Abstract

The nature of science has become one of the main themes in philosophical studies, particularly from an ontological perspective. Ontology, as a branch of philosophy that discusses existence and reality, views science as a systematic effort by humans to understand the existing reality. In the ontological framework, science is identified through the existence of the subject of study, the fundamental properties of the reality being examined, and the relationship between the subject (human) and the object being studied. This research is a library study, which means that the research uses library sources such as books, journals, and articles to analyze and support the study of the Nature of Science regarding Ontological Studies. The data analysis used is content analysis. The results of this research indicate that there are 5 schools of thought within the study of ontology that explain the nature of knowledge.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the relationship between Islamic education and the sharia economy in the development of the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School Business Entity (BUMPes) in Paiton, Probolinggo. Despite numerous studies on the pesantren's economic role, we still lack a comprehensive understanding of how Islamic education directly impacts the management and sustainability of BUMPes. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews with BUMPes managers, involved students, and teachers at the pesantren. We also obtained data by directly observing the business activities conducted by BUMPes. The research findings indicate that Islamic education provides a strong foundation for BUMPes managers in applying sharia economic principles, such as justice and transparency in transactions. Additionally, the students involved in BUMPes experience an increase in managerial skills and understanding of sharia financial management. This research also identifies the challenges faced in the implementation of Sharia economic principles, including the lack of resources and external support. Thus, this research emphasizes the importance of integrating Islamic education and sharia economics to support business development in the pesantren environment. We expect the results of this research to aid in the development of the educational curriculum in pesantren and offer valuable insights for policymakers to support sharia-based micro-enterprises.

Abstract

This study examines the development of Arabic learning video media that integrates gender equality values for students at the vocational or high school level. So far, gender representation in Arabic learning media tends to be biased, with stereotypical role visualizations between men and women. The focus of this research is to design and evaluate gender-responsive learning videos, especially in conversation materials in Arabic. This research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods and interpretivism paradigms. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and tested for validity using source triangulation. The results of the study show that there are four values of gender equality that have been successfully integrated in video media, namely: control, access, benefits, and participation. The developed videos not only improve Arabic comprehension, but also provide an equal and inclusive learning experience for both male and female students. This study contributes to enriching value-based foreign language learning media innovations, as well as providing an initial model for the development of gender-fair learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of 3D media integration and interactive videos in improving speaking skills (maharah kalam) of Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. The background of this study is the low ability of students in speaking Arabic due to monotonous learning methods and minimal interaction. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, classroom observations, and questionnaires. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students of class VIII MTs Miftahul Ulum Rambipuji Jember who were actively involved in this technology-based learning. The results showed significant improvement in vocabulary (from 58% to 86%), sentence structure (52% to 81%), and contex-tual application (47% to 79%). 3D media was shown to strengthen visual comprehension and linguistic context, while interactive videos encouraged active participation and better pronunciation through immedi-ate feedback. The findings indicate that an integrative approach between visual and interactive media can improve students' cognitive and affective aspects simultaneously. The study recommends wider implemen-tation of digital media in the Arabic curriculum as well as continuous teacher training to maximize the po-tential of technology in improving students' productive skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using audio, visual, and multimedia media in teaching Arabic in the increasingly developing digital era. In the context of modern education, the utilization of technology is crucial for enhancing the quality of learning. By employing a mixed-method approach, this research combines quantitative and qualitative data to provide a more comprehensive picture of the impact of media on students' learning outcomes. The findings indicate that the use of audio media significantly contributes to the improvement of students' listening skills, which is an essential aspect of mastering the Arabic language. Additionally, visual media, such as images and graphics, have proven effective in reinforcing vocabulary comprehension, allowing students to more easily remember and use new words in the appropriate context. Audiovisual media, which combines audio and visual elements, creates a more interactive and engaging learning experience, leading to greater student involvement in the learning process. Furthermore, this study also found that the use of interactive media, such as educational applications and online learning platforms, can significantly enhance student participation. Thus, this research highlights the importance of integrating appropriate media in Arabic language teaching to improve student motivation and learning outcomes, as well as providing recommendations for educators to leverage technology in the learning process.

Abstract

The existing Islamic religious education curriculum shows a clear separation between subjects like Al-Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqidah, and the history of Islamic culture. Full integration of these elements is lacking, but it has the potential to improve students' religious experiences by providing comprehensive support for worship. Madrasah institutions face challenges related to ownership, environment, and teachers adapting to technological advancements in the current era. This study aims to explore how PAI (Islamic Religious Education) teachers implement innovative approaches in madrasahs. Employing a qualitative research design with a literature review methodology, information was gathered from various regulations, books, and magazines. We opted for a qualitative approach to explore innovative curriculum changes that can improve the quality of millennial-era madrasahs with Islamic characteristics. The literature review exposed a predominant focus on subject-centric designs influenced by teachers and infrastructure in constructing Islamic religious education curricula in madrasahs. In response, a proposed ideal model emphasizes an integrated learning approach tailored for the millennium era. This model strives to enhance Islamic language skills through integration. The study concludes by underlining key themes: innovation, curriculum development, Islamic religious education, madrasah, and the era of Society 5.0.
