Abstract

Arabic is often considered difficult by most students therefore an appropiate strategy is needed so that students do not find it difficult. In this case, the student learning strategy is one of components that must be considered carrefully by the teacher in improving student’s Arabic learning outcomes. Student learning strategies according to O’Malley and Chamot are divided in to 3 categories, namely metacognitive, cognitive, and affective social. The purpose of this research is to find out what strategies are used by student in learning, and the influence the student learning strategies on student learning outcomes of MAN 5 Kediri. This study used a quantitative method with an ex-post facto design. The population of this study was 230 students. While the number of samples is this  study were 58 students. Sampling was determined by means of Random Sampling. The results of this study reveated that the learning strategies that were mostly used by students were cognitive strategies with an average score of 57,28. While student learning outcomes belong to the medium category. The effect of metacognitive learning strategies on learning outcomes was 4,8%, the effect of cognitive learning strategies on learning outcomes was 8,3%, and the effect of affective social learning strategies on learning outcomes was 7.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine a series of processes and results in implementing nahwu learning in class 4 Ibtida' Al-Amien Islamic Boarding School, Kediri City using the book al-fushul al-fikriyah. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research type, and the data analysis used in this study is the Miles and Huberman version of the analytical model. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation related to learning the book al-fusul al-fikriyah at the cottage. The results of the research show that the learning begins with a lesson plan that is prepared and prepared by the ustadz and the students so that learning runs more effectively. Furthermore, the implementation of learning through the deductive method is accompanied by several supporting activities such as reasoning, deliberation, rote deposition, practice reading and analyzing pronunciation in books. Evaluation of learning consists of oral tests, written tests and assignments. The learning outcomes can be said to be effective and optimal. This is evidenced by the acquisition of students' scores that reach even more than the average value that has been determined, and an increase in students' understanding and mastery of nahwu science after studying the book.

Abstract

Factors related to writing skills to improve students' abilities include the methods used by teachers. And one of the learning methods related to writing skills is the imla' mandzur method. This method can train students in measuring memory and writing Arabic.This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research and the method used in this research is a qualitative method, with the Miles and Huberman approach. Data collection methods are interviews, observation and documentation, or what is usually called the triangulation method. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to apply the imla' mandzur method and what problems are faced. The aim of the research is to find out how to apply the imla' mandzur method, what are the problems in applying the imla' mandzur method. The results of this research show that the application of the imla' mandzur method in class VIII MTs Nurul Islam can improve students' writing skills. the process of implementing the imla' mandzur method includes giving mufrodat before learning, students are asked to observe the reading text, once it is sufficient then the teacher asks students to close the reading text, the teacher dictates the text and students are asked to write what the teacher dictates on the worksheet without looking at the reading text . Sometimes the teacher also writes a reading text on the blackboard, asks the students to observe the writing, the teacher erases the writing and dictates it. The problem faced is that students do not master Arabic vocabulary, making it difficult for them to follow writing skills using the imla' mandzur method.

Abstract

The research discusses the book Majmu'atul Mahfudzot in Arabic Vocabulary Mastery in Class VIII-A Islamic Junior High School Hasan Muchyi Kediri. The aims of this study were to find out the role of the book Majmu'atul Mahfudzot in mastering Arabic Learning Vocabulary and also to find out the factors that support and inhibit the vocabulary of learning Arabic in class VIII-A Islamic Junior High School Hasan Muchyi Kediri. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method using a type of field research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation. Furthermore, the results of the study show that (1) there is a role for the book majmu'atil mahfudzot on Arabic vocabulary mastery in class VIII-A Islamic Junior High School Hasan Muchyi Kediri. (2) the supporting factors are the existence of Mahfudzot lessons using the majmu'atil mahfudzot book, the methods used by the teacher vary, the supporting facilities and infrastructure of the madrasah. The inhibiting factors include the lack of student will, lack of support from parents or friends, dependence on mobile phones.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the talking stick method supported by audio-visual media in improving the maharah kalam (speaking skills) of seventh-grade students at MTsN 2 Kota Blitar. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the study involved 35 students from class VII-A as the experimental group and 35 students from class VII-B as the control group. Research instruments included observation, tests, and documentation, with data analysis conducted through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The findings revealed that the average post-test score of the experimental group (81.4) was higher than that of the control group (77.2), with a t-value of 3.695 and a significance level of p = 0.001. These results indicate a significant difference between the two groups, leading to the conclusion that the talking stick method supported by audio-visual media positively influences students’ maharah kalam skills.

Abstract

Salah satu solusi bagi masyarakat yang ingin mempelajari bahasa Arab adalah dengan mengambil pelajaran di lembaga kursus. Setiap lembaga khusus kursus tentunya memiliki manajemen pembelajaran yang berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara deskriptif manajemen program Mahir Bahasa Arab yang dilaksanakan di lembaga kursus Naatiq International Arabiyah. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan mengumpulkan data dengan wawancara, observasi lapangan dan dokumentasi. Langkah-langkah yang digunakan untuk analisis data meliputi reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini berupa empat fungsi manajemen, yaitu (1) perencanaan; merancang beberapa program yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta kursus dan menentukan materi serta bahan ajar yang digunakan pada setiap program. (2) pengorganisasian; menentukan pembagian kelas dan pembagian tutor yang mengajar. (3) pelaksanaan; kelas mubtadi' dan mutawassith melaksanakan kegiatan istima', hiwar (percakapan), hafalan mufrodat, kegiatan best speaker. Kelas mutaqoddim melaksanakan kegiatan istima', penulisan makalah, latihan debat. (4) monitoring atau evaluasi; dilakukan kepada peserta kursus secara nonformal yaitu dengan penilaian akumulatif oleh tutor.

Abstract

In the world of education, there is a textbook, which is a book that is used to clarify and simplify the presentation of material so that students are more active in learning and independent towards the expected knowledge or skills. Textbooks must have good quality so that learning objectives can be achieved properly. In the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2016 Article 3 Paragraph 5 states that the contents of a textbook in a textbook must fulfill several aspects, namely material aspects, linguistic aspects, presentation aspects, and graphical aspects. The focus of this research lies in the linguistic aspect. In reality, there are still textbooks that do not meet the aspects of using language that is good and right, especially in learning Arabic. This study aims to find out the language errors contained in arabic textbooks class IX Islamic Junior High School even semester compiled by Deliberations of Subject Teachers in Kediri district, and correction of the language errors. This study used the library method using content analysis techniques, in which researchers analyzed textbooks and studied various reference books to obtain a theoretical basis for the problem under study. The results of the research show that there are several language errors in the arabic textbooks. These errors are reviewed from three sides, namely from the side of syntax, morphology, and writing. Syntactic errors consist of eight forms of errors. As for morphological errors, there are six forms of errors. Then for writing errors there are four forms of errors.

Abstract

The dictionary is one of the important tools in language learning, including the Arabic language. An analysis of the components of this dictionary will provide a deeper understanding of its parts from the perspective of Dr. Ali Al-Qasimy. This study aims to analyze the components of the Saluni Wal Mutaradifat Wal Ma'ani Dictionary using a literature research method. The analysis results indicate that this dictionary still requires further improvements to reach the expected level of perfection. Nevertheless, it possesses adequate vocabulary completeness that can support vocabulary learning in the Arabic language, despite some components being incompletely fulfilled. A few enhancements and additions of specific features are needed for the Saluni Wal Mutaradifat Wal Ma'ani Dictionary to become a stronger resource for Arabic language learners. Although not perfect, this dictionary remains usable and beneficial for users in learning the Arabic language. This research solely conducted content analysis within the dictionary, hence it can still be developed further through subsequent studies such as testing effectiveness with quantitative studies by conducting direct field research.

Abstract

Media plays an important role in the learning process, therefore different types of media appear and many updates along with the development of technology. Choosing the right media can increase student interest and have a positive impact on their success. But in fact, the use of technology-based media has not been widely applied in some schools. One of them is MTsN 3 Kediri included in class VIII. The purpose of this study is to describe Quizizz Learning Media in Arabic Learning for Class VIII MTSN 3 Kediri Students. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model: analysis, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. This study was conducted from January to February in class VIII-B which amounted to 36 students. The design used is a trial of one group pretest-postest design. In the results of research on the development of Quizizz learning media in Arabic language learning grade VIII B MTsN 3 Kediri with a feasibility level through validation tests to media experts, material experts and learning experts. an average score of 89% was obtained which was included in the "very decent" category. Meanwhile, based on the results of the analysis of media attractiveness according to students obtained a score of 88%. Which score is included in the "Very Interesting" category. While the level of media effectiveness is obtained from students' pre-test and post-test results, with the average pre-test score is 60 while the average post-test score is 87. At the t-test stage with a signification level of 0.05, the result of Tcalculate 13.26 was obtained while Ttable 1.67 which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average score of students before and after applying the product from the development results. With the development of Arabic language learning media through Quizizz, Arabic language knowledge is also developing following the millennial era.

Abstract

Evaluation is an important role in education to assess the extent to which learning objectives have been achieved. In this context, the role of the teacher is crucial in designing evaluations. According to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Year 2005 Article 10 Paragraph 1, evaluating the assessment tools that have been prepared is part of the teacher's pedagogical competence. This means that teachers must be able to design and assess evaluation tools to ensure that learning objectives are effectively achieved. In drafting test items, there are various levels of difficulty. Anderson and Krathwohl divide them into three levels: LOTS, MOTS, and HOTS. The type of research used is library research. The data source for this research is the final exam questions for the odd semester of the Arabic language subject for the 2023/2024 academic year on 7th grade in Islamic Junior High School 5 Nganjuk, East Java. The analysis method used to analyze this discussion is a qualitative analysis method using content analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) some questions still focus on LOTS and MOTS levels, with more LOTS and MOTS questions included than HOTS questions, thus requiring re-formulation. 2) From the analysis conducted, it was found that there are 25 LOTS questions, 23 MOTS questions, and 2 HOTS questions, and it was noted that the included HOTS questions lack variety.
