Abstract

Background: Stress prevalence increases by 5% in 15-year-olds and over in Surabaya. Stress causing negative effects is called distress. It may affect teenagers’ nutritional status without considering their diet, leading to growth inhibition if it occurs continuously. It follows Riskesdas’s (2013) data stating that 13-15-year-olds have a nutritional status of 3.3% very thin, 7.8% thin, 8.3% overnutrition, and 2.5% obese. Therefore, this study aimed to discover the relationship between stress level and nutritional status at SMP Negeri 56 Surabaya due to its dense academic and non-academic activities. Based on JPNN.com, several students hurt themselves using a blade due to psychological problems. Methods: This study used an observational analytical study design through a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was performed using the DASS-21 questionnaire and weight and height measurements, then analyzed using the Pearson Correlation or Rank Spearman test. Conclusion: the stress level was not related to the nutritional status of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 56 Surabaya, observed from the current nutritional status (BB/U), past nutritional status (TB/U), and body proportion (IMT/U).

Abstract

Introductions: Antipsychotics are still the mainstay of schizophrenia management. Antipsychotics are antagonistic to postsynaptic dopamine receptors in the brain. Blockade of dopamine receptors in the tuberoinfundibular pathway by antipsychotics will cause the side effect of hyperprolactinemia. Objectives: This review describes hyperprolactinemia induced by antipsychotic use and its clinical effects, monitoring, and management. Methods: reference search through Google Scholar with keywords schizophrenia, antipsychotics, prolactin, hyperprolactinemia, clinical effects of hyperprolactinemia, diagnosis of hyperprolactinemia, monitoring of hyperprolactinemia, management of hyperprolactinemia. Results: Clinicians need to take a diagnostic approach to identify the etiology of hyperprolactinemia, monitor the clinical symptoms of hyperprolactinemia during the administration of antipsychotics, and immediately carry out management according to existing strategies by considering some general principles and considerations. Conclusions: Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that lasts long, requiring long-term and continuous therapy. Administration of antipsychotics is still a mainstay in the management of schizophrenia. Antipsychotics are antagonists to postsynaptic dopamine receptors in the brain. The antipsychotic effect of blocking dopamine receptors not only improves the symptoms of schizophrenia but also causes side effects. The side effect when the tuberoinfundibular dopamine pathway is blocked is an increase in prolactin levels called hyperprolactinemia.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Loneliness, a subjective feeling of social isolation, and social isolation, an objective lack of social connections, contribute to social vulnerability and physical frailty. Psychological factors and social support play important roles in CVD, affecting health behaviors and physiological mechanisms. This review aims to provide an understanding of how loneliness and social isolation impact CVD. Methods: A literature review was conducted to identify relevant studies investigating the association between loneliness, social isolation, and cardiovascular disease. Results: The findings indicate that social isolation and loneliness are significant risk factors for CVD, independent of other risk factors. The prevalence of loneliness has increased in modern society, affecting individuals of all ages. Loneliness and social isolation influence physiological processes such as activating the HPA axis, causing inflammation and alterations in immune function, and activating the sympathetic nervous system. These effects contribute to an increased risk of CVD, including elevated blood pressure, hypertension, atherosclerosis, and potential cardiac autonomic dysregulation. Conclusion: Loneliness and social isolation pose significant risks for cardiovascular disease (CVD), influencing physiological processes such as inflammation, immune function, and sympathetic nervous system activation. Understanding these relationships is crucial for developing effective strategies to prevent and manage CVD, emphasizing the importance of interventions targeting both psychological and physiological aspects of social well-being. Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of religious life in Kampung Madras, Medan, which is known as a symbol of tolerance and harmony between religious communities amidst ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity. This village is a real example of harmonious pluralism, demonstrated by the existence of houses of worship from various religions side by side, such as mosques, churches, temples, and gurdwaras. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, aiming to understand the phenomenon of tolerance from the perspective of the local community's experience. The results of the study show that harmony in Kampung Madras is supported by a collective awareness of the importance of respecting differences, interfaith marriage relationships, and strong kinship ties. The practice of religious moderation is seen through interfaith participation in various religious celebrations. Conflicts rarely occur, and if there are, they are resolved through direct communication that prioritizes local wisdom. However, this tolerance still has limits, especially in terms of faith, which is maintained as a fundamental principle. This study confirms that tolerance in Kampung Madras is not a form of religious relativism, but rather an effort to maintain social harmony without sacrificing each person's basic beliefs. Madras Village provides an example of how multicultural societies can live side by side peacefully through dialogue, understanding, and solidarity.
