Abstract

The development of human resource quality, especially teachers, is a necessity for Islamic educational institutions, as teachers in schools are one of the key components and the main factor in the success of the teaching and learning process. School quality, particularly the quality of students, is often associated with the quality of its teachers, given that teachers are directly involved and interact with students in the classroom. Pedagogic competence refers to the ability to manage student learning, which includes understanding students, designing and implementing learning, evaluating learning outcomes, and developing students to actualize their potential. Pengembangan mutu sumber daya manusia, khususnya guru, merupakan keharusan bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam, karena guru di institusi sekolah adalah salah satu komponen penting dan kunci utama keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Mutu sekolah, khususnya mutu anak didik, sering dikaitkan dengan mutu guru-gurunya, mengingat guru adalah orang yang langsung terlibat dan berhadapan dengan anak didik di kelas. Kompetensi pedagogik merupakan kemampuan mengelola pembelajaran peserta didik yang meliputi pemahaman terhadap peserta didik, perancangan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, evaluasi hasil belajar, dan pengembangan peserta didik untuk mengaktualisasikan berbagai potensi yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

Early childhood education is an effort of construction aimed at children from birth to six years old through the provision of educational stimuli to assist physical and spiritual growth and development so that children are ready to enter further education. According to religion, children are very valuable assets for future investment, both secular and ukhrawi. These assets are invested as much as possible so that the child would become a perfect human being (insan kamil). Based on the presentation and analysis of data, it can generally be concluded that: (1) the understanding of the basic concepts of early childhood character education at Al Barokah Islamic Boarding School PAUD is quite diverse, (2) the implementation of learning methods for early childhood character education uses several methods, such as conditioning, example, storytelling, field trips, and demonstration, (3) the barriers faced include language, the number of teachers, educational tools (APE), and textbooks. Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan upaya pembinaan yang ditujukan kepada anak sejak lahir hingga usia enam tahun melalui pemberian rangsangan pendidikan untuk membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fisik dan spiritual agar anak memiliki kesiapan memasuki pendidikan lebih lanjut. Menurut agama, anak adalah aset yang sangat berharga untuk investasi masa depan, baik duniawi maupun ukhrawi. Aset ini diinvestasikan semaksimal mungkin agar anak menjadi manusia sempurna (insan kamil). Berdasarkan penyajian dan analisis data, secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) pemahaman konsep dasar pendidikan karakter anak usia dini di PAUD Pondok Pesantren Al Barokah cukup beragam, (2) implementasi metode pembelajaran pendidikan karakter anak usia dini dilakukan dengan beberapa metode, seperti metode pembiasaan, keteladanan, kisah, karyawisata, dan demonstrasi, (3) kendala yang dihadapi meliputi bahasa, jumlah guru, alat peraga edukatif (APE), dan buku pelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the application of task assignment methods, learning motivation, and student learning activities, both individually and simultaneously, on the learning outcomes of students at Madrasah Aliyah in Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School, Jember, during the 2013/2014 academic year. This quantitative research involved 80 respondents, with sampling conducted using proportional random sampling. Data collection instruments included a questionnaire with five answer alternatives (Likert scale) and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using statistical methods: (1) correlation test, (2) regression, followed by (3) path analysis. The results showed that (1) the task assignment method had a positive and significant influence on student learning outcomes, with an effect of 16.73%. (2) Learning motivation had a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes, with an effect of 2.07%. (3) Learning activities had a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes, with an effect of 9.24%. (4) Simultaneously, the task assignment method, learning motivation, and learning activities significantly influenced student learning success, with an effect of 91.89%, while the remaining 8.11% was influenced by other factors not explained in this study. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan metode pemberian tugas, motivasi belajar, aktivitas belajar peserta didik baik secara individu maupun secara simultan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik Madrasah Aliyah di Lingkungan Pondok Pesantren Al-Qodiri Jember tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, dengan responden berjumlah 80 peserta didik, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan lima alternatif jawaban (skala Likert) dan dokumenter. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik (1) uji korelasi, (2) regresi, dilanjutkan (3) path analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Metode pemberian tugas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tinggi rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik, dengan pengaruh sebesar 16,73%. (2) Motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik, dengan pengaruh sebesar 2,07%. (3) Aktivitas belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik, dengan pengaruh sebesar 9,24%. (4) Secara simultan metode pemberian tugas, motivasi belajar, dan aktivitas belajar berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keberhasilan belajar peserta didik, dengan pengaruh sebesar 91,89% dan sisanya sebesar 8,11% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak dapat dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The government's efforts to produce qualified and competent human resources are inseparable from the role of professional teachers. The government's commitment to accelerating the improvement of teacher quality is through competency standards and teacher certification. Certification facilitates overcoming obstacles to achieving goals, rather than being the goal itself. Certified teachers aim not merely to receive incentives/professional allowances but to demonstrate their competence as a standard requirement; the allowance is a logical consequence of their proven ability—competence correlates directly with reward. This research was conducted at Islamic Senior High Schools in the Kaliwates sub-district, Jember Regency, using a quantitative approach and comparative study design. Data collection methods included questionnaires and checklists, with statistical analysis employing t-tests and hypothesis testing by comparing t-count and t-table. The results concluded significant differences between certified and non-certified teachers in material mastery, teaching processes, interpersonal relationships, and classroom-based assessment. Upaya pemerintah yang berorientasi menghasilkan sumber daya manusia berkualitas dan kompeten tidak lepas dari kiprah seorang guru yang profesional. Komitmen pemerintah dalam rangka percepatan peningkatan kualitas tenaga kependidikan (guru) adalah melakukan standar kompetensi dan sertifikasi guru. Sertifikasi dapat memfasilitasi permasalahan-permasalahan yang dapat menjadi kendala untuk mencapai suatu tujuan, bukan tujuan itu sendiri. Guru yang sudah mengikuti sertifikasi, sejatinya bukan untuk mendapatkan insentif belaka/tunjangan profesi, melainkan untuk dapat menunjukkan bahwa yang bersangkutan telah memiliki kompetensi sebagai syarat standar kompetensi guru; tunjangan profesi adalah konsekuensi logis yang menyertai adanya kemampuan yang dimaksud, dengan kata lain kompetensi berbanding lurus dengan reward. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren di wilayah kecamatan Kaliwates Kabupaten Jember. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian komparasi. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner dan checklist. Analisis statistik menggunakan Uji t dan uji hipotesis dengan membandingkan t hitung dengan t tabel. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan bagi guru yang sudah sertifikasi dan guru yang belum mengikuti sertifikasi baik dalam penguasaan materi, proses pembelajaran, hubungan interpersonal, dan penilaian berbasis kelas.

Abstract

As is widely known, adolescent development occurs integrally, meaning that the functions of their psyche influence each other organically. Therefore, throughout their development, they greatly need guidance from more mature and responsible individuals, as their nature makes them highly susceptible to external influences, both positive and negative. This study focuses on investigating the implications of Aqidah Akhlak education on the behavior of female students at Madrasah Aliyah “ASHRI” Jember in 2014, specifically covering the implementation of Aqidah Akhlak education and the behavior of female students at Madrasah Aliyah “ASHRI” in the Islamic Boarding School “As Shiddiqi Puteri” Jember. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach as the foundational paradigm, with questionnaires as the primary data collection technique, supplemented by interviews and observations. The results indicate that, in general, Aqidah Akhlak education has a strong implication on the behavior of female students at Madrasah Aliyah “ASHRI” Jember. Seperti diketahui bersama bahwa perkembangan remaja berproses secara integral, dalam arti fungsi-fungsi jiwanya saling mempengaruhi secara organik. Oleh karena itu, sepanjang perkembangannya mereka sangat membutuhkan bimbingan dari orang yang lebih dewasa dan yang bertanggung jawab terhadap jiwa para remaja, yang menurut tabiatnya mereka sangat terbuka terhadap pengaruh dari luar, baik pengaruh positif maupun negatif. Fokus dalam penelitian ini berusaha menyelidiki bagaimana implikasi pendidikan Aqidah Akhlak terhadap perilaku siswi Madrasah Aliyah “ASHRI” Jember tahun 2014, yang secara spesifik meliputi; bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan Aqidah Akhlak dan perilaku siswi di Madrasah Aliyah “ASHRI” lingkungan Pondok Pesantren “As Shiddiqi Puteri” Jember. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif sebagai dasar paradigma, populasi dan sampel penelitian, teknik angket sebagai teknik primer dalam pengumpulan data, wawancara dan observasi sebagai teknik bantu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum implikasi pendidikan Aqidah Akhlak sangat kuat terhadap perilaku siswi di Madrasah Aliyah “ASHRI” Jember.

Abstract

The discourse on character education has been strongly promoted as an effort to address the aforementioned social issues in education. Therefore, it is no surprise that the discourse on character education is widely discussed, debated, and deliberated across various media, including print (newspapers, magazines, tabloids, bulletins), online platforms, TV, and others. In several academic forums such as seminars, dialogues, discussions, workshops, and training programs, issues related to youth and their disparities are consistently brought up. Even education practitioners engage in addressing these current issues. Wacana mengenai pendidikan karakter begitu kuat diwacanakan. Hal itu sebagai upaya untuk menjawab masalah-masalah sosial pendidikan di atas. Sehingga, tidak heran jika wacana pendidikan karakter begitu ramai diperbincangkan, diperdebatkan, dan didiskusikan mulai dari media cetak (koran, majalah, tabloid, buletin), media online, TV, dan lain sebagainya. Dalam beberapa forum ilmiah, seperti seminar, dialog, sarasehan, workshop, diklat, masalah remaja dan disparitasnya selalu diperbincangkan. Bahkan praktisi pendidikan pun melakukan pendidikan terkait dengan isu-isu aktual tersebut.

Abstract

The emergence of counter-productive elements in the world of education has led to symptoms among youths, even adults, showing that they ignore the moral values and manners needed in a civilized society. Concerns about moral decadence are like a double-edged knife. If you look for the root of the problem in others, it essentially lies within yourself; thus, blaming others means blaming yourself. Therefore, it is necessary to find solutions and moral education through appropriate actions. This research on the "Applicative-Integrative Model of Moral Education in SMP 2 Jember" is conducted based on these concerns. Munculnya hal-hal yang kontraproduktif dalam dunia pendidikan telah menyebabkan munculnya gejala-gejala di kalangan pemuda, bahkan orang dewasa, yang menunjukkan bahwa mereka mengabaikan nilai-nilai moral dan sopan santun yang diperlukan dalam masyarakat yang beradab. Kekhawatiran akan dekadensi moral ibarat pisau bermata dua. Jika Anda mencari akar masalah pada orang lain, pada dasarnya itu adalah akar masalah diri sendiri; sehingga menyalahkan orang lain berarti juga menyalahkan diri sendiri. Oleh karena itu, perlu dicari solusi dan pendidikan moral dalam tindakan yang tepat. Penelitian tentang "Model Pendidikan Akhlak Aplikatif-Integratif di SMP 2 Jember" ini dilakukan berdasarkan keprihatinan tersebut.

Abstract

This qualitative research describes the struggle of politicians from Jember and Lumajang who applied political communication models. To become a winner in the parliamentary election in Jakarta, the politicians utilized Islamic boarding school masses as a political force. There were choices among political rhetoric, political agitation, political public relations, political propaganda, political campaigns, political lobbying, and political behavior to approach the Islamic boarding school masses, such as kyai and santri. All politicians believed that the Islamic boarding school masses possessed political power for their success. The politicians from the National Democrat (Nasdem) Party, the National Awakening Party, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, the Golkar Party, the Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party, the Democratic Party, and the National Mandate Party applied differentiated political strategies to persuade the Islamic boarding school masses. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggambarkan perjuangan politisi dari Jember dan Lumajang yang menerapkan model komunikasi politik. Untuk menjadi pemenang di parlemen Jakarta, politisi menggunakan massa pondok pesantren sebagai kekuatan politik. Terdapat pilihan antara retorika politik, agitasi politik, hubungan masyarakat politik, propaganda politik, kampanye politik, lobi politik, dan perilaku politik untuk mendekati massa pondok pesantren, seperti kyai dan santri. Semua politisi percaya bahwa massa pondok pesantren memiliki kekuatan politik untuk keberhasilan tujuan mereka. Para politisi dari Partai Nasional Demokrat (Nasdem), Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, Partai Golkar, Partai Gerakan Indonesia Raya (Gerindra), Partai Demokrat, dan Partai Amanat Nasional menerapkan strategi politik yang berbeda untuk membujuk massa pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Financial institutions are essentially intermediary institutions, positioned centrally between fund owners, depositors and borrowers, buyers and sellers. The banking sector, in particular, is not a factory or producer that generates money itself and then distributes or lends it to those in need. Thus, the primary function of the banking sector in macroeconomic policy infrastructure is directed toward how to make money effective in increasing economic value-added. As intermediaries, the first key capital of a financial institution is trust, the confidence of the parties it connects. In other words, the primary capital of a financial institution is professionalism, the ability to manage money or entrusted funds professionally. In short, these two key capitals—credibility and professionalism—are what every financial institution offers and sells. Lembaga keuangan pada dasarnya adalah sebuah lembaga perantara, berposisi sentral di antara pemilik dana, antara penyimpan dan peminjam, antara pembeli dan penjual. Lembaga keuangan khususnya sektor perbankan bukanlah sebuah pabrik atau produsen yang menghasilkan sendiri uang dan kemudian membagikan atau meminjamkannya kepada pihak-pihak yang membutuhkannya. Dengan demikian, fungsi utama sektor perbankan dalam infrastruktur kebijakan makro ekonomi memang diarahkan dalam konteks bagaimana menjadikan uang efektif untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah ekonomi. Sebagai lembaga perantara, modal utama pertama sebuah lembaga keuangan adalah kepercayaan, trust, yakni kepercayaan pihak-pihak yang dihubungkannya, dengan kata lain, modal pertama lembaga keuangan adalah profesionalisme, yakni profesionalitas dalam mengelola uang atau dana titipan yang diamanahkan kepadanya. Ringkas kata, kedua modal utama ini, yakni kredibilitas dan profesionalitas yang ditawarkan dan dijual oleh setiap lembaga keuangan.

Abstract

The existence of Islamic Theology, a discipline of Islamic studies focusing on God or Islamic creed, holds a significant position in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Considering that pesantren, to a certain extent, can be regarded as the base of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the existence of both is intriguing to study, especially concerning the theological system adhered to in pesantren within the context of NU's religious tradition. This research stems from the focus: how is pesantren theology in the context of NU's religious tradition (Case Study of Syarifuddin Islamic Boarding School, Lumajang)? It is then narrowed down to two aspects: (1) What are the doctrinal aspects of the theology of Syarifuddin Islamic Boarding School in Lumajang? (2) How are the doctrinal aspects of the theology of Syarifuddin Islamic Boarding School in the context of NU's religious tradition or model? The research objectives are formulated as follows: (1) to describe the doctrinal aspects of the theology of Syarifuddin Islamic Boarding School in Lumajang; and (2) to describe the doctrinal aspects of the theology of Syarifuddin Islamic Boarding School in the context of NU's religious tradition. To achieve these objectives, a qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model analysis technique by Miles and Huberman, and data validity was tested through source and method triangulation. After analyzing the collected data, the research conclusions are as follows. (1) The doctrinal aspects of pesantren theology are represented in its views on God's attributes, the concept of human actions, ru’yatullah (seeing God in the afterlife), and the concept of faith. God possesses attributes, and these attributes are neither His essence nor separate from His essence; all human actions, good and bad, are created by Allah, although there is an ineffective human contribution; God can be seen with the naked eye by believers in the afterlife; the essential element of faith is believing in the heart everything conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). (2) The theology of Syarifuddin Islamic Boarding School, viewed from its doctrinal aspects, aligns with and follows the Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah school, particularly the Ahl as-Sunnah Khalafiah Asy’ariyah, in line with NU's religious tradition or model. Keberadaan Teologi Islam, sebuah disiplin ilmu keislaman yang fokus bahasannya tentang Tuhan atau akidah Islam, menempati posisi penting di pondok pesantren dalam posisinya sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Indonesia. Dan mengingat pondok pesantren dalam batas tertentu bisa dikatakan basis Nahdlatul Ulama’ (NU) maka keberadaan keduanya menarik untuk dikaji, terutama menyangkut sistem teologi yang dipegangi di pesantren dalam konteks tradisi keberagamaan NU. Penelitian ini bertolak dari fokus penelitian: bagaimana teologi pesantren dalam konteks tradisi keberagamaan NU (Studi Kasus Pesantren Syarifuddin Lumajang)? Dan kemudian difokuskan pada dua hal berikut: (1) Bagaimana aspek doktrinal teologi pesantren Syarifuddin Lumajang? (2) Bagaimana aspek doktrinal teologi pesantren Syarifuddin Lumajang dalam konteks tradisi atau model keberagamaan NU? Adapun rumusan tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan aspek doktrinal teologi pesantren Syarifuddin Lumajang; dan (2) mendeskripsikan aspek doktrinal teologi pesantren Syarifuddin Lumajang dalam konteks tradisi keberagamaan NU. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian yang telah ditetapkan tersebut, dipergunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif jenis studi kasus, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik analisis model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, dan uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Setelah dilakukan analisis terhadap data yang telah terhimpun, akhirnya dihasilkan simpulan penelitian sebagai berikut ini. (1) Aspek doktrinal teologi pesantren terepresentasikan dalam pandangannya mengenai sifat Tuhan, konsep perbuatan (manusia), ru’yatullah, dan konsep iman. Tuhan memiliki sifat dan sifat itu bukan dzat Tuhan dan bukan pula lain dari dzat-Nya; semua perbuatan yang muncul dari manusia, baik dan buruk, diciptakan oleh Allah meski ada kontribusi manusia yang bersifat tidak efektif; Tuhan di akhirat bisa dilihat dengan mata kepala oleh orang beriman; unsur esensial iman adalah meyakini dengan hati segala yang disampaikan oleh Nabi Muhammad saw. (2) Teologi pesantren Syarifuddin dilihat dari aspek doktrinalnya adalah sejalan dan mengikuti madzhab Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah khususnya Ahl as-Sunnah Khalafiah Asy’ariyah sebagaimana tradisi atau model keberagamaan NU.
