Abstract

This study examines social piety in realizing inner and outer peace from the perspective of Islamic philosophy. The research aims to analyze the concept of social piety, its relationship with human well-being, and its relevance in addressing the spiritual and social crises of modern society. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing various sources related to Islamic philosophy, social ethics, spirituality, and psychological well-being. The findings reveal that social piety in Islamic philosophy is not limited to individual religious devotion but also includes social responsibility, empathy, justice, solidarity, and concern for humanity. Thinkers such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Miskawayh, and Al-Farabi emphasize that true happiness and peace can only be achieved through the balance between spiritual values and harmonious social relations. Furthermore, the study finds that modern crises such as individualism, materialism, alienation, and mental health problems are closely related to the decline of social and spiritual values in society. Therefore, social piety serves as a philosophical and ethical solution in creating psychological well-being, social harmony, and holistic human happiness. This study concludes that social piety in Islamic philosophy is highly relevant as a humanistic paradigm for achieving both inner and outer peace in contemporary society.

Abstract

Majelis taklim is a mosque-based non-formal Islamic educational institution that plays a strategic role in strengthening community religious literacy, social cohesion, and moderate religious attitudes. However, many majelis taklim experience stagnation due to one-way learning methods, unstructured study materials, weak institutional management, and limited youth involvement in religious learning spaces. This community service program aims to revitalize the mosque-based majelis taklim at RT. 07, Sumur Dewa Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City, through the integration of religious literacy, religious moderation, institutional strengthening, and simple digital da'wah practices. The program used Participatory Action Research (PAR) involving mosque administrators, religious leaders, majelis taklim members, youth, students, and lecturers as co-participants. The activities were carried out through needs assessment, co-design of thematic curriculum, interactive halaqah, religious literacy training, religious moderation discussions, digital da'wah mentoring, and formative-summative evaluation. The results indicate increased attendance from an average of 18 to 35 participants per session, youth participation from none to an average of 12 participants per session, and a 32.5% increase in participants' religious knowledge based on pre-test and post-test results. Qualitatively, participants became more critical in verifying religious information, more open to dialogue, and more aware of wasathiyah values such as national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodation of local wisdom. This program contributes a practical model for revitalizing mosque-based community learning that is inclusive, participatory, and adaptive to contemporary socio-digital challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer satisfaction with UMKM Ayam Sambal Geledek located in Nusa Indah, Bengkulu City. The research applies the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) methods to measure overall satisfaction levels and identify priority attributes for improvement. Data were collected from 100 respondents using purposive sampling, with respondents selected based on having purchased the product at least twice. The results show that the CSI value reached 79.38%, indicating that consumers are generally satisfied with the product and services provided. Furthermore, the IPA analysis reveals that several attributes, such as brand labeling and product information, fall into the main priority quadrant, meaning they are important but have not performed optimally. Meanwhile, attributes such as price competitiveness, product variation, and service speed are in the “keep up the good work” quadrant. These findings suggest that although overall satisfaction is high, improvements are still needed in specific attributes to enhance consumer loyalty and competitiveness

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to strengthen digital literacy and raise cybersecurity awareness among content creators and youth in Uteunkot Village, Muara Dua District, Lhokseumawe City. The location was selected as part of the 2025 community empowerment program funded through Unimal’s PNBP scheme. In today’s increasingly complex digital landscape, the need for strong literacy and security awareness is urgent particularly for groups that are highly exposed to online risiko. Young people and digital creators are among the most vulnerable to cyber threats such as phishing scams, social media account breaches, identity theft, and misuse of personal data. In Aceh, cases of cybercrime continue to rise and now affect not only the general public but also professionals such as teachers and journalists. This situation highlights the growing importance of community-level cybersecurity education, especially for rural youth who are active internet users and often produce digital content. The program is expected to enhance the skills and awareness of young people and content creators in safeguarding their digital presence, while also encouraging the formation of a local community that prioritizes responsible and secure online behavior. The training is delivered through an intensive two-day workshop, followed by online mentoring through a discussion group. To assess the participants’ progress, the program includes pre-tests and post-tests measuring improvements in their understanding of digital security

Abstract

Toponymy is the study of the origin, meaning, and use of place names as part of a community’s cultural and historical identity. Place names not only function as geographical markers but also represent local history, collective memory, and regional characteristics. However, rapid residential development often causes a decline in public understanding of the historical background and meaning of place names in their environment. This condition was identified in Royal Residence 2 Housing, RT 28 RW 003, Bumi Ayu Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City, where the name “Gang Kamboja” has long been used by residents but has not been supported by physical markers that strengthen regional identity and preserve local history. This community service program aimed to increase public understanding of toponymy and preserve the origin of the area through the installation of alley name signs. The program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, consisting of Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny stages. Activities were carried out on June 6, 2026, involving KKN students and community representatives. The results showed that residents gained a better understanding of the historical meaning of Gang Kamboja as part of their local identity. In addition, ten alley name signs, namely Gang Kamboja 1 to Gang Kamboja 10, were successfully produced and installed at strategic locations. The presence of these signs improved location identification, supported environmental organization, facilitated public services, and strengthened awareness of local historical heritage. Therefore, integrating toponymy education with practical environmental management activities can serve as an effective strategy for preserving local identity and regional history in residential communities.

Abstract

This community service article aims to describe and analyze the implementation of socialization and education activities on oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) cultivation in RT 20 Sumur Dewa, Bengkulu City, as an effort to empower communities and strengthen household food security. The study employed a descriptive approach using simple mixed methods by combining qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with 15 key informants, and documentation, while quantitative data were obtained through pre-test and post-test administered to 25 participants. Qualitative data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, whereas quantitative data were analyzed descriptively to determine changes in participants' knowledge levels. The results showed that the program was implemented through three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation accompanied by mentoring activities. The average participant score increased from 45 in the pre-test to 82 in the post-test, indicating an improvement in knowledge and understanding regarding oyster mushroom cultivation techniques. Supporting factors included strong community enthusiasm, support from local leaders, and the availability of local raw materials, while limited capital and cultivation space became the main constraints. The activity demonstrates that oyster mushroom cultivation has the potential to become a sustainable community-based home industry that contributes to food security and additional household income.

Abstract

Abstract

Household organic waste, such as sisa sayuran and kulit buah, is a type of rubbish that is frequently produced by the community but is not always handled optimally. The goal of this community engagement program is to increase locals' awareness and proficiency in using the limbah organik rumah tangga as a POC in Komplek Perumahan Royal Residence 2. The methods that are used include socialization, persiapan, and POC demonstration. Top of vegetable scraps, fruit peels, EM4, brown sugar, rice washing water, and air are among the tools used. The fermentation process is carried out over the course of 14 days, with regular pengadukan every day. The results of the activity indicate that the public has a better understanding of organic waste and is capable of practicing POC production on their own. In addition to producing organic liquid that can be used for garden plants and family medicinal plants (TOGA), this activity also increases public awareness of the importance of waste that is environmentally friendly. Accordingly, using household organic waste as POC can be an alternative to waste management in the residential environment.

Abstract

Traditional games are part of cultural heritage that possess educational value and can be utilized as learning media. One of the traditional games still recognized by the community is Engklek. This game not only serves as a form of entertainment but also contains various mathematical concepts that can be studied through an ethnomathematical approach. This study aims to describe the implementation of ethnomathematics in the traditional game of Engklek and to identify the mathematical concepts embedded within it as a learning medium for children. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with children living on Padang Makmur 2 Street, Bumi Ayu, Selebar District, as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that the Engklek game contains various mathematical concepts, including plane geometry, patterns, number sequences, position, and distance measurement. These concepts are reflected in the design of the game board and the rules applied during play. Through Engklek, children can learn geometric concepts in a more concrete and enjoyable way. In addition, the game helps improve children's activeness, logical thinking skills, and interest in learning mathematics. Therefore, the traditional Engklek game can be used as an effective ethnomathematics-based learning medium to support students' understanding of mathematical concepts while also contributing to the preservation of local cultural heritage in the modern era.
