Abstract

Academic supervision in elementary schools is still often focused on fulfilling administrative requirements related to teaching and learning, and thus does not yet fully support the continuous improvement of teachers’ pedagogical competencies. This study aims to describe the implementation of collaborative clinical supervision management based on Teacher Performance Management in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competencies at SD Negeri 1 Sindang. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the principal and six teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, which included Teacher Performance Management documents, clinical supervision results, teacher reflections, and follow-up plans. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques, while data analysis utilized the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and the drawing and verification of conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of clinical supervision is carried out through the stages of Teacher Performance Management analysis, an initial meeting (pre-conference), classroom observation, reflection (post-conference), and follow-up. Using Teacher Performance Management data as the basis for supervision enables school principals to objectively identify teachers’ professional development needs, design more targeted professional development programs, and provide guidance tailored to each teacher’s specific needs.  This implementation has led to an increase in teachers’ ability to design learner-centered instruction, implement differentiated instruction, utilize formative assessment, engage in instructional reflection, and develop ongoing follow-up strategies. This study produced a model for implementing collaborative clinical supervision management based on Teacher Performance Management, which integrates teacher performance data into all stages of supervision as a strategy for improving teachers’ pedagogical competencies and the quality of learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of a reflective academic supervision program in improving teachers' classroom management effectiveness at SMP Negeri 1 Kemangkon. A qualitative evaluative approach employing the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) evaluation model was adopted to assess program relevance, resource readiness, implementation quality, and program outcomes. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving the principal, vice principal, teachers, and students selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, while credibility was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The findings indicate that, in the context dimension, reflective academic supervision corresponded closely with teachers' needs in addressing classroom management challenges. In the input dimension, the school demonstrated adequate readiness through structured supervision programs, competent school leadership, appropriate supervision instruments, and strong institutional support. Regarding the process dimension, evidence-based classroom observation, reflective dialogue, constructive feedback, and teacher reflection formed an integrated cycle of professional learning that promoted instructional improvement. In the product dimension, the program enhanced teachers' classroom management skills, increased student engagement, created a more conducive classroom climate, and strengthened teachers' professional confidence. This study proposes the Reflective Classroom Improvement Model (RCIM), which conceptualizes teacher reflection as the mediating mechanism linking academic supervision to classroom management effectiveness. The model extends the application of the CIPP framework beyond program evaluation by explaining the mechanism through which reflective supervision fosters sustainable professional growth and instructional improvement.

Abstract

The rapid development of the chocolate industry in Indonesia has prompted chocolate companies to compete intensively in corporate communication strategies, particularly through digital media platforms. This study aims to examine digital communication patterns and the level of social media activity of three chocolate brands in Indonesia: SilverQueen, Cadbury Dairy Milk Indonesia, and Snickers Indonesia using a qualitative approach. Through systematic observation over fourteen days across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X, this research identified content categories, posting frequency, and public response patterns for each brand. Findings indicate that Snickers Indonesia and Cadbury Dairy Milk Indonesia demonstrate higher levels of digital activity with 58 and 41 posts respectively, utilizing diverse content types including promotions, collaborations, contests, relatable moments, and follower interactions. In contrast, SilverQueen showed minimal activity with only 4 posts, limited to Instagram and Facebook with primarily relatable content and follower engagement. Analysis reveals that communication patterns combine one-way information dissemination, interactive dialogue, and mass media distribution strategies. Instagram emerged as the platform with the highest public response, particularly for Snickers Indonesia during their K-Pop brand ambassador campaign collaboration. The research concludes that digital communication intensity and content variety correlate significantly with public engagement and brand loyalty, positioning Snickers Indonesia and Cadbury Dairy Milk Indonesia in a more strategically advantaged position (Quadrant B) compared to SilverQueen (Quadrant C) in corporate communication strategy. These findings underscore the importance of consistency, content creativity, and integrated digital platform management in maintaining competitive advantage in the digital era.

Abstract

Freedom of expression is a constitutional right that occupies a crucial position in the structure of Indonesia's democratic rule of law, as it is guaranteed in Article 28E paragraph (2), Article 28E paragraph (3), and Article 28F of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. In practice, this guarantee often clashes with restrictive policies through the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, particularly in provisions on insults, defamation, and hate speech in the digital space that have the potential to lead to multiple interpretations and criminalization of criticism. This article aims to analyze the position of freedom of expression as a constitutional right, the constitutional limits of its restrictions, and the development of the Constitutional Court's interpretation in testing the ITE Law, particularly through Decision Number 50/PUU-VI/2008 and Decision Number 105/PUU-XXII/2024. The research uses normative legal methods with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The results of the study indicate that the direction of the Constitutional Court's interpretation has evolved from a more permissive approach to the criminalization of expression to a more restrictive, proportional, and protective interpretation of citizens' constitutional rights in the digital space.

Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing investment interest among the younger generation has not been fully matched by the ability to control heuristic behavior and manage risk adequately and sustainably. This research investigates how heuristic behavior, risk perception, and risk preference influence investment decision-making among students participating in capital market study groups at universities in Semarang City. The sample consisted of 191 students who were chosen through a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were processed by means of SPSS version 25. The findings show that heuristic behavior and risk perception have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions, while risk preference has no significant effect. The practical implications of this study are relevant for young investors, educational institutions, and regulators in improving the quality of investment decision making, and it also serves as a reference for future research.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between mindfulness and family support on emotional regulation among inmates at the Class IIB Kudus State Detention Center. Emotional regulation refers to an individual's ability to manage, control, and express emotions adaptively, while mindfulness and family support are considered important factors in helping inmates cope with psychological pressures during their rehabilitation process. This research employed a quantitative correlational approach. The participants consisted of 60 inmates selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through emotional regulation, mindfulness, and family support scales that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis with two predictors and Pearson Product Moment correlation through SPSS version 26.0. The results revealed a highly significant relationship between mindfulness and family support simultaneously with emotional regulation among inmates, with a multiple correlation coefficient of R = 0.365 and a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.01). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.133) indicates that mindfulness and family support jointly contributed 13.3% to emotional regulation, while the remaining 86.7% was explained by other factors outside the scope of this study. Partially, mindfulness demonstrated a highly significant positive relationship with emotional regulation (r = 0.364; p < 0.01), and family support also showed a significant positive relationship with emotional regulation (r = 0.217; p < 0.01). These findings indicate that higher levels of mindfulness and stronger family support are associated with better emotional regulation among inmates.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital persuasive communication conducted by BAPENDA Lombok Timur through Instagram in encouraging Land and Building Tax compliance. The analysis was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach based on Socialinsider analytical data for 30 days. Indicators used include the number of followers, engagement rate, total posts, total engagements, and total organic views. In addition, this study examined the three posts with the highest engagement rate to see the most effective content patterns. The results showed that the @bapendalotim account had 265 followers, an engagement rate of 1.74%, a total of 10 posts, total engagements of 46, and total Organic Views of 826. The top three posts recorded engagement rates of 3.396%, 1.887%, and 1.509%. Exploratory, the average engagement rate of the top three posts reached 2.264%, higher than the average of the other seven posts which inferentially was around 1.515%. An exploratory correlation test between top post category and engagement yielded a coefficient of r = 0.609, while a simple regression showed that top post status was associated with an increase in engagement of approximately 0.749 percentage points. These findings suggest that featured content can generate higher engagement, but performance across posts remains inconsistent.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of restorative justice in law enforcement at the Bima City Police Resort and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its execution. (Introduction) Restorative justice emerges as an alternative paradigm for resolving criminal cases that prioritizes the restoration of relationships among offenders, victims, and the community, and has gained a firm legal foundation through Police Regulation Number 8 of 2021. However, studies examining its implementation at the Regional Police Resort level in West Nusa Tenggara, particularly in Bima City, remain limited, despite the fact that the sociological characteristics of the local community may distinctively shape its acceptance and practice. (Methods) This research employs an empirical legal research method with a qualitative approach, adopting a socio-legal research type through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary study involving investigators, victims, offenders, and community leaders within the jurisdiction of the Bima City Police Resort. (Results) The findings reveal that the implementation of restorative justice has generally followed the established procedural framework, supported by the deliberative culture of the Bima community and the involvement of customary leaders, yet it continues to face challenges such as limited investigative personnel, low public legal literacy, divergent interpretations among law enforcement institutions, and insufficient legal certainty guarantees for victims. (Discussion) These findings affirm that the effectiveness of restorative justice is strongly shaped by local sociological context, underscoring the need for institutional capacity strengthening, cross-agency regulatory harmonization, and sustained public outreach to ensure that the principles of justice and legal certainty are proportionally realized at the Bima City Police Resort.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integrity crisis of Indonesia's 2024 General Election as portrayed in the documentary film Dirty Vote through the classical Islamic political thought of Abu al-Hasan al-Mawardi and Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali. The study employs a qualitative multi-method design by combining Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of the documentary's empirical claims with library research on major Islamic political texts, including Al-Ahkam as-Sulthaniyyah, Ihya Ulumuddin, and Nasihatul Mulk. The findings indicate that electoral engineering—including manipulation of candidacy age requirements, gerrymandering through Papua's regional expansion, bureaucratic mobilization, weakened oversight by the KPU and Bawaslu, and pork-barrel politics through the politicization of social assistance—constitutes structured, systematic, and massive violations. From Al-Mawardi's perspective, these practices breach the social contract (bay'ah), misuse public funds (Baitul Mal), and produce a moral defect in leadership (Al-Jarh fi al-Adalah). Al-Ghazali's perspective interprets them as political moral decay (fasad al-siyasah), reinforced by the separation of religion from politics, exploitation of poverty (al-faqr), and declining intellectual integrity among opportunistic scholars (ulama al-su') within oversight institutions. The study proposes electoral reconstruction based on institutional accountability (amanah), regulatory transparency (shiddiq), impartial law enforcement ('adl), and the institutionalization of independent civil-society oversight as public control (hisbah).

Abstract

Digital transformation in public service organizations has changed job design, business processes, task distribution, and employee competency requirements. This study aims to analyze the application of job analysis and workload analysis as a basis for human resource restructuring in response to these changes. The study employed a descriptive design with a qualitative approach supported by quantitative workload analysis. It covered all work units within a public service organization in Jakarta, Indonesia. Data were collected through document analysis, semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, job analysis questionnaires, and workload analysis forms. The findings indicate that digitalization has transformed administrative activities, data management, supervision, and reporting processes. Consequently, each position requires technical, administrative, communication, and technological adaptability competencies. The workload analysis also identified an uneven distribution of work across positions. Several positions experienced excessive workloads, whereas others were not optimally utilized. These conditions were influenced by differences in work volume, task complexity, service intensity, and the level of adaptation to digital systems. The study concludes that integrating job analysis and workload analysis is necessary to align job descriptions, competencies, work distribution, and staffing requirements. The analysis provides an empirical basis for task redistribution, workforce adjustment, job competency updates, and continuous digital competency development.
