Abstract

Bananas are a horticultural commodity (fruit) that is easily damaged, so efforts must be made to make them last longer, such as processing them into banana chips. Banana plants in the congregation in the GMIT Imanuel Oepunu service area and the fruit are only used for household consumption. Many bananas are also wasted, only becoming animal feed. Therefore, it would be better if the women's congregation of GMIT Imanuel Oepunu could diversify banana products into food products with higher sales value to increase the congregation’s household income. In addition to processing banana products, the team also makes product packaging that is given a label to provide information about the banana chips product in the form of pictures and the writing of the GMIT Imanuel Oepunu banana chips product brand.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the major problems faced by Indonesia because human needs and desires are increasing and becoming more diverse from day to day, as are household needs. One indicator for increasing welfare is by increasing empowerment of women, especially housewives. Through productive household business activities such as producing chips from banana stems, Business opportunities selling home-cooked food or chips from banana stems are still very much in demand among the community, besides this business is also not difficult to do because housewives can do this activity in the gaps of being busy as housewives, and the raw materials do not have to be bought again at the traditional market because they are already available in the garden or in the yard. Banana plants only bear fruit once and then die so the banana plants that have been harvested will be cut down and replaced with new banana shoots. Banana stems that come from the remaining harvest are usually not used or processed so that they pile up and cause an unpleasant odor for the community. In fact, banana stems have good content for the human body such as being able to prevent an increase in blood sugar levels and improve the digestive system by having daily fiber intake, banana stems can also support diet programs because they can make you full, banana hearts can also reduce postpartum fever, treat intestinal ulcers, treat chicken pox, can prevent kidney stones, reduce stomach acidity levels, and cure infections, and there are many more benefits of banana stems that are not yet known by the community

Transportation that is getting better and developing rapidly and supported by the advancement of science and technology today, many domestic freight forwarding companies are also established. Where a company sends the goods in its handling in addition to using sophisticated facilities and infrastructure, the company also needs cooperation with other parties to expand the network and performance system of the company to be better in its handling. Therefore, there is also a lot of competition between companies in the field of freight forwarding services in selling their products to consumers, but not everyone can build a freight forwarding company properly, because to place a company in the domestic freight forwarding industry must be able to have professional human resources, and high work standard capabilities, if they want to get the best access to the market and trust from consumers. Abstract

In accordance with Law No. 25 of 1992 Chapter I Article 1 paragraph (1) concerning cooperatives. Cooperatives are business entities whose members are individuals or cooperative legal entities based on cooperative principles as well as people's economic movements based on the principle of family. Cooperatives are formed and managed democratically to meet the needs of members without making profit the main goal because cooperatives are established to improve the economic welfare of their members. The characteristics of cooperatives that distinguish them from other business entities are that cooperative members have a dual identity, namely members as owners and at the same time users of cooperative services. The history of cooperatives initially began in the 20th century. The history of cooperatives began with the results of small businesses that were not spontaneous and carried out by the common people. Low economic capacity encouraged small businesses to escape from suffering. Cooperatives were introduced in Indonesia in 1896 where the establishment of cooperatives was pioneered by R. Aria Wina Atmaja in Purwokerto, Central Java. On July 12, 1947, the cooperative movement in Indonesia held its first cooperative congress in Tasikmalaya. The date of the congress was later determined as Indonesian Cooperative Day. The existence of cooperatives in Indonesia is regulated in the 1945 Constitution article 33 paragraph 1 and Law no. 17 of 2012 concerning cooperatives. In Indonesia there are several types of cooperatives including savings and loan cooperatives, producer cooperatives, multi-purpose cooperatives, consumer cooperatives and many more including employee cooperatives. Employee cooperatives are cooperatives whose members are employees of the company itself without outside communities.
