Abstract

This paper is the result of an investigation that aims to 1) synthesize social problems in Patani i.e., the three southern border regions of Thailand (known as Patani), 2) compose poems that reflect social problems, and 3) create youth responsibility for social problems in the southern border regions of Thailand. This research is quasi-experimental research. The instruments used in this research are 1) a synthetic form of social problems in the three southern border provinces of Thailand, 2) a contemporary Malay poet PUISI assessment form, and 3) a PUISIDRA competition rubric assessment model. The sample group used in the study was A total of 120 youths in the southern border provinces conducted self-data collection, there are 3 stages in the process, consisting of 1) pre-writing poetry, 2) poetry writing process, and 3) post-responsibility stage of social problems. The results showed that the synthesis of social problems in the three southern border provinces of Thailand into 10 problems, as follows: 1) education problem 2) security problem 3) violence problem 4) drug problem 5) adultery problem 6) technology problem 7) religion problem 8) filial piety problem 9) economic problem and 10) corruption problem. There are also poetry compositions reflecting social problems. The poems that have been written are 100 poems, which amount to 124 pages. Abstract

Penulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena dari hasil pengamatan ditemukan bahwa siswa malas buat tugas, kurangnya perhatian orang tua karena orang tua lebih membiayai sekolah tapi tidak pernah belajar siswa maupun tugas yang diberikan oleh guru di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk Mengetahui Peranan Orang Tua dalam Memotivasi belajar Siswa dengan mengetahui hasil belajar di MTsN Padang Panjang, Peranan Orang Tua dalam Memotivasi belajar Siswa dengan pemberian hadiah dan hukuman di MTsN Padang Panjang, Peranan Orang Tua dalam Memotivasi belajar Siswa dengan menyediakan alat dan fasilitas belajar di MTsN Padang Panjang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penulisan ini penulis memperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penulisan ini menggunakan yakni informan kunci guru Orang tua, dan informan pendukung adalah siswa. Teknik analisis data yang penulis lakukan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Kemudian teknik keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi Sumber Kata Kunci : Peranan, Orangtua, Motivasi Siswa

Abstract

The problem addressed in this research is the low proficiency in the sepak sila skills among athletes in the city of Sungai Penuh. The objective of this study is to determine the contribution of balance and eye-foot coordination to sepak sila takraw performance among athletes in the city of Sungai Penuh in the year 2023. The research design employed in this study is correlational genfa. The sample size for this research consisted of 16 individuals. The research instruments used included balance tests, eye-foot coordination tests, and sepak sila tests. The data analysis technique utilized correlation tests and calculation of contribution values. The findings of the research lead to the following conclusions: (1) There is a 90% contribution of balance to sepak sila performance among sepak takraw athletes in the city of Sungai Penuh in the year 2023. (2) There is a 91% contribution of eye-foot coordination to sepak sila performance among sepak takraw athletes in the city of Sungai Penuh in the year 2023. (3) There is a 96% contribution of both balance and eye-foot coordination to sepak sila performance among sepak takraw athletes in the city of Sungai Penuh in the year 2023.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the physical condition of female volleyball players in the extracurricular club at SMAN 4 Kerinci. The type of research is descriptive quantitative, the population consists of 16 students who participate in the extracurricular club. The sample is determined using total sampling technique, i.e., taking the entire population as a sample. Data is analyzed using descriptive techniques and subsequently presented in the form of tables and diagrams. The results of the research indicate that the level of physical condition of the female volleyball players in SMA Negeri 4 Kerinci can be specifically concluded from several components that most affect the result of the physical condition level itself, namely the push-up strength test very good there is 1 person (6%), good there are 6 people (38%), category sufficient there are 3 people (19%), category less good there are 5 people (31%), and one person belongs to the category very less good (6%). The results of the speed test are very good there are 2 people (13%), good there are 8 people (50%), category sufficient there are 5 people (31%), category less good there is 1 person (6%), and no one belongs to the category very less good (0%) and the results of the Squat Thrus test are very good there are 4 people (25%), good there are 5 people (31%), category sufficient there are 4 people (25%), category less good there are 3 people (19%), and no one belongs to the category very less good (0%). Based on the average value which is 45.4375, which means the level of physical condition of the female volleyball players in SMA Negeri 4 Kerinci is in the good category.

Abstract

This paper probes into the multifaceted issues surrounding violence against women and challenges to girls' education in Liberia. Coomaraswamy's 2002 research underscored the role of cultural behaviors in family structures contributing significantly to violence against women. King and Winthrop's 2015 study explored factors such as poverty, gender norms, and cultural expectations, contributing to discussions on fair educational opportunities. Cunningham et al.'s 2023 research delved into gender disparities across economic, educational, healthcare, and political spheres, employing a women's empowerment perspective. Theoretical frameworks rooted in gender and social norm theories were employed to understand the impact of cultural identity on preschool girls' education in Liberia. The study focused on evaluating negative effects on preschool girls in Bong, Lofa, and Nimba counties, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions to create a supportive environment. Coomaraswamy's 2002 insistence on rejecting the use of cultural considerations to justify violence against girls resonates globally. The study also highlighted disparities in girls' primary school enrollment rates in the region compared to the global average, emphasizing the urgency of addressing educational inequalities. Overall, this paper contributes valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and communities, advocating for positive change in Liberia's educational landscape and women's empowerment.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the lessons with a structured, systematic learning pattern and closely related to facts, concepts, and problem solving procedures. In general, at MAS NU Sibuhuan school, in the process of learning mathematics, teachers still rely on the lecture method which results in learning that focuses on the process. This results in low comprehension of mathematical concepts. To overcome this, teachers should use appropriate learning models, therefore researchers use the PMR model. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the PMR to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts of grade X students of MAS NU Sibuhuan. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasi-experimental research methods with Prettest-Posttest Only Control Group Design research design. This study had two sample groups, namely experimental classes with PMR learning models and control classes with conventional learning models. The research data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney test. From the results of the study, it can be seen that based on the hypothesis testing criteria with a significant level of ? = 0.05 testing criteria, a significant 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained. Based on its decision-making criteria, H0 is accepted. So, there is an influence of a realistic mathematical approach to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts of grade X students of MAS NU Sibuhuan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of mathematical representation of Grade X OTKP 2023/2024 Academic Year during mathematics with implementation of investigation in increase ability representation mathematical . The type of research is classroom researh of two cycles based on teaching syllabus of the mathematics teacher in class x otkp . Each cycle is carried ot based on the competency standards to be achieved in learning. The cycle in this class action research through four stages, namely: planning of action; implementation of action; observation and evaluation; reflection. Based on the result of research conducted on the Grade x otkp 2023/2024 Academic Year on the competency standards: solving system of linear equation of one variable learning model in the group investigation improve the ability of mathematical representation, which are : respones and learning outcomes shown in cycle II are primly good and the students mathematical representation test capability in each cycle has improve signivicantly, until 80% on the last cycle. Moreover, the results showed that there are only 3 students from of 20 students who obtain score 70 which is the minimum completeness criteria set by the school . Therefore, learning by applying learning model group investigation can improve the ability of mathematical representation.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to find out wheter there is a significant correlation between part of speech and student ability in writing descriptive text. Tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun are the population, which is consisted of 160 students and the sample was taken by cluster sampling that consist of 54 students. This script is carried by using experimental method. The instrument used for collecting the data is test. After collecting the data, it was analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment. after analyzing the data, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between part of speech and student ability in writing descriptive text at the grade tenth students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Barumun and categorized very good. By using the statistical analysis, based in the table of “r” value at the degree of significance of 5% with df 52, it is found that the value of 5 % of degree of significance is 0.266. The result is robserver is higher than rtable (0.67 > 0.266). It is found that the value of coefficient of Determination is 45 %, means the parts of speech is affected students’ writing ability as much as 45%. It can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted Keyword : Part of Speech, Descriptive text, writing.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the effect of grammar translation method on students’ writing narrative text ability at the tenth grade students of MAS Al – Hakimiyah Paringgonan. The research design of this research is experimental research by using “one group pre –test and post test design. Where the writer did an experiment in a single group only. The population of this research are students from tenth grade which is consist of 159 students and get 39 students as sample which selected by using cluster sampling technique. The test is used as the instrument of this research, after collecting the data, it was analyzed using the t.test formula. The data analysis found that the mean or average of students' scores after the treatment is 82.17. Using the statistical analysis, the researchers get to 25.70, where the value of t.table is 2.024. It means that the value of t observed is greater than that of the t table (to = 25.70 > t table = 2.024). The alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted, After the calculation it is found that the gain score is 0.7. the score of 0.7 can be classified as middle effect, means that grammar translation method effectively affect students’ ability in writing narrative text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran PAIKEM yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X AKL SMK S Al-Fajar Sibuhuan pada materi matriks. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Paikem di kelas X Akl SMKS Al-Fajar Sibuhuan pada materi matriks. Perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran paikem untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus, dilalui dalam 4 tahap dalam masing-masing siklus yaitu: tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan atau observasi dan tahap refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran paikem dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika di kelas X AKL SMK S Al-Fajar sibuhuan. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari sebelum tindakan yang hanya mencapai 35%, lalu meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 70%, dan meningkat lebih signifikan pada siklus II menjadi 85%. Sehingga peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari obsevasi awal sampai siklus II sebesar 50%.
