Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a dedicated website for managing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) specializing in ornamental plants in the Agrotourism area of Lubuk Minturun. The website focuses on the needs of SMEs and ornamental plant buyers. The development method employed is the MVC (Model, View, Controller) architecture using the Waterfall approach to provide an organized development structure. The website offers services such as SMEs event schedules and facilities for buying and selling ornamental plant products. The successful provision of these services is expected to promote and support SMEs in ornamental plants in the area. The utilization of technologies such as the PHP programming language, Yii Framework, and MySQL database provides a solid technological foundation, ensuring the efficiency and scalability of the website. In conclusion, the design of this website not only establishes a platform for SMEs and brings positive benefits to the business development and promotion of ornamental plants in the Agrotourism area of Lubuk Minturun. With the proper technological support, it is anticipated that this website will enhance the competitiveness of SMEs and add value to stakeholders in the horticultural ornamental plant sector.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes due to the learning process still relying on printed books, the absence of interactive multimedia learning media, and the use of traditional methods. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the validity and practicality of interactive multimedia using the Canva application in the Basic Electronics subject for the 10th grade at SMK Negeri 1 Batipuh. To carry out this development, the 4D research model is employed, including the Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate steps. The results of material expert validation show an average score of 0.883, categorizing it as "Valid." The average score from the media expert verification is 0.914, also falling into the "valid" category. The practicality test of the Basic Electronics multimedia learning demonstrates that it is highly practical for use in the learning process, with an average percentage of 91%, falling into the "Very Practical" category.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in technical education, specifically focusing on "The Application of Electronic Circuits" at SMKN 1 Sutera. The study employed a quasi-experimental design in which two classes were selected as samples: an experimental group taught using the STAD model and a control group utilizing direct instruction. Posttest results revealed that the experimental group achieved significantly higher average scores (80.00) compared to the control group (71.43), with a lower standard deviation (9.40) indicating more consistent learning outcomes. Normality and homogeneity tests confirmed the validity of the dataset, while hypothesis testing (tcalculated = 5.73, ttable = 1.679, α = 0.05) demonstrated the significant effectiveness of the STAD model. The findings highlight STAD’s ability to foster collaboration, inclusivity, and equitable learning, effectively bridging theoretical knowledge and practical skills gaps. This research addresses a gap in the application of cooperative learning models within technical education and offers actionable insights for enhancing teaching strategies in vocational contexts. Future studies should explore the long-term effects of STAD on skill application, student motivation, and knowledge retention, contributing to the broader discourse on innovative pedagogical approaches in education.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the contribution of motivation to students' learning outcomes, the contribution of infrastructure to learning outcomes, and the combined impact of motivation and infrastructure on the learning outcomes of 10th-grade students majoring in Audio-Video at SMK Negeri 5 Padang in the subjects of workshop and technical drawing. The research method employed is a descriptive method with a correlational approach. The study population includes all 10th-grade students majoring in audio-video at SMK Negeri 5 Padang registered in the Academic Year 2021/2022, comprising 2 classes with a total of 72 students. The sample for this study consists of 42 students. The results of the first, second, and third hypothesis analyses indicate that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected. These findings indicate that individual motivation and infrastructure do not significantly contribute to learning outcomes. Furthermore, the analysis of the third hypothesis indicates that students' perceptions of combined motivation and infrastructure also do not significantly contribute to learning outcomes. Specifically, learning motivation contributes 2.3%, while infrastructure contributes 0.26% to students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The main objective is to determine the influence of interactive learning media on the Fundamentals of Electronics among students studying electrical measuring instruments, electronics, and instrumentation at SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. The research population consists of students from the X TAV 1 and X TAV 2 classes at SMK N 2 Payakumbuh for the academic year 2023/2024, totaling 61 students. The research instrument used was a set of objective questions administered at the end of the learning process after each treatment. The results indicate that the calculated t-value exceeds the critical t-value (4.60 > 1.67). This implies that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of interactive learning media significantly affects students' learning outcomes in the study of electrical measuring instruments, electronics, and instrumentation at SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh.

Abstract

This study explores the development of an E-commerce information system for the “Sumatera Silver” jewelry store, aimed at enhancing sales efficiency and overcoming the limitations of its current manual system. The manual system hindered operational efficiency, limiting market reach and preventing the business from tracking sales in real-time. The research employed the Prototype method to develop a user-centered system, incorporating real-time data tracking, automated sales reports, and improved customer accessibility. The system was designed using the CodeIgniter framework and adopts the MVC (Model, View, Controller) approach for modular, efficient system architecture. The results demonstrate that implementing the E-commerce system has significantly enhanced the store’s operational efficiency, enabling it to manage better customer transactions, sales data, and marketing outreach. The system also facilitates quicker and more accurate decision-making for store management by providing automated reporting and real-time sales analytics. This study concludes that adopting such a system offers substantial benefits for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially those looking to transition from traditional to digital sales models, ensuring competitiveness in the modern market. The findings underscore the importance of integrating digital solutions to streamline sales processes, improve customer satisfaction, and support business growth.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based population administration system for Nagari VII Koto Talago, focusing on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of population data management. Currently, population data in Nagari VII Koto Talago is managed using Microsoft Office and stored in physical ledger books, which leads to inefficiencies and increases the likelihood of errors. Public information services, especially in processing requests for official documents such as population referral letters, still rely on paper-based methods, resulting in lengthy processing times. The system development followed the Waterfall Method, with a particular emphasis on the implementation stage. The objective is to replace the outdated, manual system with a computerized system, optimizing the use of technology for data input, storage, and management. By employing CodeIgniter, PHP, and MySQL, the newly developed system offers improved accessibility, reduces processing time, and ensures more accurate data handling. The results of this study are expected to significantly enhance the quality of population administration services by streamlining processes and increasing service responsiveness to the community.

Abstract

This research aims to create an educational environment integrated with technology through the implementation of educational technology, particularly by managing and storing digital learning device documents known as repositories. The developed Repository System aims to optimize storage management for learning device documents within an educational institution. A case study was conducted at a Vocational High School (SMK). The management and storage system for learning device documents was developed using the Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) method, adopting an adaptive and flexible agile approach. The repository system also applies data compression technology to optimize the storage capacity of learning device documents. Based on the results of the data compression testing, the developed system proved to be suitable, achieving an average storage efficiency of 40.04% for each uploaded file. This research contributes practical insights into the implementation of a repository system in an educational environment, particularly in Vocational High Schools, with a focus on curriculum transitions and the efficiency of managing learning device documents.

Abstract

E-commerce has become a dominant trend in buying and selling transactions; however, the Atlanta Sport Store still relies on a manual approach to managing data, marketing, product sales, and generating sales reports. To address this challenge, we propose an innovative e-commerce platform design for the Atlanta Sport Store. The development methodology involved the waterfall method and Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling. The programming stack includes PHP as the programming language, MySQL as the database management system (DBMS), and XAMPP as the web server, with coding performed through browsers such as Google Chrome. The primary objective of this design is to create an effective e-commerce site, facilitating customers to find information and make product purchase transactions while simplifying store management activities. This e-commerce design not only addresses online sales needs but also optimizes inventory management, transaction reporting, and financial reporting for store owners. This study makes a significant contribution to optimizing business operations through the implementation of an integrated e-commerce solution, opening up opportunities for increased efficiency and competitiveness in the retail sector.

Abstract

The design of Ohm’s Law and Kirchoff’s Law trainers is an innovation aimed at improving the effectiveness process, particularly in the subjects of Ohm’s Law and Kirchoff’s Law. This trainer utilizes an AC-to-DC converter module and a DC-to-DC step-down module as the main power supply. The main structure of the trainer is divided into three key parts: the power supply, circuitry, and measurement tools. Ohm’s Law and Kirchoff’s Law are the focus in selecting the material, as they constitute the fundamental laws in electronics. During practical exercises, students often encounter challenges related to neatness, the structure of the materials, and practical tools. The trainer is expected to overcome these issues by providing a more structured and practical environment. By utilizing this trainer, it is expected that students can more easily comprehend and practically apply the concepts of Ohm’s Law and Kirchoff’s Law. Based on the test results, the trainer can provide measurement results that closely approximate accuracy with minimal differences from manual calculations. This indicates that the trainer will provide a consistent, practical experience in line with fundamental electronic principles. Moreover, the learning process can become more organized and efficient, improving the overall quality of learning in the basic electronic law.
