Abstract

News text is information about things that have happened, presented in various forms such as print media, broadcast, and the Internet, so the news must use language that can be understood by the general public so that the news can be conveyed well and there are no misunderstandings in interpreting the information. existing news. The aim of this research is to describe and imply language and punctuation errors in the February edition of detik.com online news text. In this research, a method used to analyze language errors involves an approach, namely quantitative descriptive. Research data collection techniques are the listening method and the note-taking method. This research also uses the collection method and uses formal methods. Based on the research results, language errors in the February edition of detik.com online news text consist of language errors such as several sentences that are difficult to understand, punctuation errors such as a lack of commas, periods, and other punctuation marks, as well as the use of capital letters and morphological errors. The benefit of this research for society is that it can increase the insight of writers and readers, and it can increase knowledge of information that does not yet exist, namely information related to education. The data taken in this research is an analysis of language errors and punctuation in news texts in the February 2024 edition of detik.com articles as appropriate reading materials and sources of information.

Abstract

Ineffective sentences are sentences that have several words that are difficult to understand. This research is motivated by the writers in the preparation of sentences in news texts that are not in accordance with linguistic rules. This research aims to identify the use of effective sentences in online news texts, with a focus on the article "It's Time to Clean up APKs in Bandung City" found on the February 2024 Edition of the Detikjabar Website. This analysis aims to analyze ineffective sentences in the article and produce more effective sentences, in accordance with linguistic rules. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with a syntactic theoretical approach. The results showed several ineffective sentences found in the news text, such as the use of less formal words and typos. The sentence improvements offered aim to improve clarity and conformity with correct linguistic rules. It is hoped that this knowledge can help readers understand the importance of effective sentences in news texts and avoid language errors in writing. The benefits of this analysis include a better understanding of the correct use of language in the context of online news, both in academic and non-academic activities.

Abstract

This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with a cyclical approach to increase student learning motivation in Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) subjects. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. In Cycle I, the average student learning motivation was 44.05%, while in Cycle II it increased significantly to 74.68%, with an increase of 30.63%. This increase shows positive changes in students' interest and enthusiasm for learning. The research results showed that the use of "comic media" during learning in Cycle II was effective in stimulating students' interest and motivation. This increase in motivation also indicates the success of the emphasis on more interesting and participatory learning. These findings illustrate the positive impact of the improvement efforts made in Cycle II in creating a better learning environment. This research provides a positive view regarding the use of the PTK method with a cycle approach and the implementation of "comic media" in increasing students' learning motivation in PJOK subjects. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of innovative approaches to learning to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

This study focuses on the low learning motivation among students in class XI-3 at SMAN 1 Gedangan. The aim of this research is to gather information and investigate the effect of implementing traditional games to enhance motivation in PJOK learning for class XI-3 at SMAN 1 Gedangan, Sidoarjo. The stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection of the action research project were followed in this study. Thirty-six students from class XI-3 at SMAN 1 Gedangan participated in this research. The researcher used a questionnaire that was distributed during a pre-test before the treatment and a post-test after the treatment to draw conclusions. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25 with five formulas applied: mean, standard deviation, variance, normality test (chi-square), and percentage increase. Based on the data analysis conducted, it was found that the implementation of traditional games has an effect on students' learning motivation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health in class XI-3. This is evidenced by the analysis results showing a sig value of 0.00, which is less than 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. The effect size of implementing traditional games in enhancing learning motivation is 30%.

Abstract

Bullying is described as antagonistic behavior, both physical and verbal, that is frequently demonstrated by someone. The purpose of bullying behavior is to gain acceptance from others. Bullying often occurs regularly, and in some cases, even organized. Bullying has a negative impact on its victims, including depression and trauma, which can disrupt their psychology and even their mental and physical health. This research uses quantitative methodology. Quantitative research is a method of gathering knowledge that uses numerical data to analyze information about a subject of interest. Because the quasi experimental research technique is a component of a quantitative approach with unique characteristics that are not coincidental, the existence of a control group was used in this research. In this research, all topics as they have been developed organically in class are used. There are two classes in this method: control class and experimental class.

Abstract

This study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the goal of enhancing short-distance running skills among students in class X TAV 1 at SMK Negeri 3 Surabaya by utilizing cone relay games. This approach was chosen due to the currently low outcomes in students' short-distance running skills. Observations revealed that these low outcomes are due to several factors, including teaching methods that lack creativity and innovation, which diminish students' interest in short-distance running. The teacher's role is essential as a facilitator to guide and improve students' movement skills. An effective approach is to introduce creative, innovative, and enjoyable games. The research showed that implementing the cone relay game fostered a fun and interactive learning environment, leading to increased student engagement. Results indicated an improvement in students' performance across cycles: initially, only 17 students (47%) met the minimum criteria, but this number rose to 26 students (72%) in cycle I and 31 students (86%) in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that using cone relay games significantly enhances students' short-distance running skills.

Abstract

This study aims to support the learning objectives of underhand passing for class XI DPIB SMKN 3 Surabaya through throwing and catching ball games. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a research technique that involves collaboration between researchers and PJOK instructors at SMKN 3 Surabaya. This study consists of four parts, namely action, planning, observation, and reflection. The implementation system of this research will be completed in stages, starting from the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The results of this study are used as a reference in efforts to improve the learning outcomes of underhand passing for class XI DPIB SMKN 3 Surabaya students through throwing and catching ball games. has produced an average percentage of 37% in the pre-cycle, 54% in cycle I, and 83% in cycle II; this shows that they have met the requirements to achieve the learning objectives targeted by the researcher. These results indicate that the use of throwing and catching ball games can improve PJOK learning outcomes, especially volleyball underhand passing.

Abstract

Everyone must have the ability to speak, especially a leader. When writing speech texts, you are expected to be able to write sentence patterns correctly and understandably. The aim of writing this article is to study the function patterns of sentences in the text of the 2024 RI presidential candidate's speech in the online news Detik News to broaden the insight of researchers and readers, especially as a reading source for grade 10 high school students. This research was conducted so that researchers and readers could compose speech texts and deliver speeches with a correct and appropriate structure. This research uses a pragmatic approach and carries out analysis by identifying sentence patterns in the text of the 2024 Indonesian presidential candidate's speech published in the online news Detik News. Information about the data taken is text that contains the sentence structure of speech texts in Indonesian language learning for class X students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and a syntactic method. The data collection technique uses listening and taking note techniques. After researching the text of the 2023 Indonesian presidential candidate's speech on the online news Detik News, various sentence patterns were found. These sentence patterns consist of, among others, single sentence patterns, equivalent compound sentence patterns, multilevel compound sentence patterns, and mixed compound sentence patterns. It is hoped that the results of the analysis from this article will increase students' knowledge in writing and analyzing speech texts well and correctly, and also not only writing and analyzing but also hopefully being able to give public speeches well and of course correctly.

Abstract

Currently, many novels can be read and are available on various social media platforms. These novels are expected to achieve the existing learning objectives and enable students to understand and implement the results of their learning activities well. The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of content and direct sentences in the novel to determine whether or not the novel Perfect Couple is suitable as a reading resource for high school students in grade XII. This research will analyze various aspects of the quality of content and direct sentences, such as the level of content with the subject matter, the level of suitability of direct sentences with the level of students' reading ability, and others. The descriptive-qualitative method is used in this study by describing and analyzing the quality of content and direct sentences in the text of the novel Perfect Couple by Asri Aci. So, the researcher finds descriptive data and then looks for findings to be explained in detail. The descriptive method in this study is used to determine the quality of content and direct sentences in the novel Perfect Couple by Asri Aci. The data collected is in the form of words and pictures, not numbers. From the analysis that has been done, there are several quotations from the quality of content and direct sentences in the novel Perfect Couple by Asri Aci. The analysis results in this article are expected to add deeper understanding and knowledge about the quality of content and direct sentences contained in the novel. The first result of this research is that ten positive content qualities provide benefits to readers so that they can be used as reading material for high school students in class XII. The second result of this research is that there are 2,562 direct sentences consisting of 1,401 news sentences, 964 question sentences, and 199 command sentences.
