Abstract

The urgent need for Arabic grammar (nahwu) teaching materials that stimulate Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) motivates this study. Previous studies have focused on fundamental cognitive aspects without systematically integrating HOTS into student worksheets (LKS), creating a significant gap, especially for Islamic boarding schools. This research and development (R&D) study used the ADDIE model. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and questionnaires at Al-Umm Malang Islamic Boarding School. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis were employed, and product validation involved subject matter and media experts. The developed HOTS-based student worksheet for "al-Nahwu al-Wadih" received excellent validation scores: 93.3% from content/language experts and 83% from media experts. A paired t-test showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05), confirming the product's effectiveness. The HOTS-based worksheet is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' understanding of Arabic grammar and critical thinking skills, offering an innovative solution to enhance nahwu learning. الدافع لهذه الدراسة هو الحاجة الملحة لمواد تعليم النحو العربي القادرة على تحفيز مهارات التفكير العليا. ركزت الدراسات السابقة على الجوانب المعرفية الأساسية دون دمج منهجية مهارات التفكير العليا في أوراق عمل الطلاب، مما خلق فجوة بحثية، خاصة في بيئة المعاهد الداخلية. استخدم هذا البحث منهج البحث والتطوير بنموذج ADDIE. تم جمع البيانات من خلال الملاحظات الصفية والمقابلات والاستبيانات في معهد الأم مالانج. استخدم تحليل البيانات النوعي والكمي، وشارك في التحقق من المنتج خبراء في المادة ووسائل الإعلام.  حصلت كراسة التدريبات المطورة القائمة على مهارات التفكير العليا لكتاب "النحو الواضح" على تقييم ممتاز: 93.3% من خبراء المحتوى واللغة و83% من خبراء التصميم. أظهر اختبار ت الزوجي تحسنا ذا دلالة إحصائية في نتائج تعلم الطالبات (0.000 < 0.05 Sig.)، مما يؤكد فعالية المنتج. كراسة التدريبات القائمة على مهارات التفكير العليا صالحة وعملية وفعالة في تحسين فهم قواعد اللغة العربية ومهارات التفكير النقدي لدى الطالبات، مما تقدم حلاً مبتكرًا لتعزيز تعلم النحو.

Abstract

This research addresses the urgent need for innovation in teaching Arabic reading skills at Islamic higher education institutions. Previous studies on Arabic learning have largely focused on literal understanding, with limited attention to fostering students’ critical thinking skills. This study aims to develop and evaluate Arabic reading materials based on critical thinking to bridge this gap. Employing a research and development method with the ADDIE model, this study was conducted at the Arabic Education Program, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Data were collected through questionnaires, tests, validation sheets, and interviews. Analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain. The results showed a significant improvement in students' reading abilities: post-test scores (M = 70.00) were significantly higher than pre-test scores (M = 55.14) with a p-value of 0.000 and N-Gain of 0.37 (moderate category). The developed material integrated contextual topics, critical thinking tasks, and digital tools. It effectively promoted students’ analytical and evaluative reading skills. The study concludes that reading materials incorporating critical thinking elements are pedagogically effective and relevant to current curriculum needs. Penelitian ini membahas kebutuhan mendesak akan inovasi dalam pengajaran keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab di perguruan tinggi keislaman. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya tentang pembelajaran bahasa Arab sebagian besar berfokus pada pemahaman literal, dengan perhatian yang terbatas terhadap pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi bahan ajar membaca bahasa Arab berbasis berpikir kritis guna menjembatani kesenjangan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) melalui model ADDIE, penelitian ini dilakukan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, tes, lembar validasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji paired sample t-test, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan membaca mahasiswa: skor post-test (M = 70,00) secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan skor pre-test (M = 55,14) dengan nilai p = 0,000 dan N-Gain sebesar 0,37 (kategori sedang). Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memadukan topik kontekstual, tugas berpikir kritis, dan alat digital. Bahan ajar ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca analitis dan evaluatif mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar membaca yang mengintegrasikan elemen berpikir kritis bersifat efektif secara pedagogis dan relevan dengan kebutuhan kurikulum saat ini.

Abstract

Shorof (Arabic morphology) plays a crucial role in Arabic grammar by transforming the root of a word into various derived forms to convey precise meanings. These morphological changes are essential for accurate and contextually appropriate communication. As a fundamental branch of Arabic linguistics, the study of shorof enables a deeper understanding of word formation and structural modification, ensuring linguistic accuracy and fluency. This study focuses on analyzing the application of fi‘l tsulāthī mazīd (augmented triliteral verbs) and identifying their errors in the poem Nadzom Syu‘abul Īmān by KH. Zaini Mun‘im, which comprises 314 stanzas. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research gathers data from both primary and secondary sources. The primary data include Nadzom Syu‘abul Īmān, Al-Amtsilah at-Tashrīfiyyah, and Mulakhkhaṣ Qawā‘id al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyyah, while the secondary data consist of relevant literature on augmented triliteral verbs and morphological errors. Data were collected through documentation, reading, and note-taking, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings reveal 79 instances of fi‘l tsulāthī mazīd distributed across seven awzān (patterns): fā‘ala, fa‘‘ala, af‘ala, ifta‘ala, tafa‘‘ala, infa‘ala, and istaf‘ala. Additionally, 20 errors were identified across these patterns, with varying frequencies depending on the morphological form. يلعب علم الصرف دورًا حاسمًا في النحو العربي من خلال تحويل جذر الكلمة إلى صيغ مختلفة للتعبير عن معانٍ دقيقة ومحددة. وتُعد هذه التحولات الصرفية ضرورية لتحقيق التواصل اللغوي السليم والدقيق في السياق. وباعتباره أحد الفروع الأساسية في علم اللغة العربية، فإن دراسة الصرف تُسهم في فهم أعمق لبنية الكلمة وآليات اشتقاقها، بما يضمن سلامة التعبير والطلاقة اللغوية. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل تطبيق الأفعال الثلاثية المزيدة (fi‘l tsulāthī mazīd) والكشف عن أخطائها في قصيدة نظم شعب الإيمان للشيخ زيني منعم، التي تتكون من 314 بيتًا شعريًا. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي النوعي، حيث تم جمع البيانات من مصادر أولية وثانوية. وتشمل المصادر الأولية: نظم شعب الإيمان، وكتاب الأمثلة التصريفية، وملخص قواعد اللغة العربية، بينما تتضمن المصادر الثانوية الدراسات الأدبية واللغوية المتعلقة بالأفعال الثلاثية المزيدة وأخطائها الصرفية. تم جمع البيانات من خلال التوثيق والقراءة الدقيقة وتدوين الملاحظات، ثم تحليلها وفق نموذج مايلز وهوبرمان للتحليل التفاعلي للبيانات. أظهرت النتائج وجود 79 فعلاً ثلاثيًا مزيدًا موزعة على سبعة أوزان صرفية هي: فاعل، فعّل، أفعل، افتعل، تفعّل، انفعل، واستفعل. كما تم تحديد عشرين خطأً صرفيًا ضمن هذه الأوزان، تتفاوت في تكرارها بحسب النمط الصرفي المستخدم.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development process, the validity level of the product, the practicality of the product, and the effectiveness of the developed product. This type of research is research and development (R&D), adapting the 4D development model, which consists of four stages: define, design, development, and disseminate. The subjects of this research were the seventh-grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Datuk Sulaiman Palopo. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, documentation, and tests. Data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of this development research showed that the comic learning media had passed the validation stages by experts with the following results: (1) validation from media experts obtained a score of 95%; (2) validation from subject matter experts obtained a score of 98.33%; (3) validation from practitioner experts reached a score of 95%, and the practicality trial resulted in an average score of 87.67%; (4) product feasibility/effectiveness test resulted in an average score of 86.56%. Based on the validation results from the three expert validators and the practicality test results, it can be concluded that the use of picture cards as a learning medium is feasible, fulfilling the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective, and thus can be applied in Arabic language learning. يهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة عملية التطوير ومستوى صلاحية المنتج ومستوى التطبيق العملي للمنتج ومستوى فعالية المنتج المطور. هذا النوع من البحث هو البحث والتطوير (R&D) من خلال تكييف نموذج التطوير رباعي الأبعاد الذي يتكون من أربع مراحل ، وهي التعريف والتصميم والتطوير والنشر. موضوع هذه الدراسة هو طالب الصف السابع في مدرسة تساناوية داتوك سليمان فالوفو. تستخدم تقنيات جمع البيانات الملاحظة والمقابلات وأوراق التحقق واستبيانات رد الطلاب والتوثيق والاختبارات. تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام تقنيات تحليل البيانات الكمية. تظهر نتائج هذه الدراسة التنموية أن وسيلة التعلم الهزلي قد مرت بمرحلة التحقق من الصحة من قبل الخبراء بالنتائج التالية: (1) تم التحقق من صحة خبراء التعليم للحصول على درجة 95٪. (2) حصل التحقق من صحة خبراء المادة على درجة 98.33٪ ؛ (3) وصلت الدقة من الممارسين الخبراء إلى 95٪ ، وحصلت نتائج اختبار التطبيق العملي على متوسط نسبة مئوية 87.67٪ ؛ (4) اختبار جدوى / فعالية المنتج بمتوسط درجة 86.56٪. بناء على نتائج التحقق من صحة المدققين الخبراء الثلاثة ونتائج اختبارات التطبيق العملي ، يمكن استنتاج أن استخدام البطاقات المصورة كوسيلة تعليمية ممكن مع استيفاء معايير صحيحة وعملية وفعالة بحيث يمكن تطبيقها في تعلم اللغة العربية.

Abstract

In its development, the implementation of learning has now reached the concept of deep learning. Deep learning can be defined as an approach that emphasizes creating a learning environment and learning process that is conscious, meaningful, and enjoyable, through the mind, heart, and senses, body, in a holistic and integrated manner. Deep learning is expected to enhance the learning process, particularly in the development of language skills, both receptive and expressive. This study aims to investigate the integration of deep learning in the development of receptive and expressive language skills. This study employs a qualitative approach with a literature review, as the data obtained are descriptive and expressed in words. The results of this study indicate that various learning methods, such as Project-Based Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, Collaborative Learning, and Problem-Based Learning, are highly relevant because they not only support the achievement of academic competencies but also encourage emotional and social engagement among learners. Each method offers stages or syntax that can be adapted to the language skills that must be developed. Thus, integrating deep learning principles and appropriate methods will result in a learning process that is effective and transformative. Dalam perkembangannya, pelaksanaan pembelajaran kini telah mencapai konsep pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning). Deep learning dapat didefinisikan sebagai suatu pendekatan yang menekankan pada penciptaan lingkungan dan proses belajar yang sadar, bermakna, serta menyenangkan, melalui keterlibatan pikiran, hati, pancaindra, dan tubuh secara holistik serta terintegrasi. Deep learning diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa, baik reseptif maupun ekspresif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi deep learning dalam pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa reseptif dan ekspresif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian pustaka, karena data yang diperoleh bersifat deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk kata-kata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai metode pembelajaran seperti Project-Based Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, Collaborative Learning, dan Problem-Based Learning sangat relevan diterapkan, karena tidak hanya mendukung pencapaian kompetensi akademik, tetapi juga mendorong keterlibatan emosional dan sosial peserta didik. Setiap metode memiliki tahapan atau sintaks yang dapat disesuaikan dengan keterampilan berbahasa yang ingin dikembangkan. Dengan demikian, integrasi prinsip-prinsip deep learning dan metode yang tepat akan menghasilkan proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan transformatif.

Abstract

The contextual approach focuses on students' interests, experiences, and backgrounds in education. It aims to help students understand and relate learning materials to their daily lives, either personally, socially, or culturally. Research Objectives: (1) To describe the implementation of vocabulary system education for beginners based on the contextual approach at Dar Al-Falah Religious School in Ramban Kulon Cermee Bondowoso. (2) To identify the problems encountered in implementing vocabulary system education for beginners based on the contextual approach at Dar Al-Falah Religious School in Ramban Kulon Cermee Bondowoso. (3) To describe the solutions to the problems encountered in implementing vocabulary system education for beginners based on the contextual approach at Dar Al-Falah Religious School in Ramban Kulon Cermee Bondowoso. Our problem statement and data acquisition methods have been thorough and precise. Through interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, we have gathered data that shows students follow the vocabulary system for beginners in an organized and obedient manner. Furthermore, activities in learning the vocabulary system for beginners run smoothly and are organized, with the enthusiasm and motivation provided by the teacher to the students. This has led to a noticeable increase in students' diligence and enthusiasm in memorizing the vocabulary system for beginners, a promising sign for the effectiveness of our proposed solutions.

Abstract

The researcher has noticed about the Arabic Language education process at Nurul Hikam Islamic Senior High School in Situbondo it is known that students' enthusiasm for interest in learning vocabulary is still weak. The researcher believed that the teaching of the Arabic language in the Islamic Secondary School in Situbondo city needs an innovative educational method, especially in teaching Arabic language vocabulary, because teaching vocabulary is the basis of language education. The researcher will use the Smart App Creator program in the manufacture of educational aids (language games). The researcher presented three questions: 1) to develop language games to teach vocabulary based on Android 2) to know the feasibility of developing language games for teaching vocabulary based on Android 3) to know effective is the use of language games to teach vocabulary based on Android. The researcher uses ADDIE research. The data was collected through observation, interview and questionnaire. The data sources are from the head of the school and the teacherThe research uses pre-test and pos-test with analysis of this research is quantitative analysis using SPSS 22.0.

Abstract

This study aims to expand the scientific and intellectual level in the Arab literary field by highlighting the significant role played by Nigerian Arabic literature in providing security and safety in the Dear Nigerian Homeland. The approach followed in this thesis is the descriptive-analytical approach, as it is more suitable for this study. The study dealt with the doctrines of the literati about the function of literature in society, pointing out that literature has many doctrines. Then, she talked about the literary environment of Nigeria before the colonists came to it, pointing out that it was a beautiful academic environment. She also spoke about Nigerian Arabic literature providing security and safety in Nigeria, noting that it played a considerable role in various literary fields, from poetry to speeches and writing.

Abstract

The research aims to measure the enhancement of students' interest in learning the Arabic language at Chuo-Airon Elementary School in Narathiwat, Thailand. The teaching method the teacher uses is dull and lacks variety, leading to students' boredom and difficulty understanding Arabic. The research methodology employed is analytical descriptive using a field research approach. Data sources include teachers and students, with data collection tools comprising observation, interviews, and documents. Data were analyzed through data summarization, presentation, and conclusion extraction. The research findings indicate that peer teaching effectively promotes students' interest in learning Arabic and shapes learning and teaching activities. These results are expected to positively contribute to the development of Arabic language learning methods at Chuo-Airon Elementary School.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine the need for UNO Card media for vocabulary teaching in reading among students at MTsN 7 Lima Puluh Kota, (2) to ascertain the validation of UNO Cards at MTsN 7 Lima Puluh Kota, (3) to determine the practicality of using UNO Cards at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 7 Lima Puluh Kota. The method used in this research is developmental research (R&D). The development model used is the 4-D design: Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The results of this study are as follows: (1) UNO cards are beneficial and meet the needs of teachers in teaching vocabulary for reading Arabic texts. (2) The validation results of UNO Cards indicate they are highly valid with the following details: (a) Methodology expert validation with a percentage of 92% and the score is very accurate, (b) language expert validation at 80% and the score is correct, (c) and validation by subject matter experts at 95%, and the score is very accurate. The overall results indicate that the product validation shows an average score of 89%. This score indicates that the UNO card design is highly valid. (3) The results of using UNO cards are (a) teacher questionnaire responses at 92% and (b) student questionnaire responses at 94%, both indicating that the cards are convenient.
