Abstract

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Indonesia often struggle with operational inefficiencies due to manual processes, impacting their growth and competitiveness. GusMie, a noodle and meatball eatery known for its fresh, preservative-free noodles, faces challenges in order duplication, slow financial reconciliation, kitchen workflow bottlenecks, stock mismanagement, and delivery delays. This study proposes integrating a POS system, Kitchen Display System (KDS), and automated inventory management to optimize GusMie's operations. These solutions will ensure more precise tracking of customer orders, improve financial accuracy, streamline kitchen sequencing—especially for its high-demand mie ayam—and enhance stock control to prevent waste of fresh noodles with limited shelf life. Using a case study approach, findings demonstrate that digital transformation significantly improves service speed, order accuracy, stock efficiency, and customer satisfaction, helping GusMie scale sustainably within Indonesia’s competitive food service industry.

Abstract

This community engagement initiative was designed to address the persistent challenge of limited scientific writing proficiency among vocational students, particularly in the Public Sector Accounting Study Program at Ambon State Polytechnic. The program implemented a structured training model grounded in the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, encompassing five phases: needs assessment, module development, workshop facilitation, individualized mentoring, and post training evaluation. A total of 21 final year students participated in a series of interactive sessions focusing on IMRAD structure, academic language, referencing techniques, and reflective practice. Quantitative findings revealed a significant improvement in writing scores following the intervention, while qualitative analysis indicated increased academic self efficacy and peer led knowledge exchange. The program not only enhanced technical writing competencies but also catalyzed the emergence of a collaborative academic culture within the vocational setting. This initiative offers a replicable model for embedding scientific writing development into vocational curricula, contributing to institutional goals of research literacy and publication readiness.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' mathematical competency through learning assistance on logarithms at MAS DDI Baru Baru Tanga. Based on initial observations, students experienced difficulties in understanding the basic concepts of logarithms, especially in relating exponential forms to logarithmic forms and their application in everyday life. To address this, the implementation team provided assistance using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach and the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. The activity involved 25 grade XI IPA students and was carried out over two weeks. The learning process was carried out interactively through discussions, contextual problem solving, and the use of simple digital learning media. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 55.4 to 81.2 after the assistance activity. In addition, student motivation and participation in learning also increased as seen from their activeness throughout the process. This activity succeeded in fostering better conceptual understanding and a positive attitude towards mathematics. This kind of assistance is expected to be implemented sustainably and expanded to other mathematics materials to improve the quality of learning in schools

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance youth awareness and empowerment in preventing stunting, child marriage, and promoting reproductive health education in East Lombok Regency. The program was implemented by the East Lombok GenRe Forum under the supervision of the Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning (DP3AKB) and the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) from 2022 to 2024. A combination of methods was applied, including socialization, workshops, mentoring, the development of Youth Information and Counseling Centers (PIK-R), and mass campaigns involving adolescents across multiple districts. The initiative reached over 25,000 adolescents through the “INI GENTING” (Implementasi Nyata Cegah Stunting – Real Implementation to Prevent Stunting) program and resulted in the formation of 504 Village GenRe Ambassadors as local change agents. According to data from DP3AKB and RRI East Lombok, child marriage cases decreased by nearly 50% during the program period, indicating significant behavioral and awareness shifts among the youth. Furthermore, this initiative strengthened adolescents’ reproductive health literacy, increased understanding of balanced nutrition, and built collective awareness of their role in preventing stunting. The program’s success stems from strong collaboration among the GenRe Forum, local government, educational institutions, and community networks. Thus, this initiative serves not only as an educational platform but also as a sustainable model of community-based youth empowerment that can be replicated at regional and national levels.

Abstract

The development of village digitalization policies in Indonesia has not been fully followed by the availability of official information media at the village level, including in Matobe Village, which has a rich history, MSMEs, tourism potential, and tsunami vulnerability. This research/community service aims to develop a Matobe Village profile website as a means of preserving local history, promoting economic and tourism potential, and disaster education. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach in the form of community-based research development. The population includes village government, community leaders, MSME actors, tourism managers, and residents in coastal areas; the sample was selected purposively, focusing on key informants who understand history, MSMEs, tourism, and disaster risk. The main instruments were researchers and a team of students, supported by interview guidelines, observation sheets, visual documentation, and GPS. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and participatory mapping; analysis was conducted thematically with triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the study show the realization of the desamatobe.site website that contains documented local history, a MSME directory, tourism information on the Nipah Forest and Mabola Waterfall, as well as a digital map of tsunami-prone areas and zones. In conclusion, the village profile website plays a strategic role as a medium for historical preservation, promoting local potential, increasing information transparency, and strengthening the digital literacy capacity and disaster preparedness of village communities.
