Abstract

Islamic education faces major challenges in adapting to social and technological changes, especially in dealing with the learning styles of Generation Z. Generation Z, born between the late 1997s and early 2012s, has unique characteristics, including dependence on technology, multitasking abilities, and a preference for interactive and digital media-based learning. This article aims to explore the challenges faced by Islamic education in responding to the learning styles of Generation Z, with a focus on curriculum adaptation, teaching methods, and the application of technology in the learning process. An innovative approach is needed to combine Islamic values with the learning needs of Generation Z, so that Islamic education can remain relevant and effective. This study also examines the role of teachers in guiding Generation Z to continue to understand and apply Islamic teachings in depth, even in this fast-paced digital era. The findings of this article are expected to provide insights and solutions for educators in facing these challenges, as well as contribute to the development of Islamic education that is more adaptive and responsive to the times.

Abstract

Soft skill development is an essential part of pesantren education, aiming to foster creativity, independence, and teamwork among students. One of the implementations of this development was carried out through a handicraft program using simple materials such as ice cream sticks, flannel fabric, hot glue, candles, lighters, and additional decorative items. This program was carried out by the national PKM IAI team from Bogor at Maahad Tahfiz Arabic Al Gontory Lil Banat, involving 45 students divided into 10 groups, each consisting of 4–5 members. The activity was implemented within 90 minutes of crafting time, followed by a 5-minute presentation session for each group to showcase their work. The results of the activity showed that the students were able to produce various creative handicrafts with aesthetic value by utilizing simple materials. Moreover, this program successfully enhanced students’ teamwork, creativity, and communication skills through group discussions and presentations. It also increased their confidence in presenting their work in front of peers. Therefore, handicraft activities not only foster creativity but also serve as an effective medium for developing soft skills that are highly relevant to students’ future lives.

Abstract

The potential for carbon trading through a blue economy approach in the coastal areas of East Aceh Regency using descriptive qualitative methods through literature studies. The results of the study identified significant blue carbon potential from mangrove ecosystems, which function as effective carbon sinks. However, critical findings revealed that 49.85% of the mangrove area is in a state of severe degradation, not only threatening its ecological function but also potentially releasing stored carbon reserves. The development of a comprehensive and contextual literacy strategy is an important prerequisite for realizing the potential of carbon trading. Integrating the blue economy approach with mangrove conservation programs through a carbon trading mechanism can create synergy between environmental preservation and improving the welfare of coastal communities in East Aceh.

Abstract

This study intends to examine the role of learning tools and media sourced from the hadith tarbawi, and to explain strategies that are considered effective in improving understanding and implementation of Islamic education values. The method used is qualitative library research. The source of this data is the hadith on learning methods and various literature which related to the object of research. The data collection technique uses the library research method, namely a data collection technique that is not directly aimed at the research subject, but through several Al-Qur'an and Al-Hadith, books, magazines, and other documentary materials that are most relevant to the study. From this study, it can be concluded that the learning tools and media used by the Prophet, contained in several sources of hadith, can be applied in today's learning. These tools and media are considered very ideal to be applied and implemented in the Islamic learning process. However, adjustments and developments are needed to be more effective in improving understanding of Islamic education values ​​and their implementation. Abstract

This community service activity, conducted by the Literacy-Thematic KKN students of Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati at SDN 2 Karangwangi, aimed to improve students’ reading interest through structured literacy programs. Initial observations showed limited facilities, including the absence of a proper library, insufficient book collections, and an unrealized reading corner, while the School Literacy Movement (GLS) was not optimally implemented. To overcome these challenges, several activities were carried out such as writing stories inspired by books, book reviews, reading aloud, literacy-based projects, village literacy competitions, school literacy visits, and the establishment of a reading corner. The implementation of these programs increased students’ enthusiasm for reading and encouraged them to utilize available facilities. Furthermore, the activities fostered students’ creativity, as reflected in their literary works displayed on the reading corner board. The program also motivated the school to sustain literacy initiatives by appointing a responsible teacher and planning future improvements

Abstract

 In this era of technological advancement, students face various challenges, both now and in the future, that are uncertain, uncertain, complex, ambiguous, and difficult to predict. These challenges can only be addressed through educational transformation to achieve quality and equitable education for all. Teachers should be able to facilitate each student according to their diverse learning needs. The objectives of this community service project are: 1) to describe the implementation of mentoring for the immersive learning approach in elementary schools, and 2) to describe the profile of teachers' abilities in implementing the immersive learning approach in elementary schools. This community service project was designed to provide training to principals and elementary school teachers in the Mirit District to design, implement, and evaluate the immersive learning approach. This community service project proceeded smoothly with various activities including: discussions on strengthening partnerships, training on developing immersive learning tools, immersive learning peerteaching practices, and discussions on evaluation and follow-up. Furthermore, teacher competency in immersive learning has developed, as seen from the immersive learning approach framework, namely understanding the eight dimensions of graduate profiles, learning principles, learning experiences, and the immersive learning framework.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious issue in education, including at the elementary school level. The “Stop Bullying” socialization implemented by IAIN Laa Roiba students in the Community Service Program (KKN) at SDN Tonjong 1 Tajurhalang, Bogor Regency aimed to provide students with an understanding of the definition, forms and negative impacts of bullying, while fostering awareness of mutual respect and the importance of avoiding such behavior. The activity was carried out in two sessions using interactive presentations, discussions, educational games and role-play simulations. The results indicated an increase in students’ knowledge about bullying, the development of empathy and a commitment to refrain from engaging in any form of bullying. The school appreciated the activity as it aligned with efforts to prevent bullying, which has become a major concern in Indonesian education, while the community also supported the program’s sustainability. Theoretically, this activity highlights the crucial roles of teachers, schools, parents and the community in creating a safe, child-friendly and bullying-free learning environment.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the local potential of genjer (Limnocharis flava) in Sukodono Village, which has long been used in a limited way despite its broader economic opportunities. The research applied the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, emphasizing the utilization of local assets as the foundation of empowerment. The stages included surveys and observations to map 18 plots of genjer, socialization to raise awareness of its nutritional and economic potential, training through cooking demonstrations to develop value-added products (genjer rempeyek and festive cookies), mentoring to strengthen technical and managerial aspects, and evaluation through market testing at the Muharam Bazaar. The results showed that genjer based innovations received positive acceptance with a sales rate of 87.5% and a recorded profit, despite the small-scale production. These findings confirm that innovations based on local assets can enhance the added value of local products while simultaneously strengthening community empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of needs and wants in modern society through the perspective of Maqasid al-Syariah according to Imam al-Ghazali. The rapidly growing consumerist and materialistic phenomenon due to globalization, digital technology, and hedonistic culture has caused a shift in consumption priorities so that the boundaries between needs and wants have become blurred. Through a qualitative research method based on literature studies, this study examines al-Ghazali's thoughts on al-daruriyyat al-khams and the categorization of human needs which include dharuriyyah, hajiyyah, and tahsiniyyah. The results show that the concept of maqasid formulated by al-Ghazali provides an ethical and normative framework that can direct people's consumption patterns to align with the principles of benefit, moderation, and material-spiritual balance. These findings also confirm that the application of maqasid values can be a solution to various negative impacts of modern consumerism, such as wasteful behavior, social inequality, and moral degradation. This study concludes that Maqasid al-Syariah is relevant as an ethical guideline in building proportional and civilized consumption behavior in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Clinical pathways are essential instruments for ensuring the quality of medical services, patient safety, and legal protection for healthcare workers. However, their implementation continues to face various challenges in healthcare facilities, including in the Obstetrics Ward of Abepura Regional General Hospital (RSUD Abepura). This study aims to analyze the legal implications of non-compliance with clinical pathways and identify the factors that hinder healthcare workers in their implementation. This research employs an empirical legal method using a normative–empirical approach through questionnaires, observations, and document reviews. The results show that most healthcare workers have a strong understanding of the legal obligations related to clinical pathway implementation, with 95% of respondents acknowledging the legal risks associated with failing to follow established standards. Nevertheless, several discrepancies in practice were found, such as performing episiotomy without indication, incomplete clinical pathway documentation, and a lack of integration between manual clinical pathways and electronic medical records. The main barriers identified include high workload, insufficient training, limited facilities, and weak coordination among healthcare personnel. The discussion reveals a gap between legal awareness and operational application. In conclusion, the implementation of clinical pathways is not yet optimal and requires managerial strengthening, enhanced training, improved facilities, and integrated information systems to support compliance and minimize legal risks.
