Abstract

Learning to read Iqro among children is an important aspect of religious education, especially in understanding the Qur'an. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the effectiveness of learning to read Iqro among children. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with interviews and observation as data collection techniques. The results show that the effectiveness of learning is influenced by several factors, including children's motivation, parental support, teaching methods used, and a conducive learning environment. Children who are highly motivated and receive active support from their parents show better progress in their Iqro reading skills. In addition, the use of varied and fun teaching methods, such as educational games and visual media, can increase children's interest and engagement in the learning process. The study also identified challenges teachers face, such as children with learning difficulties and lack of support from parents. These findings provide insights for teachers and parents in creating a better learning environment and supporting the development of children's Iqro reading skills. Thus, collaborative efforts between teachers, parents and the community are needed to improve the effectiveness of learning to read Iqro.

Abstract

The era of globalization has brought about a significant moral crisis in the younger generation, characterized by increasing individualism, materialism, and immoral behavior. This research discusses an Islamic-based character education model as a solution to these challenges. Using a qualitative approach through a literature study, this research explores the concept of Islamic values, such as faith, taqwa, honesty, trustworthiness, justice, and ihsan, which are relevant in shaping individual character. It also offers implementation strategies, such as integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, habituation of Islamic behavior, and collaboration between schools, families, and communities. Despite facing challenges such as limited teacher understanding and the influence of global culture, this research provides recommendations for solutions through training, media literacy, and technology utilization. The findings are expected to be a practical guide to improving the morality of the younger generation in the modern context.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in fostering religious moderation in Indonesia, a country rich in ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research analyzes the PAI curriculum, teaching methods, and community involvement in cultivating tolerant attitudes among students. The findings indicate that an inclusive curriculum and interactive teaching methods, such as discussions and role-playing, are effective in internalizing the values of religious moderation. Furthermore, community involvement, including the role of religious gatherings and the use of technology, such as social media, also contributes to reinforcing the message of moderation. Although challenges such as intolerant attitudes persist, collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and society is essential to create a supportive educational environment for religious moderation. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more effective and inclusive PAI, as well as strengthen interfaith harmony in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji upaya optimalisasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis teknologi digital di era digital. Fokus penelitian mencakup identifikasi tantangan implementasi teknologi digital, seperti rendahnya kompetensi digital guru, ketimpangan akses teknologi, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan metode pembelajaran tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif, mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber literatur, termasuk jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan laporan penelitian terkini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi digital berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI melalui peningkatan aksesibilitas, interaktivitas, dan keterlibatan siswa. Namun, keberhasilan implementasi memerlukan strategi komprehensif, seperti pelatihan kompetensi digital untuk guru, pemanfaatan platform pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, dan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, sekolah, serta komunitas teknologi. Dengan strategi ini, pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi digital dapat dioptimalkan untuk menciptakan proses belajar yang inovatif dan relevan, sesuai kebutuhan siswa di era digital.

Abstract

Pembelajaran diferensiasi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka bertujuan untuk menciptakan proses belajar yang inklusif, fleksibel, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan individu siswa. Guru dituntut untuk mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang variatif, baik dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, maupun evaluasi, sehingga pembelajaran tidak hanya relevan tetapi juga bermakna bagi setiap siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam implementasi pembelajaran diferensiasi pada Kurikulum Merdeka, sebuah pendekatan yang memberikan pentingnya memberikan kebutuhan individu siswa berdasarkan kemampuan, minat, dan gaya belajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, memanfaatkan sumber dari jurnal, buku, dan literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI memainkan peran strategis sebagai fasilitator, motivator, dan evaluator dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang inklusif. Guru yang mampu menyesuaikan konten, proses, dan produk pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan siswa dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, kualitas pembelajaran, dan potensi siswa secara optimal. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru dalam mendukung keberhasilan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This abstract discusses the close relationship between the Islamic Revivalist Movement and the formation of Pakistan. The focus of this journal is on the influence of the ideology and national identity shaped by this movement on Pakistan's independence process. The journal analyzes how the "Two Nations" ideology became a primary driver for the demand for a separate state for Muslims in India. The national identity of Pakistan, based on Islamic values, serves as the foundation for the country's legal, educational, and social systems. The aim of this journal is to explore the Islamic Revivalist Movement and the formation of Pakistan from the perspectives of ideology and national identity. It examines how the Islamic Revivalist Movement shaped Pakistan through these lenses. This journal employs a qualitative approach with a historical method, investigating how Pakistan's formation was influenced by the revivalist movement's ideology and identity. Through historical analysis of previous journals, it is evident that the Islamic Revivalist Movement played a crucial role in Pakistan's formation. The movement's ideology, which emphasized a return to Islamic values and encouraged social-political reform, shaped a distinct national identity for Pakistan, which became a driving force in the struggle for independence and state formation.

Abstract

This study will discuss three major medieval Islamic empires that played an important role in the development of Islamic civilization, namely: the Ottoman Turks, the Safavid Dynasty, and the Fatimid Dynasty. These three empires reached the peak of their glory under the leadership of great figures such as Sultan Sulaiman al-Qanuni, Shah Abbas I, and Caliph al-Mu'iz Riddin Allah. All three contributed to the advancement of politics, economy, art, science, and religious tolerance. However, their decline was caused by internal factors such as weak governance, dynastic conflicts, and external pressure from foreign powers. This study reveals the dynamics of Islamic history during the period of these empires and provides important insights into their successes and failures and their relevance to the study of Islamic civilization today.

Abstract

Mekkah dan Madinah, dua kota suci yang memiliki peran sentral dalam sejarah Islam, tidak hanya merupakan tempat kelahiran dan penyebaran ajaran Nabi Muhammad SAW, tetapi juga menjadi saksi dari perjuangan besar dalam menegakkan agama Islam. Mekkah, sebagai tempat kelahiran Nabi Muhammad SAW, adalah pusat pertemuan spiritual dan perdagangan yang menjadi panggung awal dakwah Islam, meskipun menghadapi perlawanan keras dari kalangan Quraisy. Setelah hijrah, Madinah menjadi pusat perkembangan Islam yang lebih terstruktur, di mana Nabi Muhammad SAW membangun komunitas muslim pertama yang bersatu dalam ikatan iman dan sosial. Kedua kota ini, dengan segala keunikan sejarah dan peranannya, mencerminkan perjalanan misi besar Nabi Muhammad SAW dalam menyebarkan Islam, memperkenalkan nilai-nilai perdamaian, keadilan, dan persaudaraan umat manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran historis Mekkah dan Madinah dalam misi Nabi Muhammad SAW, serta kontribusinya terhadap penyebaran dan penegakan agama Islam di dunia. Melalui analisis historis, kajian ini juga akan menyoroti bagaimana kedua kota tersebut menjadi simbol perlawanan, kebangkitan, dan kemajuan Islam dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan zaman.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of religious life in Kampung Madras, Medan, which is known as a symbol of tolerance and harmony between religious communities amidst ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity. This village is a real example of harmonious pluralism, demonstrated by the existence of houses of worship from various religions side by side, such as mosques, churches, temples, and gurdwaras. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, aiming to understand the phenomenon of tolerance from the perspective of the local community's experience. The results of the study show that harmony in Kampung Madras is supported by a collective awareness of the importance of respecting differences, interfaith marriage relationships, and strong kinship ties. The practice of religious moderation is seen through interfaith participation in various religious celebrations. Conflicts rarely occur, and if there are, they are resolved through direct communication that prioritizes local wisdom. However, this tolerance still has limits, especially in terms of faith, which is maintained as a fundamental principle. This study confirms that tolerance in Kampung Madras is not a form of religious relativism, but rather an effort to maintain social harmony without sacrificing each person's basic beliefs. Madras Village provides an example of how multicultural societies can live side by side peacefully through dialogue, understanding, and solidarity.

Abstract

This article was written to analyze the history of multiculturalism during the Abbasid Dynasty. While writing this article, the author used a library research method with a descriptive analysis approach. Reference sources were obtained from various printed books, digital books, and articles related to multiculturalism during the Abbasid Dynasty. These sources were processed into new information related to the main topic of discussion. With this research, several results were found, including (1) there was a social status in social life at the Abbasid Dynasty, (2) the existence of an immigrant religion that is Buddhism, (3) a political system similar to the Persian nation and a government system that emphasized the Khalifah came from the Arab nation, (4) the existence of international trade in the city of Baghdad which became a transit center for trade.
