Abstract

This study explores the role of Islamic Human Capital Management (IHCM) in enhancing organizational agility and improving employee well-being. The central problem addressed is the need for organizations to adopt strategies that foster a highly skilled, ethically grounded, and adaptable workforce to remain competitive in a dynamic business environment. The objectives of the study include examining the theoretical foundations of IHCM, analyzing its impact on organizational performance, and providing practical recommendations for its implementation. The research employs a qualitative conceptual approach, rooted in literature review and analysis of existing studies on IHCM, organizational agility, and employee well-being. The analysis focuses on the contributions of IHCM in creating a workforce that is not only skilled but also engaged and ethically responsible, enabling organizations to respond effectively to external changes. The study synthesizes findings from over 30 scholarly articles, offering insights into the integration of IHCM strategies such as ethical leadership, employee empowerment, continuous learning, and work-life balance. Results suggest that adopting IHCM practices leads to improved employee satisfaction, innovation, and organizational adaptability. Organizations that invest in employee development and promote ethical leadership are more likely to foster a positive work environment, enhancing both performance and retention. However, the study's limitations include its focus on Islamic organizations, which may not be applicable to non-Islamic contexts. Future research could include comparative studies across various sectors to assess the generalizability of IHCM strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

The transition toward Zero Emission Zones (ZEZ) in higher education institutions (HEIs) faces systemic challenges, particularly the underutilization of HRM as a strategic driver of sustainability. In many universities, HRM remains focused on administrative functions rather than catalyzing behavioral and institutional transformation aligned with climate goals. This study aims to develop a strategic Green HRM model to support policy development and operational change toward ZEZ implementation in HEIs.Using a Design Thinking approach comprising five stages—empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test—the research explores current practices, identifies institutional barriers, and co-creates solutions across selected Indonesian universities. The findings reveal that integrating green job design, environmental training, eco-based performance indicators, and prophetic leadership significantly enhances staff engagement, reduces energy use, and promotes low-carbon innovation. Pilot testing demonstrates that digital platforms supporting HR-led emission monitoring and incentive structures can accelerate sustainability culture within academic settings.

Abstract

The global challenges of ethical crises, social inequality, and environmental degradation have significantly impacted higher education institutions. Amid growing demands for the implementation of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, leadership in universities remains largely technocratic and managerial, often neglecting moral and spiritual values. This article aims to formulate a prophetic leadership model within the context of ESG-based sustainable governance. The study employs a qualitative-conceptual approach through library research and interdisciplinary theoretical synthesis, drawing from literature in educational management, business ethics, ESG, and prophetic leadership studies. The proposed model integrates three core elements: (1) prophetic values encompassing justice, trustworthiness, transformation, and humanity; (2) ESG principles, including energy efficiency, social equity, and transparent governance; and (3) implementation domains in higher education, particularly curriculum development, organisational structure, and institutional policy. The findings suggest that incorporating prophetic values into the ESG framework offers significant potential to address the ethical void in contemporary higher education governance. The practical implications of this model open up avenues for leadership reform grounded in spirituality, while promoting the integration of humanistic and sustainability values into academic policy. Future research is recommended to empirically validate the model through both qualitative and quantitative approaches across diverse institutional contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk on Generation Z's interest in using the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS) as a digital payment method. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 84 Generation Z respondents (born 1997-2012). Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 29.The results showed that: (1) Perceived ease of use had a positive and significant effect on interest in using QRIS (t-count = 3.546 t-table = 1.990, sig. 0.001); (2) Perceived usefulness did not have a significant effect on interest in using QRIS (t-count = 0.556 t-table = 1.990, sig. 0.579 0.05); (3) Perceived risk did not have a significant effect on interest in using QRIS (t-count = -0.449, sig. -0.654 0.05). Simultaneously, all three variables significantly influenced QRIS usage intention (F-count = 9.576 F-table = 3.11, sig. 0.001), contributing 26.4%.Gen Z prioritizes ease of use when adopting digital payment technology. Although perceived benefits and risks do not influence QRIS individually, the combination of these three factors collectively influences QRIS usage intention.

Abstract

. This research examines how multi-generational leadership approaches can enhance environmental innovation in Indonesian organizations. With workplaces increasingly comprising Gen Z (digital natives with strong environmental consciousness), Millennials (purpose-driven professionals), and Gen X (experienced leaders with institutional knowledge), understanding generational differences becomes critical for sustainable organizational transformation. Through mixed-method research involving 1,200 employees across 40 Indonesian organizations, this study analyzes how different generational perspectives contribute to environmental innovation initiatives. Key findings reveal that Gen Z brings technological innovation and sustainability urgency (contributing 47% of green innovation ideas), Millennials excel at collaborative implementation and stakeholder engagement (leading 63% of successful sustainability projects), while Gen X provides strategic oversight and resource allocation expertise. The research proposes the Multi-Generational Environmental Leadership Framework (MGELF), which integrates generational strengths to accelerate sustainable organizational transformation. Results show organizations implementing this framework achieved 34% higher environmental performance scores and 28% better employee engagement in sustainability initiatives compared to traditional single-generation leadership approaches.

Abstract

Work-life balance and workload management have emerged as critical factors influencing employee productivity in the modern logistics industry. This study examined the effects of work-life balance and workload on employee productivity at JNE Express Company's Gedebage branch in Bandung, Indonesia. A quantitative approach utilizing path analysis was employed with 175 employees selected through proportionate random sampling from a population of 310 workers. Data collection employed validated questionnaires measuring work-life balance dimensions including work interference with personal life, personal life interference with work, personal life enhancement of work, and work enhancement of personal life. Workload was assessed through job conditions, working time utilization, and target achievement dimensions. Employee productivity was evaluated across five dimensions: resource utilization efficiency, work quality, planning and management effectiveness, innovation and development, and work-life balance maintenance. Path analysis revealed that work-life balance demonstrated a significant positive effect on employee productivity (β = 0.466, p 0.001) with a total influence of 35.52%. Workload similarly showed significant positive effects on productivity (β = 0.456, p 0.001) contributing 34.6% to overall productivity variance. The combined model explained 70.1% of productivity variance (R² = 0.701), indicating strong predictive validity. These findings suggest that effective work-life balance policies and optimal workload distribution represent strategic human resource management interventions for enhancing organizational performance in logistics operations. The research contributes empirical evidence supporting the positive relationship between work-life balance, workload management, and productivity outcomes in Indonesian logistics contexts.
