Abstract

This study aims to analyze local economic empowerment strategies as an effort to reduce this gap. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a study of related literature over the past five years. The results of the study indicate that strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), developing a creative economy based on local potential, and empowering farmer groups, fishermen, and cooperatives are effective strategies in increasing community productivity and income. Multi-party synergy involving local governments, communities, NGOs, the private sector, and academics, together with inclusive policies, training, access to financing, and infrastructure development, are the keys to successful empowerment. However, there are still obstacles such as limited access to capital, low digital literacy, and infrastructure inequality that need to be addressed. This study recommends strengthening sustainable policies, increasing human resource capacity, expanding access to financing, and developing strategic partnerships to support local economic empowerment. Thus, local economic empowerment can be an effective solution in reducing economic inequality and encouraging equitable and inclusive regional development

Abstract

Tax management remains a pressing challenge for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, which contribute significantly to the national economy yet often struggle with tax compliance. This study aims to explore effective tax management strategies by conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 42 relevant academic and institutional sources published in the last decade. The method involved thematic coding and narrative synthesis of selected literature to identify recurring issues and proposed solutions. The analysis reveals that strategies such as targeted tax education, digital integration, regulatory clarity, institutional collaboration, and incentive alignment are key drivers of compliance. A novel contribution of this study lies in the integrative model proposed emphasizing coordination among stakeholders and contextual adaptation to the Indonesian SME landscape. The findings offer practical insights for policymakers and tax authorities to design more inclusive and effective tax systems tailored to SMEs.

Abstract

The prevalence of prediabetes in children has shown a significant increase globally, including in Indonesia, along with lifestyle changes due to digitalization and urbanization. Children are now at risk of earlier onset of metabolic disorders, exacerbated by unhealthy diets, lack of physical activity, and high exposure to digital media and processed food advertisements. This condition often goes undetected due to the asymptomatic nature of prediabetes, while the transition to type 2 diabetes can occur without early intervention. This study uses a qualitative approach through literature studies to examine factors that influence non-compliance with prediabetes management in children in the digital era. Data sources were obtained from scientific journals and reports from trusted health institutions in the period 2015–2025, and analyzed using thematic techniques. The results of the study indicate that low health literacy, the dominance of a digital culture that supports a sedentary lifestyle, and minimal early detection in primary health services are the main obstacles. A cross-sectoral strategy involving families, schools, and the government is needed to increase awareness, strengthen nutrition education, and reform the child health care system to be able to face the challenges of prediabetes as a hidden epidemic in the future.

Abstract

Water filters are tools that are widely used to purify water so that the dirt contained in it is reduced. Limited clean water causes many people to use water from rivers. One of the rivers that is still often used by people for MCK (Bathing, Washing, Toilet) activities is the Cisadane River, Tangerang Regency. This study aims to determine the best composition in improving water quality pH, TDS, ammonia, and iron levels in a multi-stage filtration device. This study was conducted in January-March 2025. Testing of iron (Fe) levels was carried out at the Serang Regency Health Laboratory UPT. This study consists of three stages, namely filter tool design, tool testing, and water quality testing. The water quality measured is the physical and chemical parameters (pH, TDS, ammonia, and iron levels). The trial method used was a Completely Randomized Design with 2 treatments (combinations) of 3 replications, namely combination 1 (15 cm silica sand, 15 cm rubble, 15 cm activated carbon, 15 cm zeolite stone, 10 cm sponge) and combination 2 (20 cm silica sand, 10 cm rubble, 20 cm activated carbon, 10 cm zeolite stone, 10 cm sponge). Based on research data, it shows that the use of multilevel filtration devices with two different combinations can improve water quality pH, TDS, ammonia, and iron levels. The best treatment was obtained by combination 2 because it was able to reduce TDS, ammonia and iron levels by 73%, 100%, and 98% respectively and increase the pH value towards more neutral. All results of filtration water quality tests from both compositions were significant (p> 0.5), but both compositions still had a good effect in improving water quality.

Abstract

The significant growth in the number of retail investors in Indonesia's capital market in recent years indicates increased public participation in investment activities. However, the reality on the ground shows that retail investors still face barriers in understanding and accessing relevant financial information. Financial reports prepared with technical terms and complex formats tend to only be optimally utilized by institutional investors, resulting in information gaps that have an impact on inequality in investment decision making. This study aims to analyze the needs and challenges of retail investors in understanding financial information and explore the urgency of implementing inclusive accounting as a solution. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with a number of active retail investors in the capital market. The research shows that retail investors have difficulty in understanding financial terminology such as EBITDA, liabilities and operating cash flows. In addition, access to official, real-time financial information is limited, with most informants relying on social media or securities apps as their main source of information. The informants expressed a preference for visual, summarized and narrative presentation of information that is easier to understand. The conclusion of this study suggests that inclusive accounting can be a strategic approach to bridge the financial literacy gap between market participants. It is expected that the implementation of inclusive accounting by companies and the support of regulators can improve information disclosure, expand access, and strengthen retail investor participation in the Indonesian capital market

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of teachers' pedagogical competence at SMP Ulumul Qur'an Pidie Jaya, focusing on the forms of strengthening, its implications for learning, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that pedagogical competence is strengthened through regular class supervision, internal and online training, and participation in learning communities. These enhance teachers' understanding of student characteristics, mastery of learning theories, and the ability to design and implement effective learning tailored to students' needs. As a result, learning becomes more engaging and efficient, contributing to both academic and non-academic achievements, as reflected in improved student performance. The main supporting factors include the principal's support through supervision and training, as well as active teacher involvement in learning communities. However, challenges arise from limited time, facilities, technological resources, and difficulties in adapting teaching methods to the diverse characteristics of students.
