Abstract

Abstract

Diabetes is a metabolic disease caused by hyperglycemia, often accompanied by chronic skin lesions. Wounds occur due to infections that appear on the skin. Daffodils have been used by the community as medicine, which is usually used to heal bruises, low back pain, fractures, and antidiabetics. Daffodils contain secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and terpenoids. Each compound has a specific mechanism in the healing of diabetic wounds. This study aims to determine the effect of giving daffodil ethanol extract gel in the healing of wounds in male rat models of diabetes. This research method in vivo used induced male rats with an allexone of 120mg/kgBB. The treatment in rats was divided into 6 treatments, namely normal, negative control, positive control, GEDB 5%, GEDB 10%, GEDB 15%. This study was carried out for 14 days with gel application twice a day. The results of the study showed that 5% Lily Leaf Extract Gel showed complete wound healing in rats. The concentrations of GEDB of 5% and 10% turned out to be almost as effective as chloramphenicol cream, where the wound was completely closed on the 14th day and the healing rate was quite high. The conclusion obtained is that Lily Leaf Extract Gel can treat diabetic wounds in rats.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal protection provided to contract workers in private companies in Indonesia following the enactment of the Job Creation Law and its implementing regulations. The research examines key issues including employment status certainty, fulfillment of normative rights, and the effectiveness of the regulatory framework in reducing vulnerabilities faced by contract workers. This study employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches by analyzing primary and secondary legal materials. The findings indicate that although the Job Creation Law offers clearer regulations regarding fixed-term employment agreements, its implementation remains suboptimal due to weak labor supervision and workers’ limited understanding of their rights. Furthermore, several companies continue to apply contract arrangements that are inconsistent with the nature of the job, leading to uncertainty and potential exploitation. Strengthening legal protection for contract workers therefore requires improved law enforcement, increased corporate compliance, and enhanced labor rights education for workers.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the impact that content authenticity, review quality, and perceived fairness have on trust in digital brands in Indonesian e-commerce applications. The rivalry in the e-commerce sector alongside the slow but steady rise in consumer trust in online transactions are the main backgrounds of the study. A quantitative explanatory approach has been utilized for the study, and 200 current users of e-commerce applications were selected as respondents through purposive sampling. The questionnaires made on a five-point Likert scale were the technique for collecting data and multiple linear regression was the method of analysis used. The research tool has successfully gone through the tests for validity, reliability, and other classical assumptions. The findings indicate that the three independent variables not only individually but also collectively have a significant and positive impact on the trust towards digital brands. Hence, the research has given a theoretical contribution to the literature on the evolution of digital brand trust in the e-commerce context. However, the implications of the research results are of a strategic nature and can be directed at the platform's managers, who in turn can strengthen user trust via, among other things, the use of authentic content, the application of effective review management, and the observance of fair and open policies.

Abstract

In implementing the concept of restorative justice, law enforcement in Indonesia still faces many challenges, particularly in terms of consistency, understanding among law enforcement officers, and coordination between institutions. Restorative justice is a methodology aimed at achieving a more socially just and humanistic form of justice by focusing on restoring relationships between the offender, the victim, and the community. In this study, a normative juridical approach is used to assess the implementation of restorative justice in Indonesia’s law enforcement policies. Legislation, government regulations, and their application by law enforcement officers are evaluated for analysis. The results of the study show that although the principles of restorative justice have been incorporated into several laws, their implementation remains suboptimal. Limited human resources, lack of officer training, and the absence of a uniform understanding of the objectives of restorative justice among law enforcement officials are some of the main factors hindering its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of sustainability reports on the financial performance of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023. Sustainability reports are measured using the level of disclosure based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards on economic, environmental, and social performance, while financial performance is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). This study uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling analysis. Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis. The results show a negative effect on sustainability reporting, environmental performance, and social performance, and an insignificant positive effect on economic performance. These findings indicate that the integration of sustainability into bank business strategies is not yet optimal, and the market has not yet fully financially recognized the sustainability efforts undertaken by the banking industry.

Abstract

Orientalist scholarship on pre-Islamic Arabia often reflects an epistemological bias against Arab civilization, particularly in architectural, social, and spiritual dimensions. K.A.C. Creswell, in Early Muslim Architecture (1932), argued that Islam lacked an original architectural identity, merely adapting Byzantine and Persian models. This view constructed the Arabs as culturally void before Islam. Conversely, Barbara Finster, in “The Pre-Islamic Period” (2004), revised this assumption by emphasizing the continuity of material and symbolic traditions across Yemen, Hijaz, and Nabatean territories. This article reexamines both theories through a Qur’anic lens, focusing on verses that affirm pre-Islamic Arab civilization (Q.S. Saba’ [34]:15, Al-Fajr [89]:6–8, and Ad-Dhuhā [93]:7). Using a thematic tafsir and discourse-critical approach, this study argues that the Qur’an portrays Arabia as a land with historical depth, moral consciousness, and monotheistic roots. Consequently, Creswell’s theory requires revision toward a more balanced framework grounded in Qur’anic and Arab primary sources, in line with Finster’s perspective and contemporary Qur’anic studies by Angelika Neuwirth and Nicolai Sinai.
