Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in improving students' reading skills on academic ability test questions, as well as identifying the obstacles faced by teachers in its implementation. The subjects of the study were teachers at Sukoharjo State Islamic Senior High School and Sukoharjo State Islamic Junior High School 3. The informants of this study were teachers. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the CIRC model was carried out through four steps of activities, namely preparation and understanding of the topic (pre-reading), reading activities (reading), writing activities (writing), and post-reading activities (post-reading). These four steps were able to encourage active student involvement, improve text comprehension, and train students' analytical skills in answering academic ability test questions. However, in its implementation, teachers still face several obstacles, namely limited time to implement all stages of CIRC, differences in student ability levels, difficulties in managing group discussions, and limited resources and relevant teaching materials. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the CIRC model has the potential to improve students' reading skills on academic ability test questions, but it requires careful planning, effective classroom management, and adequate learning resource support so that its implementation can run optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Reward and Punishment in improving students' ability to complete academic ability test questions and identify the components that determine its effectiveness. This study was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Boyolali with a qualitative approach through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that there are four main steps in the application of Reward and Punishment, namely: (1) setting clear goals and criteria so that students understand the academic achievement targets specifically and measurably; (2) positive reinforcement through rewards, such as praise, recognition, or awards that are relevant to students' efforts and achievements; (3) providing constructive punishment, in the form of educational consequences oriented towards improving behavior and increasing abilities, without demeaning students' self-esteem; and (4) evaluating and adjusting the Reward and Punishment system through monitoring test results and students' learning behavior to ensure the effectiveness of the strategies implemented. In addition, four main factors were found that influence the effectiveness of Reward and Punishment, namely: (1) student involvement and motivation in learning; (2) the types and forms of rewards and punishments given; (3) students' perceptions and attitudes towards rewards and punishments; and (4) the consistency and frequency of their application in the classroom. Thus, rewards and punishments will be more effective in improving the ability to solve academic test questions if they are applied clearly, educationally, fairly, and accompanied by continuous evaluation and consistent implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of in-depth learning and optimization efforts made by teachers in the process of compiling questions based on the Academic Ability Test (TKA). The research subjects were teachers at MIN 5 Boyolali, MIN 1 Boyolali, MTsN 2 Boyolali, MAN 2 Boyolali. The informants of this study were teachers. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of in-depth learning is carried out through four main activities, namely: (1) concept exploration, (2) contextual problem analysis, (3) reflection on understanding, and (4) designing reasoning-based test items. These four activities reflect the principle of deep learning which emphasizes in-depth understanding of the material. In addition, the study also found that teachers made optimization efforts through four complementary activities, namely: (1) increasing conceptual understanding, (2) strengthening context analysis, (3) deepening learning reflection, and (4) improving technical skills in compiling questions. Overall, the research results show that the implementation of in-depth learning and its optimization contribute significantly to improving the quality of TKA question preparation, although strengthening technical capabilities and further assistance are still needed to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of anti-corruption education in Pancasila Education learning at SMP Negeri 18 Surakarta, identify teachers' strategies in instilling anti-corruption values in students, and analyze supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of the school principal, Pancasila Education teachers, and eighth grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that anti-corruption education had been implemented through the cultivation of honesty, discipline, and responsibility values in the learning process. Teachers implemented several strategies such as providing understanding of anti-corruption values, encouraging honest and disciplined behavior, giving independent assignments, and providing role models for students. Supporting factors include teacher commitment and school support in strengthening character education, while inhibiting factors include differences in student character and external environmental influences.

Abstract

In the continuously evolving digital era, organizations are required to optimize information technology to improve service quality and strengthen customer relationships. The Business Center Division faces various challenges, such as delays in handling complaints, suboptimal recording of customer interactions, and conventional service processes, which lead to decreased service effectiveness and customer satisfaction levels. Therefore, a solution is needed in the form of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system capable of integrating customer data management, improving communication quality, and supporting fast, accurate decision-making. This study aims to design and implement a CRM system within the Business Center Division to enhance customer satisfaction and organizational operational efficiency. The research methodology includes system requirements analysis, system design, application development, implementation, and performance evaluation post-deployment. The developed CRM system is designed to support the recording of service activities, centralized customer data management, systematic monitoring and handling of complaints, and the provision of relevant reports and information for management. The results indicate that the implementation of the CRM system improves service quality through more structured and well-documented work processes, accelerates response times to customer needs and complaints, facilitates information access, and enhances inter-departmental coordination. The application of CRM also has a positive impact on employee efficiency and helps the organization build better long-term relationships with customers. Thus, the implementation of a CRM system in the Business Center Division is proven to be an effective solution for increasing customer satisfaction, improving business processes, and supporting organizational competitiveness amidst an increasingly competitive and service-oriented business environment.

Abstract

Learning in lower elementary school grades requires learning support tailored to the needs and developmental levels of students. One relevant approach to support this process is the application of scaffolding within the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) framework. This study aims to describe the forms and stages of scaffolding implementation, the role of teachers in optimizing students' ZPD, responses and development of student learning abilities, and the challenges and strategies teachers face in implementing scaffolding in second-grade classrooms at SDN Sambikerep 1/479. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. The subjects included one second-grade teacher and second-grade students. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed through coding, categorizing, and drawing conclusions based on the research focus. Data validity was strengthened through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that scaffolding implementation is not limited to academic activities but begins as teachers build relationships and become familiar with students' daily lives. Scaffolding is implemented in a gradual and flexible manner through non-academic mentoring, initial assistance, adjustments to task difficulty, and gradual withdrawal of support based on student development. Teachers act as facilitators in optimizing students' Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) by recognizing individual abilities, providing contextual learning support, and managing the classroom to support the mentoring process. The implementation of scaffolding has a positive impact on student responses, demonstrated by increased self-confidence, learning independence, and positive social interactions. The main challenges in implementing scaffolding include differences in student abilities and limited learning time, which are addressed through adaptive and flexible learning strategies. This study concludes that the implementation of scaffolding that is sustainable and responsive to student needs can support the optimization of ZPD and the learning development of lower-grade students.

Abstract

analyzes the leadership of Sherly Tjoanda in regional economic development in Maluku Utara using the Feminist Political Economy perspective. In recent years, North Maluku has experienced significant economic growth driven by the expansion of the nickel industry and mineral downstreaming policies. The dominance of the mining sector has made extractive industries the main driver of the regional economy, but it has also created several challenges, including economic dependence on extractive sectors, potential social inequality, and unequal access to development benefits. A gender perspective is important to understand how power relations, networks of political and economic elites, and economic structures influence development policy-making. The Feminist Political Economy perspective emphasizes that the presence of women in leadership positions does not automatically produce gender transformation within political and economic systems. Therefore, economic development should be analyzed not only in terms of economic growth but also in terms of how development benefits are distributed among different social groups, including women and local communities.   Keywords: Women’s leadership, economic development, nickel industry, North Maluku   Abstrak. Analisis kepemimpinan Sherly Tjoanda dalam pembangunan ekonomi di Maluku Utara dengan menggunakan perspektif Feminist Political Economy. Pertumbuhan ekonomi Maluku Utara dalam beberapa tahun terakhir menunjukkan peningkatan yang sangat signifikan yang didorong oleh ekspansi industri nikel serta kebijakan hilirisasi mineral. Dominasi sektor pertambangan menjadikan industri ekstraktif sebagai penggerak utama perekonomian daerah, namun juga menimbulkan berbagai tantangan seperti ketergantungan ekonomi terhadap sektor ekstraktif, potensi ketimpangan sosial, serta perbedaan akses terhadap manfaat pembangunan. Analisis gender menjadi penting untuk melihat bagaimana relasi kekuasaan, jaringan elit politik dan ekonomi, serta struktur ekonomi memengaruhi proses pengambilan kebijakan pembangunan. Perspektif Feminist Political Economy menekankan bahwa keberadaan perempuan dalam posisi kepemimpinan tidak selalu secara otomatis menghasilkan transformasi gender dalam sistem politik dan ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, pembangunan ekonomi perlu dianalisis tidak hanya dari sisi pertumbuhan ekonomi, tetapi juga dari distribusi manfaat pembangunan bagi berbagai kelompok sosial, termasuk perempuan dan masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

Perkawinan campuran antara Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) dan Warga Negara Asing (WNA) semakin meningkat seiring dengan mobilitas global dan interaksi lintas negara. Fenomena ini menimbulkan persoalan hukum, terutama terkait status kewarganegaraan anak yang lahir dari perkawinan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan asas lex patriae dalam sistem kewarganegaraan ganda terbatas bagi anak hasil perkawinan campuran serta implikasi hukum apabila anak tidak melakukan pemilihan kewarganegaraan setelah mencapai usia yang ditentukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konseptual, menggunakan bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kewarganegaraan ganda terbatas bertujuan memberikan perlindungan hukum bagi anak agar tidak mengalami keadaan tanpa kewarganegaraan (stateless). Namun dalam praktiknya masih terdapat berbagai hambatan administratif, hukum, dan sosial, seperti kurangnya sosialisasi, ketidaksinkronan data antar lembaga, serta kompleksitas prosedur administratif. Apabila anak tidak memilih kewarganegaraan setelah berusia 18 tahun atau menikah, maka ia dapat kehilangan kewarganegaraan Indonesia secara otomatis, yang berdampak pada hilangnya berbagai hak keperdataan dan perlindungan hukum. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembaruan kebijakan melalui perbaikan regulasi, penguatan koordinasi antar lembaga, serta digitalisasi sistem administrasi kewarganegaraan untuk menjamin kepastian hukum dan perlindungan hak anak.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan proses pendidikan mahasiswa UNU Surakarta. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran serta perannya terhadap peningkatan kualitas proses pendidikan mahasiswa. Pembahasan difokuskan pada empat aspek utama, yaitu perencanaan evaluasi pembelajaran, pelaksanaan evaluasi sebagai alat ukur hasil belajar mahasiswa, evaluasi sebagai umpan balik bagi dosen dan mahasiswa, serta tindak lanjut evaluasi dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran yang diawali dengan perencanaan yang matang mampu membantu dosen menetapkan tujuan, indikator, instrumen, dan teknik penilaian secara objektif dan terarah. Dalam pelaksanaannya, evaluasi berfungsi untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman, penguasaan konsep, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menerapkan ilmu yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan. Selain itu, evaluasi juga berperan sebagai umpan balik bagi dosen untuk memperbaiki metode, strategi, dan media pembelajaran, serta bagi mahasiswa untuk merefleksikan kemampuan dan kekurangan dalam belajar. Tindak lanjut dari hasil evaluasi, seperti pengayaan, remedial, dan revisi strategi pembelajaran, menjadi faktor penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Evaluasi pembelajaran juga berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas proses belajar mengajar, menumbuhkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa, dan mendorong terciptanya budaya akademik yang lebih berkualitas. Dengan demikian, pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran yang sistematis, objektif, dan berkelanjutan dapat menjadi dasar penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses pendidikan mahasiswa UNU Surakarta.

Abstract

Work Engagement refers to the extent to which individuals feel psychologically connected to their work. In organizational settings, transformational leadership is considered one of the factors that may influence this condition through inspiration, role modeling, and individual development. This study aimed to examine the relationship between transformational leadership and Work Engagement using a quantitative correlational approach involving 110 respondents. The instruments used were a transformational leadership scale (16 items) and a Work Engagement scale (9 items), both of which demonstrated satisfactory validity and reliability. Linear regression analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between transformational leadership and Work Engagement (p = 0.031), with a contribution of 4.3%. These findings indicate that better transformational leadership is associated with higher levels of Work Engagement, although other factors also play a role. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of leadership in fostering Work Engagement within organizational contexts.
