Abstract

Desa Kemiriombo, Kecamatan Gemawang, Kbupaten Temanggung memiliki potensi besar pada sektor pertanian dan peternakan, namun menghasilkan limbah organik antara lain berupa kotoran kambing dan kulit kopi yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah limbah tersebut menjadi pupuk organik yang benilai guna. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatam partisipatif melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan praktik secara langsung dengan melibatkan kelompok tani. Metode tersebut menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman, partisipasi, dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah limbah melalui proses fermentasi, serta menghasilkan pupuk yang berpotensi meningkatkan kesuburan tanah dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan limbah ini dapat menjadi solusi efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam mendukung pertanian ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the paradigm of graphic design from manual processes to more automated and inclusive approaches. The main problem faced by students at SMK N 1 Purwokerto is the limited technical skills in creating visually appealing content for digital promotion. This community service activity aims to enhance design skills through training on the Canva platform, which is now integrated with AI features. The method used is a participatory workshop consisting of material presentation, hands-on practice, and evaluation of participants’ design outputs. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of design principles and their ability to utilize Canva’s AI features, such as Magic Design and Text to Image. This transformation enables participants to produce professional design works quickly and efficiently.

Abstract

Changes in modern lifestyles have driven the emergence of a dual epidemic characterized by increased consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF) and a sedentary lifestyle. As a productive age group, college students are at high risk for both of these factors due to unhealthy activity patterns and consumption habits. This scientific discussion forum aims to improve students’ literacy regarding UPF and sedentary lifestyles. The method used was an interactive discussion involving faculty members as resource persons and students as participants. The activity was held on November 14, 2025, in the video conference (ViCon) room at Batam International University with 24 participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in students’ knowledge and awareness regarding the characteristics of UPF, its impact on health, and the risks of a sedentary lifestyle. Students also demonstrated a critical attitude in choosing consumption patterns and began to realize the importance of physical activity. The conclusion of this activity is that scientific discussion forums are effective as an educational medium in improving student literacy regarding the double epidemic and strengthening the role of students as agents of change in implementing and disseminating healthy lifestyle behaviors. Keywords: health education; sedentary lifestyle; student literacy; ultra processed food.   Abstrak Perubahan gaya hidup modern telah mendorong terjadinya fenomena epidemi ganda yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya konsumsi UPF dan sedentary lifestyle. Mahasiswa sebagai kelompok usia produktif memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap kedua faktor tersebut akibat pola aktivitas dan kebiasaan konsumsi yang kurang sehat. Kegiatan forum diskusi ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi mahasiswa terkait UPF dan sedentary lifestyle. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi interaktif yang melibatkan dosen sebagai narasumber dan mahasiswa sebagai peserta. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 14 November 2025 di ruang video conference (ViCon) Universitas Internasional Batam dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 24 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran mahasiswa terkait karakteristik UPF, dampaknya terhadap kesehatan, serta risiko sedentary lifestyle. Mahasiswa juga menunjukkan sikap yang kritis dalam memilih pola konsumsi dan mulai menyadari pentingnya aktivitas fisik. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah forum diskusi ilmiah efektif sebagai media edukasi dalam meningkatkan literasi mahasiswa mengenai epidemi ganda serta memperkuat peran mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan dalam menerapkan dan menyebarluaskan perilaku hidup sehat. Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of second-semester nursing students at Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu in home care-based wound care. The methods included education, demonstration, and hands-on practice of wound care according to standard operating procedures (SOP) involving 50 students. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test. The results showed significant improvements in all aspects. Students' knowledge increased, for example, understanding of 0.9% NaCl solution rose from 50% to 90%. Positive attitudes toward wound care also improved, with almost all respondents expressing willingness to perform proper wound care. In terms of practice, correct handwashing and wound cleaning behaviors increased to above 85%. The combination of education, demonstration, and hands-on practice proved effective in enhancing nursing students' competencies.

Abstract

Kebijakan global semakin mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat lokal dan menimbulkan peluang serta tantangan bagi mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas mahasiswa dalam memahami dan merespons dampak kebijakan global terhadap kehidupan lokal. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan partisipatif, diskusi, dan pembelajaran berbasis kasus. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran kritis, kemampuan analisis, serta kapasitas adaptif mahasiswa. Mahasiswa mampu mengidentifikasi keterkaitan global-lokal dan merumuskan solusi kontekstual. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam membangun komunitas mahasiswa yang tangguh dan responsif terhadap tantangan globalisasi.

Abstract

The use of visual design media in schools, particularly vocational high schools, remains suboptimal. This community service activity aimed to improve students' ability to use Canva as a visual design tool to support information delivery at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto. The activity employed a descriptive approach combining socialization and hands-on practice. Participants consisted of 20 students who attended the session on April 30, 2026. Data were collected through observation and documentation of students' design outputs, assessed based on three indicators: color selection, typography use, and layout arrangement. The results showed that 80% of students (16 out of 20) demonstrated measurable improvement across all three aspects after the training, with color selection at 80%, typography at 75%, and layout at 85%. Students were able to produce more structured and communicative visual media compared to their initial work. These findings suggest that Canva can serve as a practical tool to support visual communication skills in a school setting.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to empower non-productive community groups through fish nugget production training as an effort to develop the creative economy and strengthen food security in Karang Anyar Village, Langsa Baro District, Aceh. The village has abundant fishery resources; however, their utilization has not been optimal because most residents sell fish only in fresh form with relatively low economic value. In addition, the community’s skills in processing fishery products into value-added products are still limited. The implementation method used a participatory approach through observation, socialization, education, training, direct practice, and mentoring stages. The training activities included the selection of quality fish raw materials, fish nugget processing techniques, packaging methods, and basic product marketing. The target participants were non-productive community groups, especially housewives, so that they could develop home-based businesses using processed fishery products. The results of the program showed that participants had high enthusiasm and were able to independently practice the production of fish nuggets. This program successfully improved community knowledge and skills in fishery product diversification and encouraged entrepreneurial interest based on the creative economy. In addition, the fish nuggets produced can serve as nutritious local food alternatives while also creating opportunities to increase community income. Therefore, this PKM activity has provided positive impacts in improving community skills, supporting food security, and encouraging the development of a creative economy based on local potential in Karang Anyar Village, Langsa Baro District, Aceh.

Abstract

Desa Rantau Puri memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan menjadi destinasi wisata berbasis syariah (halal tourism), namun pengelolaannya saat ini masih menghadapi kendala pada aspek tata kelola keuangan dan strategi pemasaran yang belum optimal. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) di Desa Rantau Puri melalui peningkatan kapasitas manajemen keuangan transparan dan penguatan promosi digital berbasis nilai-nilai wisata halal. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang meliputi tahap Sosialisasi dan edukasi konsep halal tourism serta manajemen keuangan sederhana, Pelatihan teknis pembuatan laporan keuangan dan pembuatan konten promosi digital, serta Pendampingan berkelanjutan dalam operasionalisasi destinasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mitra dalam mengelola arus kas unit usaha wisata serta kemampuan anggota Pokdarwis dalam memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi yang efektif. Melalui pemberdayaan ini, diharapkan Desa Rantau Puri mampu menciptakan ekosistem wisata yang mandiri secara ekonomi, memiliki legalitas manajemen yang baik, dan mampu menarik wisatawan melalui penonjolan identitas wisata halal yang khas.

Abstract

The abuse of narcotics and psychotropic substances is a social problem that negatively affects health, social life, and the future of the younger generation. Therefore, preventive efforts through education and counseling are needed. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to increase public awareness about the dangers of narcotics and psychotropic abuse and their legal consequences through the synergy between law students and community leaders in supporting the Drug-Free Village (Desa Bersinar) program. The activity was conducted at SMAN 2 Pandeglang, Banten using lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer methods. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of drug types, the impacts of drug abuse, and legal sanctions related to narcotics and psychotropics. In addition, the activity increased community awareness in maintaining a safe and drug-free environment. Therefore, this counseling activity is expected to become a preventive effort in supporting the realization of a Drug-Free Village in Pandeglang Regency.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the use of glutinous rice flour is still limited to foods containing carbohydrates and tends to be used to produce foods that are filling. One of the foods made from glutinous rice flour is mochi. Mochi is one of the foods that is still rarely found in society because mochi is one of the modern foods whose method of making is still unknown to many people. Therefore, innovations to mochi cakes are needed to attract the interest of many people to buy and have an interest in making mochi for consumption or for sale in order to generate economic value that can be marketed both domestically and internationally. The methods used in this activity include lectures, questions and answers or discussions, and training and mentoring carried out in Manggala District, Makassar City for 2 weeks. The results obtained are: (1) Training on making Rainbow Fla Mochi was responded well by participants; (2) High interest and motivation from training participants greatly supports the transfer of knowledge and skills from the servants to the training participants, so that the training material provided can be absorbed by all; and (3) The product of the Rainbow Fla Mochi making training can be consumed daily and can be used as a community entrepreneurial product.
