Abstract

This study aims to develop students' mathematical thinking skills through problem-solving problem-solving strategy training for elementary school teachers in Kampar Regency. The training consisted of several sessions that combined theory, practice, and evaluation of questions prepared by participants. The results showed that the training successfully improved teachers' ability to prepare questions that not only tested basic understanding but also encouraged students to think critically and creatively. Teachers reported increased confidence in preparing more challenging and applicable questions, which could stimulate students' mathematical thinking skills. Although there were some challenges in determining the level of difficulty of the questions, the evaluation results showed that the training had a positive impact on improving the quality of mathematics learning. Post-training mentoring is needed to ensure the sustainability of the implementation of the questions that have been prepared. These findings indicate that practice-based training can improve the quality of mathematics education and provide significant benefits for the development of students' mathematical thinking skills.

Abstract

Most pharmacies that sell their merchandise have sales transaction data. Daily sales transaction data will cause data accumulation, because of the many sales transactions that occur every day. To increase sales, a pharmacy must have important information in increasing its sales, one way is to process the accumulated transaction data into useful information. This information can be used to create a business policy, namely by implementing the information into a business strategy. A pharmacy definitely needs business strategies to develop its business. In the business field, the results of implementing Data Mining with the Apriori Algorithm can help business people in making decisions about what is related to inventory.

Abstract

The broadcasting industry in Indonesia faces significant challenges in ensuring that broadcast programs comply with regulations established by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) through the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS). This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the competencies of employees in the Program Operations Division, particularly in the Transcription and Programming sections of MNC Group, in evaluating the eligibility of broadcast programs. Through a workshop involving two communication science lecturers, this training integrates the regulatory perspective of P3SPS with technical audio-visual standards. The results of the activity indicate an improvement in participants' understanding of broadcasting evaluation principles and their ability to apply technical and regulatory standards in daily work.

Abstract

The objectives of this community service are: (1) To provide knowledge to elementary school teachers related to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning approach; (2) To provide knowledge to elementary school teachers related to integration in mathematics learning; (3) To provide skills to elementary school teachers related to the STEAM learning approach; (4) To instill values ​​and attitudes to elementary school teachers related to the STEAM learning approach. The training method for the STEAM learning approach to SDN 192 teachers is through: (1) Expository; (2) Questions and Answers; (3) Discussion; (4) Demonstration; (5) Focus Group Discussion (FGD); (6) Project method. The instruments used in community service are: (1) Power Point; (2) Copy of STEAM learning approach materials;. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observations and documentation. Data are analyzed qualitatively. The conclusion in this community service is as follows: (1) Elementary school teachers have knowledge related to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning approach; (2) Elementary school teachers have values ​​and attitudes related to the STEAM learning approach; (4) Elementary school teachers have values ​​and attitudes that can be instilled in elementary school children related to the STEAM learning approach.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education does not only depend on teaching skills, but also on teachers' ability to conduct research and produce scientific works. One of the obstacles often faced by teachers is the lack of knowledge and skills in accessing and analyzing relevant scientific references to support their professional development. This study aims to provide training in the use of the Publish or Perish application to teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Somambawa in order to improve their ability to search for, analyze, and utilize scientific references. This activity is motivated by the need for teachers to improve their academic competence, especially in conducting research and scientific publications. The method used is direct training which includes material presentation, application usage practice, and group discussions. The results of the training showed that teachers were able to understand the functions of Publish or Perish, such as searching for scientific articles, citation analysis, and managing references effectively. The evaluation showed an increase in participants' understanding of how to search for relevant and reliable literature. Thus, this training makes a real contribution to supporting the development of teacher professionalism in the field of research and scientific publication.

Abstract

From this community service activity, it can be concluded that the Dissemination of Independent Curriculum Learning was carried out to welcome the new school year, where Sekolah Dasar Pahlawan is one of the schools that will implement the independent curriculum with changing independent choices. Principals and teachers at educational units that will implement the independent curriculum with changing independent choices must utilize the teaching tools available in the Independent curriculum learning. The dissemination activity was carried out with two materials, namely Differentiated Learning and Numeracy Literacy; presentation and discussion of Independent Curriculum Learning; and Follow-up Plan. In the presentation and discussion activities on Independent Curriculum Learning, the features and problems experienced by teachers were discussed. Dissemination of Independent Curriculum Learning is very important for teachers whose schools will implement the independent curriculum.

Abstract

Transparent and accountable financial management is a pressing need for non-profit organizations, including mosques, to enhance the trust of congregants and donors. Unfortunately, many mosques in Indonesia lack adequate financial reporting systems due to limited human resources and accounting knowledge. This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of mosque administrators in Padukuhan Sonopakis Lor, Kasihan Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, in preparing financial reports that comply with ISAK 35 standards. The methods used included lectures, training, mentoring, and hands-on practice in financial report preparation. The results showed that most mosque administrators successfully understood basic accounting principles, recorded transactions, and prepared financial reports, despite challenges such as limited competencies and initial resistance from mosque administrators. Through persuasive approaches and intensive training, the resulting financial reports met the transparency and accountability standards of ISAK 35. Ongoing mentoring is recommended to ensure the sustainability of this practice, serving as a model of best practices for other mosques.

Abstract

The Workshop on Using Quizizz in Mathematics Learning in Schools aims to introduce and train educators in using the Quizizz platform as an innovative and interactive learning tool. By using Quizizz, teachers can design interesting, game-based quizzes to increase student motivation and engagement in mathematics learning. This workshop discusses effective ways to integrate Quizizz in various mathematics topics, as well as providing examples of applying quizzes for basic to advanced material. Apart from that, participants are also taught about analyzing quiz results to assess student understanding and design appropriate follow-up. Through this training, it is hoped that teachers can optimize the use of technology in the classroom, enrich students' learning experiences, and create a fun and interactive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This community service aims to: (1) Provide education and training on the development of cooperative-based Adobe Flash-assisted learning media to training participants (teachers), (2) Improve spatial and good mental attitudes, to compile their own open modules. This community service was carried out at UPT SD Negeri 064023 Medan. The partner in this activity is UPT SD Negeri 064023 Medan. The methods in this community service are: (1) Analyze the situation and needs, (2) After analyzing the situation and needs, the next step is to determine the objectives of PKM, (3) Design training models, mentoring and workshops, (4) Expert validation, (5) Implementation, (6) Evaluation of the results of this activity include: (1) participants understand and can create teaching materials in the form of modules, lks, (2) the motivation of participants to create their own teaching modules increases.

Abstract

Merangin Village is one of the villages included in the Kuok District area which was previously called West Bangkinang District with an area of 10,037 Ha. Which initially consisted of five hamlets, including Dusun Pulau Terap II, Dusun Pulau Terap Tengah, Dusun Pulau Terap I, Dusun Lereng, and Dusun Rantau Berangin. Merangin was expanded, for the smooth running of government in this village. A criminal act can be defined as an act which, if violated, will result in clear sanctions and in accordance with the Criminal Code. The presence of criminal law in society is intended to provide a sense of security to individuals and groups of society in carrying out their daily activities. Criminal cases arise because there is a criminal act that is handled by law enforcement. Criminal cases always arise whenever there is a criminal process. Criminal acts or crimes are an inseparable part of life in society. One of the criminal cases that often occurs in society is criminal acts that have value or are light and not dangerous, namely petty theft.
