Abstract

Background : DM is a metabolic disease which is characteristic by hyperglycemia and not rarely DM patients dependent on drugs throughout their lives. Drug consumption provides certain side effects such as naunsea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypoglycemia and weight gain, therefore it is necessary to give alternative treatment in preventing the occurrence of DM with the consumption of fruits and vegetables.Objective : to determine the effect of smoothies combination of fruit and vegetable on alteration of fasting blood glucose level in adult women.Methode :The research type was True Experiment research and used Randomized Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Independent T-test was used to analyze the differences of  blood glucose levels between the treatment group and the control group and ANOVA Repeated Measure Test was used to analyze  determine the relationship between smoothies combination of fruits and vegetables with controlled blood glucose levels and nutrient intake.Results :  There were no significant effect in fasting blood glucose levels (p=0.799) between treatment group and control group, while the energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate and fiber intake level were effected on fasting blood glucose levels but not significant (p 0.05).Conclusion : Consumption of smoothies combination of fruits and vegetables for 3 weeks can lower fasting blood glucose level in adult women by 5,33mg/dl (4,35%), althought statistically insignificant.

Abstract

In food and nutrient national action plan 2001-2005, Laws no. 25 (2000) about national development program and Indonesia sehat 2010 that 80% of family become conscious nutrient defind kadarzi  is a family that have balance nutrient behavior, capable to recognize and solve the nutrient problem between each member. In 2008, kadarzi  area in jawa tengah is 35,26%, semarang area 65,77%. And then kadarzi in Tembalang sub district is 61,09%.The objective of this research is t find out relation between education, knowledge with conscious nutrient of independent family practice behavior to baby within 7-12 age month in Tandang Tembalang, Semarang.  This research include of explonative research which has a goal to explaining relation between education level and mother knowledge with kadarzi practice behavior. Research plan include of Crossectional research, conducted in Tandang Tembalang, Semarang. As mother population which have baby 7-12 agemonth as much as 164. Whereas, mount of sample is 128, took randomly with proportional random sampling.The Research result shown respondents which have high school level is 43%, knowledge level is 85,9% (Good), and while conscious nutrient family is 3,1%.The result of fisher exact statistic shown, there is no relation between mother education with kadarzi practice behavior p=0,126 and have no relation between mother knowledge with kadarzi practice behavior p=0,459. Suggested to policy maker for increasing promotion health so society in nutrient field, especially kadarzi indicator which has lowest achievement result is exclusive ASI feeding.

Abstract

Background : Satisfaction of patients is one of success indicator of hospital food management that influence the nutritional adequacy of patients. The satisfaction of patients  can be seen from the taste, punctuality of distribution, waiter hospitality and the cleanliness of tools. The other quality indicators of nutrition services is leftovers.Objectives : Reviewing the relationship of the satisfaction of food and rest service satisfaction with nutritional success in class III patients in the Roemani Hospital of Muhammadiyah Semarang.Method : This study is descriptive analytic study by using cross sectional design. The taking of sample was done by concecutive sampling and it was gotten with 30 samples. The data collection was done by interview used the questionnaire guide of the satisfaction of hospital food, recall 24 hours to know the outside intake of hospital, weighing and observation of leftovers, also counting the nutritional adequacy by comparing nutritional intake from food and nutrinionl adequacy. The data was prosseced by chi square test.Results : The subject have good perception to the food service of hospital as much as 63,3%, leftovers beetween 56,7%, and nutritional adequacy  as much as 96,7%. Conclusion : There is no urgent relation beetween satisfaction based on food service and leftovers to nutritional adequacy level.

Abstract

Background  : Toddlers Stunting prevalence in Central Java in 2016 as much as 18.1%. Stunting prevalence in Puskesmas I Wangon in 2016 as much as 27.12%. Factors Mother and Child, Diet, Nutrition and Substance Intake Infection history is an important indicator Stunting cause.Objective : Explain relationship Mother and child factors, diet, nutrient intake and a history of infection the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months working area of Puskesmas I Wangon Wangon District of Banyumas.Method : Including public nutrition research with case control approach. The research sample is Children aged 6-23 months was 50 with the distribution of 25 cases and 25 controls. Retrieval of data including data according to the nutritional status of mother and child factors, Diet, Nutrition and History Intake Infectious Substances.Results: Stunting of children aged 6-23 months with less energy intake of 15 (60%), protein intake is less than 6 (24.0%), calcium intake of less than 17 (68.0%), zinc intake less than 18 (72.0%), iron intake is less than 20 (80%). Based on the history of stunting baduta infection of 8 (32.0%) had diarrhea, and 11 (44.0%) had respiratory infection. Based on the factors Mother and Child, stunting baduta total of 14 (56.0%) had a short Mother, 21 (84.0%) Mother did not work.Conclusion: Statistical analysis showed no relationship between Height Mom (p = 0.015), there was no association between intake of energy, protein, calcium intake, intake of zinc, intake iron, diarrhea, respiratory infections, frequency of consumption, the diversity of food, education, BBL status, Apgar score, gender, occupation Mother and the Family Incomeand.

Abstract

Background: Personal hygiene is the basic principle of foodservice. Poor personal hygiene practices can lead to increase risk of microbial contamination in food. The personal hygiene of Islamic boarding schools’ food handlers are still low related to lack of knowledge. It caused by various factors, such as knowledge, attitudes, education, length of work, and habits on processing foodObjective: To examine the effect of mirroring education on the personal hygiene’s knowledge and attitudes of Islamic boarding school food handlers’ in Jombang.Methods: A pre-experimental study with a pretest-posttest group design. Total sampling were 41 food handlers in Islamic boarding school in Jombang. Data were analyzed by Paired Sample T-test and Wilcoxon test.Results: The age distribution of the respondents were 2,4% as the oldest age (58 years old) and 7,3% as the youngest age (17 years old), 26 respondents (63,4%) had working period 4 years and 22 people (53,7%) with low education. Knowledge and attitude about personal hygiene before and after education were significantly different (p=0, 01), also There were differences in knowledge and attitude about personal hygiene before and one week after education (p=0,01).Conclusion: Mirroring education can improve personal hygiene’s knowledge and attitudes of food handlers.

Abstract

Background : Cholesterol one of the causes of heart disease that is more risky in overweight society. Corner heart disease cases in Semarang city caused by high cholesterol levels as much as 53%. Screening results in overweight elderly in the Bendan Duwur urban area was 29.25%. Efforts in lowering cholesterol is a high-fiber diet with one of the guava fruit. Objective: To know the effectiveness of giving guava juice to cholesterol levels. Method: This research type used quasi experiment design with early and last test group design. The subjects were had with simple random sampling obtained as many as 21 people divided equally in two treatment groups and one control.Guava juice of 200 grams / 100 ml for the first treatment group and 150 g / 100 ml for the second treatment group was given twice daily for 14 days. Cholesterol was got by blood test (strip-test). Analysis used multivariate test with Anova Repeated Measure. Results: There was a significant effect on guava juice on the decrease of cholesterol (p 0,04) and there was a difference in the decrease among treatment group that was 9,92 mg/dl. There was no significant effect of fat intake (p 0,994), carbohydrate intake (p 0,888) and level of physical activity (p 0,136) on cholesterol level. Conclusion: Guava juice dose of 150 grams / 100 ml of water is more effective in lowering total cholesterol levels.

Abstract

Background : Anemia in pregnant women has a bad impact on both mother and fetus, resulting in a long labor process and bleeding, premature fetuses, low weight birth babies, disability and even infant death. Based on the results of Riskesdas in 2018, there was a significant increase in the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women, namely 48.9%, still below the target of achieving indicators in the 2020-2025 Community Nutrition Directorate Activity Action plan to reduce the prevalence of maternal anemia in pregnant women to 42%.Purpose : to determine the influence of providing nutritional counseling on knowledge, attitudes, and efforts to prevent anemia in pregnant women.Methods: quasi experiment with pretest and post-test research designs. The study was conducted in March- April 2021. Data analysis using independent t test.Results: In the Independent t test conducted in both groups on knowledge and attitudes, a p-value value lt; 0.05 was obtained, while for actions, a p-value value of 0.05 was obtained.Conclusion: There are differences in increasing knowledge and attitudes, where the treatment group uses booklet media in an effort to prevent anemia in pregnant women compared to providing just nutritional counseling.

Abstract

Background: The maximum performance an athlete achieves is determined by health factors, fitness, and transition phase/recovery. The recovery period is the body's energy restoration, and muscle tissue repair after exercise. Competition in the sport, making athletes look for supplements that can extend endurance, speed recovery, and improve the appearance of athletes. Consumption of bits regularly can help exercise longer without feeling fatigue and improve the ability to do business with high intensityObjective: Knowing the physical fitness and time of blood pressure  basketball men’s athlete student center for training and sport exercise (PPLOP) of  central java with drink red beetroot (Beta vulgaris) and terong belanda (Cyphomandra betacea Sendtn) juiceMethods: Type of research True Experimental Design with Randomized Repeated Measure Control Group Design design. The respondents of 17 bollabasket athletes were divided into control and treatment groups. Physical fitness (VO2max) is measured twice with a Multistage fitness test, and blood pressure is measured five times with a digital sphgmomanometer before and after exercise. Data analysis with ANOVA Repeated Measure test was controlled by control variable.Results: There was no significant difference of VO2max (p=0,814) in treatment group (49,28 ml/kgBB/min) and control group (46,13 ml/kgBB/min). There was no significant difference in the rate of recovery of systolic blood pressure (p=0.493) in the treatment group (5 minutes) and control group (7.47 minutes). There was no significant difference in the rate of recovery of diastolic blood pressure (p=0.566) in the treatment group (4.75 minutes) and control group (7 minutes).Conclusion: Giving red beetroot and terong belanda juice did not significantly affect in VO2max (p 0,05) and blood pressure recovery time (p 0,05). Increased VO2max and blood pressure recovery time was higher in the treatment group. It is recommended that research be carried out over a longer period of time, larger sample quantities and larger doses.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional problems in adolescents can cause other health problems. Adolescents with poor nutritional status tend to have low immune system so they are easily affected by disease, besides this, it can inhibit muscle formation during the growth period, lack of intelligence level. In overweight or obese teenagers, it can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease and stroke, and cancer.Objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge, breakfast habits and breakfast macronutrient intake with the nutritional status of school adolescents at SMAN 74 South Jakarta.Method: This research uses a cross-sectional study design with stratified random sampling technique. The population in this study were students of classes X and XI at SMAN 74 South Jakarta. The sample in this study consisted of 86 respondents from class X and XI students. Data were analyzed using the chi square test.Results: The results of the study showed that there was no significant relationship between nutritional knowledge (p = 0.688), breakfast habits (p = 0.413), and macronutrient intake, energy (p = 0.608), protein (p = 0.608), fat (p =0.593), carbohydrates (p=0.359) with nutritional status.Conclusion: Research shows that there is no relationship between breakfast and the nutritional status of female students, but the quality of nutritional intake is still less than the RDA.

Abstract

Background : Kadarzi Program has been implemented since 2003. From the results of monitoring have yet to all be family conscious family nutrition. As for the Kadarzi product in the city of Tegal is 52,83% (76% of target in 2011), while in the West of the Palace Kelurahan Tegal Clinics recently reached 32.4%. In order to change health behavior in particular acquired Kadarzi, the granting of necessary information. Provision of the information would enhance public knowledge about it.Granting information by model pemberdayaan family knowledge, focusing on increased the attitudes and behavior counseling and kie kadarzi through development Conseling is a good interpersonnal communication, because in this model, relation between communicator or counselor and clients is happened. And the kind of research true experiment by providing treatment of Kadarzi counseling on the toddler in kelurahan Tegal Barat  next treated as group treat. The control group is mother fives in kelurahan palace which do not get treatment counseling.Objective :The purpose of the study is determined the effectiveness of counseling the mother to behavior Kadarzi in Kelurahan Kraton Kecamatan Tegal Barat. The population of study are 885 family. The samples are needed 37 mother who has toddler. Sample-taking is using propotional simple random sampling  technique. Test statistic with Kai quadrat with degree of significance α = 0,05 and counting great effectiveness.Method : This study was designed as an quasi experiment using  randomized pretest and posttest Control Group Design. Result : result of analysis shows there is no difference between the counseling Kadarzi before treatment group and cluster of control p value = 0,812. After counseling kadarzi behavior is different between treatment group dan cluster of control p value = 0,004.Conclusion : The effectiveness of counseling is 60 %.
