Abstract

The home industry sector in North Sulawesi plays a strategic role in supporting the regional economy. However, most business operators still face significant challenges regarding financial management—specifically, an inability to accurately calculate and compile cost of production reports. This study aims to analyze and develop a cost of production report design based on the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM), and to evaluate its impact on optimizing selling prices and increasing business profits. A qualitative approach utilizing an exploratory-descriptive method was employed. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving a sample of home industry operators in North Sulawesi. The findings reveal that the majority of operators still rely on traditional record-keeping methods that overlook critical cost components, such as factory overhead and asset depreciation. This leads to cost of production figures that are either understated (undercosting) or overstated (overcosting), thereby eroding potential profit margins. The SAK EMKM-compliant cost of production report design developed in this study offers a format that is simple, relevant, and easy for business operators to implement without compromising established accounting principles. By adopting this standardized reporting design, home industry operators can achieve cost efficiencies, monitor production expenses in real-time, and set selling prices with greater precision. Consequently, the resulting transparency and accuracy of financial information are shown to sustainably boost business profits and facilitate broader access to formal financing.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of brand image in the effects of price perception and service quality on purchase intention toward Jaecoo vehicles in Jakarta. The study is motivated by the growing competition in the electric-vehicle market and the stronger presence of Chinese automotive brands in Indonesia, which combine digital technology, features, and competitive prices while still facing challenges related to brand reputation and consumer confidence in long-term service. An explanatory quantitative design was employed. Data were collected using a five-point Likert questionnaire from 100 purposively selected respondents aged at least 17 years, residing in Jakarta, and having purchased, searched for information about, compared, tried, or considered purchasing a Jaecoo vehicle. SEM-PLS was used for data analysis. The measurement model met validity and reliability requirements, with outer loadings ranging from 0.841 to 0.984, AVE from 0.814 to 0.933, Cronbach’s alpha from 0.942 to 0.982, and composite reliability from 0.956 to 0.986. The structural model showed strong explanatory power, with R² values of 0.846 for brand image and 0.843 for purchase intention. Price perception positively affected brand image (β=0.652; p<0.001) and purchase intention (β=0.393; p<0.001). Service quality positively affected brand image (β=0.317; p<0.001) but had no significant direct effect on purchase intention (β=-0.029; p=0.701). Brand image positively affected purchase intention (β=0.572; p<0.001). Brand image partially mediated the effect of price perception on purchase intention (β=0.373; p<0.001) and showed an indirect-only mediation pattern in the relationship between service quality and purchase intention (β=0.181; p<0.001). The findings indicate that for a relatively new automotive brand, service quality mainly contributes to purchase intention by strengthening brand image, whereas price perception operates through both direct and indirect mechanisms.

Abstract

Work–life balance (WLB) has increasingly been recognized as a critical driver of employee engagement (EE), yet empirical findings across sectors, occupations, and time periods remain fragmented and inconsistent. This meta-analysis synthesizes evidence from 125 empirical studies published between 2015 and 2025, representing a combined sample of 41,285 employees across diverse global contexts. Using a random-effects model, the overall pooled effect size indicates a moderate-to-strong positive relationship between WLB and EE (r = 0.448, 95% CI [0.393, 0.499], p < 0.001). Heterogeneity analysis revealed substantial variability (I² = 96.64%), prompting moderator tests. Sectoral differences were not statistically significant, demonstrating that the beneficial effects of WLB on engagement are broadly universal across public, private, service, and knowledge-intensive environments. However, occupational category emerged as a significant moderator, with stronger effects observed in manufacturing, healthcare, and education—fields characterized by high emotional, cognitive, or physical demands. Temporal analysis also showed significant moderation: the WLB–EE relationship was weakest pre-pandemic (r = 0.253) and strengthened markedly during (r = 0.456) and after the COVID-19 period (r = 0.463), reflecting shifting global expectations toward flexibility and employee well-being. Publication bias diagnostics (funnel plot asymmetry, Egger’s test, and trim-and-fill adjustments) suggested the presence of bias, although corrected estimates remained robust. Overall, this study reinforces WLB as a foundational psychological and organizational resource, offering theoretical insights and practical implications for HRM and future research in evolving work environments.

Abstract

The construction industry remains one of the most hazardous sectors due to its high exposure to workplace accidents, making workers' safety behavior a critical factor in preventing occupational injuries. Although occupational safety awareness and safety communication have been recognized as important determinants of safety behavior, limited studies have examined the mediating role of organizational commitment in explaining these relationships. This study investigates the effects of occupational safety awareness and safety communication on workers' safety behavior, with organizational commitment serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using survey data collected from construction workers at PT Truba Jaga Cita Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that occupational safety awareness and safety communication positively and significantly influence organizational commitment and workers' safety behavior. Organizational commitment also has a significant positive effect on safety behavior and partially mediates the relationships between occupational safety awareness, safety communication, and safety behavior. These findings suggest that strengthening organizational commitment enhances the effectiveness of individual safety awareness and organizational communication in promoting safe work practices. The study contributes to occupational safety management literature by providing an integrated behavioral model that combines individual and organizational factors in improving safety behavior. Practically, the findings offer guidance for construction companies in developing sustainable safety strategies to reduce workplace accidents and strengthen organizational safety performance.

Abstract

Pondoknongko Bridge is a transportation infrastructure facility connecting Sukojati Village and Pondoknongko Village, Kabat District, Banyuwangi Regency, and plays an important role in supporting community mobility and the distribution of agricultural products and materials. As the structure has been in service since its construction in 1990–1991, an asset management-based bridge condition evaluation is required to determine appropriate maintenance strategies. This study aims to evaluate the condition of bridge elements based on visual inspection, analyze the traceability of the implementation of the Bridge Management System (BMS) and Bridge Condition Rating (BCR), and determine the required maintenance follow-up based on element conditions. The study employed a descriptive case study approach through the reanalysis of inventory and condition inspection data for Pondoknongko Bridge collected in 2023. The evaluation was conducted by linking the identified damage, component condition values, BMS assessment parameters, and the weighting process in BCR. The inspection results indicated condition degradation in the form of moss growth and dirt accumulation on concrete surfaces, wear on the deck and approach areas, localized damage to bearing seats, and deterioration of rubber bearings. The evaluation resulted in a BMS condition value of NK = 2, with several critical elements receiving a condition score of 4, particularly the piers, joints, rubber bearings, and pavement surfaces. The BCR aggregate value of 5.889 can be calculated mathematically; however, validation is required due to the presence of components with special codes. This study provides an evaluation of the consistency between visual inspection findings, element condition values, and condition-based maintenance decisions.
