inventive integration of RGB light absorption and the YCbCr color space representation, coupled with the utilization of the Arduino KY-016 3-color LED module, the study introduces a novel, cost-effective approach to estimate algae concentration in water bodies. From the experiment data there is a tight exponential correlation between correlation between the RGB (-Ln(I/Io)) and the biomass concentration (mg/L) of y = 15.153e0.4813x with a Pearson's correlation coefficient R2=0.973. This breakthrough holds promise for revolutionizing environmental monitoring practices, enabling more efficient and widespread assessment of aquatic ecosystems and contributing to the preservation of water resources. Abstract

Employee turnover is a problem that almost every company experiences. Therefore, the company must manage existing resources properly so that employee productivity is maintained. This study aims to determine the effect of workload, works tress, and compensation on employee turnover intention. This research uses quantitative methods with data collection techniques including interview, literature study dan research questionnaires. The sampling method in this study used the slovin technique with an error rate of 10% which result for 56 samples. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed, 1) workload has no significant effect on turnover intention 2) job stress has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention 3) compensation has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. The coefficient value of 27,1% and 72,9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the role of the homeroom teacher as a guidance counselor in building students' character in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative research. Interviews were conducted homeroom teachers. This interview was on their approach in building student discipline character. The interview method was one-on-one. Then the data is presented in the form of excerpts from the interview results. The results of the research show that building the students’ character is done through continuous guidance: directing students towards good deeds, convincing students of the importance of discipline, giving reprimands, and punishing those who violate school rules.
