Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Jurnal JERKIN: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is under the auspices of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. The journal is registered with E-ISSN: 2961-9890. Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is published four times a year in September, December, March and June. Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan receives 50 articles per issue. Abstract

In the current era of rapid technological development, the need for information technology is very high. This also applies to archive management, which has an important role as a source of information and functions as assessment material in decision making and preparing institutional development programs. This service program aims to develop an archive management system at the Brahu Village Hall Office, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency. Currently, management of letter archives is still done manually, so the process of searching, storing and managing letters and archival documents still requires a lot of time and energy. The results of this service program in developing and implementing a letter archiving information system at the Brahu Village Hall Office are increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of letter processing, as well as speeding up the process of searching for information and making decisions. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Explicit Instruction learning model on student learning outcomes in basic electricity subjects. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the research design used being a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in the research carried out was all students in class X TITL SMKN 1 Merdeka, Karo Regency, consisting of two classes with a total of 72 students. The research sample consisted of two classes taken using random sampling techniques, namely class X TITL-1 with a total of 36 students as the experimental group taught using the Explicit Instruction model and class X TITL-2 with a total of 36 students as the control group taught using the by using expository learning. The instrument used in this research was a multiple choice test consisting of 35 questions. The research results showed that the average score obtained by students during the pre-test showed a significant change when students did the post-test, namely in the experimental class the pre-test was 44.17 and the post-test was 77.35, while in the control class the pre-test was 43.37. and post-test 71.14, so it is concluded that there is a positive influence of using the Explicit Instruction learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test and analyze the influence of the Locus Of Control, personality and motivation on the performance of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business of PGRI University Semarang. This type of research uses quantitative research with primary data sources to find out the population of this survey is a student of the faculty of economics and business of the University PGRI Semarang using a sample of 30 responded that represents students of School of Business and Economics.This research uses the help of IBM SPSS Statitic Version 26 using double linear refraction. The results show that:(1) the Locus Of Control has no significant impact on performance,(2) the personality has a significant influence on achievement,3) the motivation of a partial influence is significant on performance.

Abstract

This community service is in SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru. The material provided is to share good practices in implementing innovative learning models. The application of varied learning models can eliminate student boredom and hone students' learning abilities, which has a positive effect on student success. This training is expected to help students think critically, reason, solve problems and make decisions. The impact that this activity is increasing teacher understanding regarding the application of innovative learning models.

This study aims to determine trends in ethnomathematics exploratory research and see research opportunities on connection capabilities in the future. This research uses bibliometric analysis method. The data in this study were obtained through Google Scholar from 2017 - 2022 with the keywords mathematical connection ability. Researchers analyzed 1000 original articles from 2017 - 2022. This study utilized PoP and VOSviewers software to analyze the data.

Abstract

The increasingly rare and expensive conditions of chemical fertilizers commonly used by farmers have made farmers, including partners, start looking for solutions by using organic fertilizers as a combination. However, a problem has emerged that partners are currently facing, namely related to the production process of organic fertilizers made from goat manure (kohe). The characteristics of goat kohe which takes quite a long time to decompose, means that farmers have to wait approximately one month for the decomposition process, which can then be applied as basic fertilizer on agricultural land. Efforts to accelerate the decomposition process have been carried out by partners, namely by crushing or grinding goat kohe by manually pounding it. This stage requires quite a lot of time and energy, so it is considered inefficient. This is due to the lack of technology adopted in the partner environment. Based on the conditions and problems faced by partners, this activity will offer a solution in the form of goat kohe processing technology as a raw material for organic fertilizer. This community service activity is carried out by providing counseling and training (practice) on how to make organic fertilizer from goat kohe, which is accompanied by direct application of the use of a goat kohe crusher.

Abstract

This community service is carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Tapung. The aim of this community service activity is to provide teachers with knowledge and skills in creating e-learning using Moodle as well as creating learning media into e-learning that has been created to help the learning process. In this way, it is hoped that teachers will be able to optimize existing ICT facilities in schools. The mechanism for implementing activities in general is in the form of planning/preparation, implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The result is that all teachers already know how to use e-learning moodle and create subjects, teacher profiles, upload materials, and create questions in e-learning at SMKN 1 Tapung.

Abstract

This workshop aims to improve the competency of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota in utilizing Moodle as an online learning platform. Moodle was chosen because it is a popular and easily accessible Learning Management System (LMS), allowing teachers to create, manage and monitor learning processes more effectively. Workshop activities include a basic introduction to Moodle, course creation, management of teaching materials, and evaluation using the features available in Moodle. The methods used in this workshop are face-to-face training, simulations and direct practice using the Moodle platform. It is hoped that after attending this workshop, teachers will be more skilled in using Moodle to support teaching and learning activities at SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota, so that they can improve the quality of learning and adapt technology in the educational process.

Abstract

This Community Service Research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Mandau. The problem faced by partners is the limited knowledge about AI and its use in learning. Thus, the purpose of this training is so that teachers have sufficient knowledge and understanding of AI so that they can use it in learning practices at school. With various features offered by the Kahoot application, learning becomes interactive, this is also supported by a lot of literature and research stating that learning with Kahoot can attract students' interest in learning. The results of this training are that teachers gain additional and in-depth knowledge about AI applications, an introduction to the Kahoot application and the practice of making quizzes or formative evaluation questions for each teacher according to the subjects taught at school. All the activities that were trained went smoothly, the teachers were actively involved and enthusiastic in the practice of making evaluation questions with Kahoot.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of technology on the dynamics of social life. Through a literature review research method, this research found that technology has brought significant changes in the way humans interact, communicate and socialize. On the one hand, technology makes it easier to access information, expands social networks, and encourages innovation. However, on the other hand, technology can also trigger social isolation, raise privacy issues, and change existing social norms. This research concludes that the influence of technology on social life is complex and multidimensional, so further studies need to be carried out to understand its long-term impact.
